1 Y ahweh said to me, “Take a large tablet, and write on it with a man’s pen, ‘For Maher Shalal Hash Baz’;

耶 和 華 對 我 說 ： 你 取 一 個 大 牌 ， 拿 人 所 用 的 筆 （ 或 譯 ： 人 常 用 的 字 ） ， 寫 上 瑪 黑 珥 沙 拉 勒 哈 施 罷 斯 （ 就 是 擄 掠 速 臨 、 搶 奪 快 到 的 意 思 ） 。

2 a nd I will take for myself faithful witnesses to testify: Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.”

我 要 用 誠 實 的 見 證 人 ， 祭 司 烏 利 亞 和 耶 比 利 家 的 兒 子 撒 迦 利 亞 記 錄 這 事 。

3 I went to the prophetess, and she conceived, and bore a son. Then Yahweh said to me, “Call his name ‘Maher Shalal Hash Baz.’

我 ─ 以 賽 亞 與 妻 子 （ 原 文 是 女 先 知 ） 同 室 ； 他 懷 孕 生 子 ， 耶 和 華 就 對 我 說 ： 給 他 起 名 叫 瑪 黑 珥 沙 拉 勒 哈 施 罷 斯 ；

4 F or before the child knows how to say, ‘My father,’ and, ‘My mother,’ the riches of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried away by the king of Assyria.”

因 為 在 這 小 孩 子 不 曉 得 叫 父 叫 母 之 先 ， 大 馬 色 的 財 寶 和 撒 瑪 利 亞 的 擄 物 必 在 亞 述 王 面 前 搬 了 去 。

5 Y ahweh spoke to me yet again, saying,

耶 和 華 又 曉 諭 我 說 ：

6 “ Because this people have refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

這 百 姓 既 厭 棄 西 羅 亞 緩 流 的 水 ， 喜 悅 利 汛 和 利 瑪 利 的 兒 子 ；

7 n ow therefore, behold, the Lord brings upon them the mighty flood waters of the River: the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks.

因 此 ， 主 必 使 大 河 翻 騰 的 水 猛 然 沖 來 ， 就 是 亞 述 王 和 他 所 有 的 威 勢 ， 必 漫 過 一 切 的 水 道 ， 漲 過 兩 岸 ；

8 I t will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through; it will reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of its wings will fill the width of your land, Immanuel.

必 沖 入 猶 大 ， 漲 溢 氾 濫 ， 直 到 頸 項 。 以 馬 內 利 啊 ， 他 展 開 翅 膀 ， 遍 滿 你 的 地 。

9 M ake an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Listen, all you from far countries: dress for battle, and be shattered! Dress for battle, and be shattered!

列 國 的 人 民 哪 ， 任 憑 你 們 喧 嚷 ， 終 必 破 壞 ； 遠 方 的 眾 人 哪 ， 當 側 耳 而 聽 ！ 任 憑 你 們 束 起 腰 來 ， 終 必 破 壞 ； 你 們 束 起 腰 來 ， 終 必 破 壞 。

10 T ake counsel together, and it will be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it will not stand: for God is with us.”

任 憑 你 們 同 謀 ， 終 歸 無 有 ； 任 憑 你 們 言 定 ， 終 不 成 立 ； 因 為 神 與 我 們 同 在 。

11 F or Yahweh spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

耶 和 華 以 大 能 的 手 ， 指 教 我 不 可 行 這 百 姓 所 行 的 道 ， 對 我 這 樣 說 ：

12 “ Don’t say, ‘A conspiracy!’ concerning all about which this people say, ‘A conspiracy!’ neither fear their threats, nor be terrorized.

這 百 姓 說 同 謀 背 叛 ， 你 們 不 要 說 同 謀 背 叛 。 他 們 所 怕 的 ， 你 們 不 要 怕 ， 也 不 要 畏 懼 。

13 Y ahweh of Armies is who you must respect as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.

但 要 尊 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 為 聖 ， 以 他 為 你 們 所 當 怕 的 ， 所 當 畏 懼 的 。

14 H e will be a sanctuary, but for both houses of Israel, he will be a trap and a snare for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

他 必 作 為 聖 所 ， 卻 向 以 色 列 兩 家 作 絆 腳 的 石 頭 ， 跌 人 的 磐 石 ； 向 耶 路 撒 冷 的 居 民 作 為 圈 套 和 網 羅 。

15 M any will stumble over it, fall, be broken, be snared, and be captured.”

許 多 人 必 在 其 上 絆 腳 跌 倒 ， 而 且 跌 碎 ， 並 陷 入 網 羅 ， 被 纏 住 。

16 W rap up the testimony. Seal the law among my disciples.

你 要 捲 起 律 法 書 ， 在 我 門 徒 中 間 封 住 訓 誨 。

17 I will wait for Yahweh, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

我 要 等 候 那 掩 面 不 顧 雅 各 家 的 耶 和 華 ； 我 也 要 仰 望 他 。

18 B ehold, I and the children whom Yahweh has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from Yahweh of Armies, who dwells in Mount Zion.

看 哪 ， 我 與 耶 和 華 所 給 我 的 兒 女 ， 就 是 從 住 在 錫 安 山 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 來 的 ， 在 以 色 列 中 作 為 預 兆 和 奇 蹟 。

19 W hen they tell you, “Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter:” shouldn’t a people consult with their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

有 人 對 你 們 說 ： 當 求 問 那 些 交 鬼 的 和 行 巫 術 的 ， 就 是 聲 音 綿 蠻 ， 言 語 微 細 的 。 你 們 便 回 答 說 ： 百 姓 不 當 求 問 自 己 的 神 嗎 ？ 豈 可 為 活 人 求 問 死 人 呢 ？

20 T urn to the law and to the testimony! If they don’t speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

人 當 以 訓 誨 和 法 度 為 標 準 ； 他 們 所 說 的 ， 若 不 與 此 相 符 ， 必 不 得 見 晨 光 。

21 T hey will pass through it, very distressed and hungry; and it will happen that when they are hungry, they will worry, and curse by their king and by their God. They will turn their faces upward,

他 們 必 經 過 這 地 ， 受 艱 難 ， 受 飢 餓 ； 飢 餓 的 時 候 ， 心 中 焦 躁 ， 咒 罵 自 己 的 君 王 和 自 己 的 神 。

22 a nd look to the earth, and see distress, darkness, and the gloom of anguish. They will be driven into thick darkness.

仰 觀 上 天 ， 俯 察 下 地 ， 不 料 ， 盡 是 艱 難 、 黑 暗 ， 和 幽 暗 的 痛 苦 。 他 們 必 被 趕 入 烏 黑 的 黑 暗 中 去 。
