1 H e said to Moses, “Come up to Yahweh, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship from a distance.

耶 和 華 對 摩 西 說 ： 你 和 亞 倫 、 拿 答 、 亞 比 戶 ， 並 以 色 列 長 老 中 的 七 十 人 ， 都 要 上 到 我 這 裡 來 ， 遠 遠 的 下 拜 。

2 M oses alone shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near. The people shall not go up with him.”

惟 獨 你 可 以 親 近 耶 和 華 ； 他 們 卻 不 可 親 近 ； 百 姓 也 不 可 和 你 一 同 上 來 。

3 M oses came and told the people all Yahweh’s words, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do.”

摩 西 下 山 ， 將 耶 和 華 的 命 令 典 章 都 述 說 與 百 姓 聽 。 眾 百 姓 齊 聲 說 ： 耶 和 華 所 吩 咐 的 ， 我 們 都 必 遵 行 。

4 M oses wrote all Yahweh’s words, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.

摩 西 將 耶 和 華 的 命 令 都 寫 上 。 清 早 起 來 ， 在 山 下 築 一 座 壇 ， 按 以 色 列 十 二 支 派 立 十 二 根 柱 子 ，

5 H e sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of cattle to Yahweh.

又 打 發 以 色 列 人 中 的 少 年 人 去 獻 燔 祭 ， 又 向 耶 和 華 獻 牛 為 平 安 祭 。

6 M oses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

摩 西 將 血 一 半 盛 在 盆 中 ， 一 半 灑 在 壇 上 ；

7 H e took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “All that Yahweh has spoken will we do, and be obedient.”

又 將 約 書 念 給 百 姓 聽 。 他 們 說 ： 耶 和 華 所 吩 咐 的 ， 我 們 都 必 遵 行 。

8 M oses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”

摩 西 將 血 灑 在 百 姓 身 上 ， 說 ： 你 看 ！ 這 是 立 約 的 血 ， 是 耶 和 華 按 這 一 切 話 與 你 們 立 約 的 憑 據 。

9 T hen Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up.

摩 西 、 亞 倫 、 拿 答 、 亞 比 戶 ， 並 以 色 列 長 老 中 的 七 十 人 ， 都 上 了 山 。

10 T hey saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire stone, like the skies for clearness.

他 們 看 見 以 色 列 的 神 ， 他 腳 下 彷 彿 有 平 鋪 的 藍 寶 石 ， 如 同 天 色 明 淨 。

11 H e didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Israel. They saw God, and ate and drank.

他 的 手 不 加 害 在 以 色 列 的 尊 者 身 上 。 他 們 觀 看 神 ； 他 們 又 吃 又 喝 。

12 Y ahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”

耶 和 華 對 摩 西 說 ： 你 上 山 到 我 這 裡 來 ， 住 在 這 裡 ， 我 要 將 石 版 並 我 所 寫 的 律 法 和 誡 命 賜 給 你 ， 使 你 可 以 教 訓 百 姓 。

13 M oses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God’s Mountain.

摩 西 和 他 的 幫 手 約 書 亞 起 來 ， 上 了 神 的 山 。

14 H e said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aaron and Hur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.”

摩 西 對 長 老 說 ： 你 們 在 這 裡 等 著 ， 等 到 我 們 再 回 來 ， 有 亞 倫 、 戶 珥 與 你 們 同 在 。 凡 有 爭 訟 的 ， 都 可 以 就 近 他 們 去 。

15 M oses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

摩 西 上 山 ， 有 雲 彩 把 山 遮 蓋 。

16 Y ahweh’s glory settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moses out of the middle of the cloud.

耶 和 華 的 榮 耀 停 於 西 乃 山 ； 雲 彩 遮 蓋 山 六 天 ， 第 七 天 他 從 雲 中 召 摩 西 。

17 T he appearance of Yahweh’s glory was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

耶 和 華 的 榮 耀 在 山 頂 上 ， 在 以 色 列 人 眼 前 ， 形 狀 如 烈 火 。

18 M oses entered into the middle of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

摩 西 進 入 雲 中 上 山 ， 在 山 上 四 十 晝 夜 。
