1 T o you, Yahweh, do I lift up my soul.

2 M y God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.
O my God, in You I trust, Do not let me be ashamed; Do not let my enemies exult over me.
3 Y es, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.
Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.
4 S how me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths.
Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths.
5 G uide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long.

6 Y ahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for they are from old times.
Remember, O Lord, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses, For they have been from of old.
7 D on’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Remember me according to your loving kindness, for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh.

8 G ood and upright is Yahweh, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.

9 H e will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way.
He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way.
10 A ll the paths of Yahweh are loving kindness and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and truth To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.
11 F or your name’s sake, Yahweh, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

12 W hat man is he who fears Yahweh? He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose.
Who is the man who fears the Lord ? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
13 H is soul shall dwell at ease. His offspring shall inherit the land.
His soul will abide in prosperity, And his descendants will inherit the land.
14 T he friendship of Yahweh is with those who fear him. He will show them his covenant.
The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.
15 M y eyes are ever on Yahweh, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
My eyes are continually toward the Lord, For He will pluck my feet out of the net.
16 T urn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate and afflicted.
Turn to me and be gracious to me, For I am lonely and afflicted.
17 T he troubles of my heart are enlarged. Oh bring me out of my distresses.
