1 A nd Jehovah called to Moses and spoke to him out of the tent of meeting, saying,
The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the meeting tent, saying,
2 S peak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When any man of you presenteth an offering to Jehovah, ye shall present your offering of the cattle, of the herd and of the flock.
“Speak to the people of Israel. Tell them, ‘When any of you bring a gift in worship to the Lord, bring your gift of animals from the herd or the flock.
3 I f his offering be a burnt-offering of the herd, he shall present it a male without blemish: at the entrance of the tent of meeting shall he present it, for his acceptance before Jehovah.
If his gift is a burnt gift from the cattle, he should bring a male that is perfect. He should give it at the door of the meeting tent, so he will be pleasing to the Lord.
4 A nd he shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt-offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
He will lay his hand on the head of the burnt gift and it will be received to take away his sins.
5 A nd he shall slaughter the bullock before Jehovah; and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood round about on the altar that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
He will kill the young bull before the Lord. Then Aaron’s sons, the religious leaders, will take the blood and put it around on the altar that is at the door of the meeting tent.
6 A nd he shall flay the burnt-offering, and cut it up into its pieces.
He will skin the burnt gift and cut it into pieces.
7 A nd the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay wood in order on the fire;
The sons of Aaron the religious leader will put fire on the altar and lay wood on the fire.
8 a nd Aaron's sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat, in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar;
Then Aaron’s sons, the religious leaders, will lay the pieces, the head and the fat on the wood that is on the altar fire.
9 b ut its inwards and its legs shall he wash in water; and the priest shall burn all on the altar, a burnt-offering, an offering by fire to Jehovah of a sweet odour.
But he will wash its legs and inside parts with water. Then the religious leader will burn all of it on the altar as a burnt gift. It will be a gift by fire, a pleasing smell to the Lord.
10 A nd if his offering be of the flock, of the sheep or of the goats, for a burnt-offering, he shall present it a male without blemish.
‘If his gift is a burnt gift from the sheep or the goats of the flock, he should give a male that is perfect.
11 A nd he shall slaughter it on the side of the altar northward before Jehovah; and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood on the altar round about.
He should kill it on the north side of the altar before the Lord. Aaron’s sons, the religious leaders, will put its blood around on the altar.
12 A nd he shall cut it into its pieces, and its head, and its fat; and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar;
Then he will cut it into pieces with its head and its fat. And the religious leader will lay them on the wood that is on the altar fire.
13 b ut the inwards and the legs shall he wash with water; and the priest shall present all, and burn on the altar: it is a burnt-offering, an offering by fire to Jehovah of a sweet odour.

14 A nd if his offering to Jehovah be a burnt-offering of fowls, then he shall present his offering of turtle-doves, or of young pigeons.
‘If his gift is a burnt gift of birds, he should bring his gift from the turtle-doves or young pigeons.
15 A nd the priest shall bring it near to the altar and pinch off its head and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be pressed out at the side of the altar.
The religious leader will bring it to the altar and take off its head. Then he will burn it on the altar. Its blood will flow down on the side of the altar.
16 A nd he shall remove its crop with its feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east, into the place of the ashes;
He will take the part of its body where the food it eats is kept and with its feathers throw them on the ashes on the east side of the altar.
17 a nd he shall split it open at its wings, shall not divide asunder; and the priest shall burn it on the altar on the wood that is on the fire: it is a burnt-offering, an offering by fire to Jehovah of a sweet odour.
Then he will tear it by its wings, but not divide it. And the religious leader will burn it on the altar as a burnt gift. It will be a gift by fire, a pleasing smell to the Lord.
