1 从 前 以 法 莲 说 话 ， 人 都 战 兢 ， 他 在 以 色 列 中 居 处 高 位 ； 但 他 在 事 奉 巴 力 的 事 上 犯 罪 就 死 了 。

When Ephraim speaketh tremblingly, He hath been lifted up in Israel, When he becometh guilty in Baal he dieth.

2 现 今 他 们 罪 上 加 罪 ， 用 银 子 为 自 己 铸 造 偶 像 ， 就 是 照 自 己 的 聪 明 制 造 ， 都 是 匠 人 的 工 作 。 有 人 论 说 ， 献 祭 的 人 可 以 向 牛 犊 亲 嘴 。

And now do they add to sin, And make to them a molten image of their silver, By their own understanding -- idols, A work of artizans -- all of it, Of them they say, who sacrificers among men, `The calves let them kiss.'

3 因 此 ， 他 们 必 如 早 晨 的 云 雾 ， 又 如 速 散 的 甘 露 ， 像 场 上 的 糠 秕 被 狂 风 吹 去 ， 又 像 烟 气 腾 於 窗 外 。

Therefore they are as a cloud of the morning, And as dew, rising early, going away, As chaff tossed about out of a floor, And as smoke out of a window.

4 自 从 你 出 埃 及 地 以 来 ， 我 就 是 耶 和 华 ─ 你 的 神 。 在 我 以 外 ， 你 不 可 认 识 别 神 ； 除 我 以 外 并 没 有 救 主 。

And I Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt, And a God besides Me thou dost not know, And a Saviour -- there is none save Me.

5 我 曾 在 旷 野 乾 旱 之 地 认 识 你 。

I -- I have known thee in a wilderness, In a land of droughts.

6 这 些 民 照 我 所 赐 的 食 物 得 了 饱 足 ； 既 得 饱 足 ， 心 就 高 傲 ， 忘 记 了 我 。

According to their feedings they are satiated, They have been satiated, And their heart is lifted up, Therefore they have forgotten Me,

7 因 此 ， 我 向 他 们 如 狮 子 ， 又 如 豹 伏 在 道 旁 。

And I am to them as a lion, As a leopard by the way I look out.

8 我 遇 见 他 们 必 像 丢 崽 子 的 母 熊 ， 撕 裂 他 们 的 胸 膛 （ 或 译 ： 心 膜 ） 。 在 那 里 ， 我 必 像 母 狮 吞 吃 他 们 ； 野 兽 必 撕 裂 他 们 。

I do meet them as a bereaved bear, And I rend the enclosure of their heart.

9 以 色 列 啊 ， 你 与 我 反 对 ， 就 是 反 对 帮 助 你 的 ， 自 取 败 坏 。

And I consume them there as a lioness, A beast of the field doth rend them.

10 你 曾 求 我 说 ： 给 我 立 王 和 首 领 。 现 在 你 的 王 在 哪 里 呢 ？ 治 理 你 的 在 哪 里 呢 ？ 让 他 在 你 所 有 的 城 中 拯 救 你 罢 ！

Thou hast destroyed thyself, O Israel, But in Me thy help, Where thy king now -- And he doth save thee in all thy cities? And thy judges of whom thou didst say, `Give to me a king and heads?'

11 我 在 怒 气 中 将 王 赐 你 ， 又 在 烈 怒 中 将 王 废 去 。

I give to thee a king in Mine anger, And I take away in My wrath.

12 以 法 莲 的 罪 孽 包 裹 ； 他 的 罪 恶 收 藏 。

Bound up the iniquity of Ephraim, Hidden his sin,

13 产 妇 的 疼 痛 必 临 到 他 身 上 ； 他 是 无 智 慧 之 子 ， 到 了 产 期 不 当 迟 延 。

Pangs of a travailing woman come to him, He a son not wise, For he remaineth not the time for the breaking forth of sons.

14 我 必 救 赎 他 们 脱 离 阴 间 ， 救 赎 他 们 脱 离 死 亡 。 死 亡 啊 ， 你 的 灾 害 在 哪 里 呢 ？ 阴 间 哪 ， 你 的 毁 灭 在 哪 里 呢 ？ 在 我 眼 前 绝 无 後 悔 之 事 。

From the hand of Sheol I do ransom them, From death I redeem them, Where thy plague, O death? Where thy destruction, O Sheol? Repentance is hid from Mine eyes.

15 他 在 弟 兄 中 虽 然 茂 盛 ， 必 有 东 风 刮 来 ， 就 是 耶 和 华 的 风 从 旷 野 上 来 。 他 的 泉 源 必 乾 ； 他 的 源 头 必 竭 ； 仇 敌 必 掳 掠 他 所 积 蓄 的 一 切 宝 器 。

Though he among brethren produceth fruit, Come in doth an east wind, a wind of Jehovah, From a wilderness it is coming up, And it drieth up his fountain, And become dry doth his spring, It -- it spoileth a treasure -- every desirable vessel.

16 撒 玛 利 亚 必 担 当 自 己 的 罪 ， 因 为 悖 逆 他 的 神 。 他 必 倒 在 刀 下 ； 婴 孩 必 被 摔 死 ； 孕 妇 必 被 剖 开 。

Become desolate doth Samaria, Because she hath rebelled against her God, By sword they do fall, Their sucklings are dashed in pieces, And its pregnant ones are ripped up!
