1 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

The Lord spoke again to Moses, saying,

2 Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘The set feasts of Yahweh, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my set feasts.

“Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘ The Lord’s appointed times which you shall proclaim as holy convocations—My appointed times are these:

3 ‘Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no kind of work. It is a Sabbath to Yahweh in all your dwellings.

‘ For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a sabbath to the Lord in all your dwellings.

4 ‘These are the set feasts of Yahweh, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed season.

‘These are the appointed times of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at the times appointed for them.

5 I n the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, is Yahweh’s Passover.

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover.

6 O n the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread to Yahweh. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.

Then on the fifteenth day of the same month there is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.

7 I n the first day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work.

On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.

8 B ut you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh seven days. In the seventh day is a holy convocation: you shall do no regular work.’”

But for seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.’”

9 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

10 Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you have come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest:

“Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land which I am going to give to you and reap its harvest, then you shall bring in the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.

11 a nd he shall wave the sheaf before Yahweh, to be accepted for you. On the next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.

He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord for you to be accepted; on the day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

12 O n the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb without defect a year old for a burnt offering to Yahweh.

Now on the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb one year old without defect for a burnt offering to the Lord.

13 T he meal offering with it shall be two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire to Yahweh for a pleasant aroma; and the drink offering with it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin.

Its grain offering shall then be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering by fire to the Lord for a soothing aroma, with its drink offering, a fourth of a hin of wine.

14 Y ou must not eat bread, or roasted grain, or fresh grain, until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God. This is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Until this same day, until you have brought in the offering of your God, you shall eat neither bread nor roasted grain nor new growth. It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.

15 ‘You shall count from the next day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be completed:

‘ You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering; there shall be seven complete sabbaths.

16 e ven to the next day after the seventh Sabbath you shall number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meal offering to Yahweh.

You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to the Lord.

17 Y ou shall bring out of your habitations two loaves of bread for a wave offering made of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour. They shall be baked with yeast, for first fruits to Yahweh.

You shall bring in from your dwelling places two loaves of bread for a wave offering, made of two-tenths of an ephah; they shall be of a fine flour, baked with leaven as first fruits to the Lord.

18 Y ou shall present with the bread seven lambs without defect a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be a burnt offering to Yahweh, with their meal offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma to Yahweh.

Along with the bread you shall present seven one year old male lambs without defect, and a bull of the herd and two rams; they are to be a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

19 Y ou shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

You shall also offer one male goat for a sin offering and two male lambs one year old for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

20 T he priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before Yahweh, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to Yahweh for the priest.

The priest shall then wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering with two lambs before the Lord; they are to be holy to the Lord for the priest.

21 Y ou shall make proclamation on the same day: there shall be a holy convocation to you; you shall do no regular work. This is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

On this same day you shall make a proclamation as well; you are to have a holy convocation. You shall do no laborious work. It is to be a perpetual statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations.

22 ‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you must not wholly reap into the corners of your field, and you must not gather the gleanings of your harvest. You must leave them for the poor, and for the foreigner. I am Yahweh your God.’”

‘ When you reap the harvest of your land, moreover, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field nor gather the gleaning of your harvest; you are to leave them for the needy and the alien. I am the Lord your God.’”

23 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

24 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest to you, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘ In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

25 Y ou shall do no regular work; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh.’”

You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord.’” The Day of Atonement

26 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

27 However on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

“On exactly the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble your souls and present an offering by fire to the Lord.

28 Y ou shall do no kind of work in that same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before Yahweh your God.

You shall not do any work on this same day, for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement on your behalf before the Lord your God.

29 F or whoever it is who shall not deny himself in that same day; shall be cut off from his people.

If there is any person who will not humble himself on this same day, he shall be cut off from his people.

30 W hoever it is who does any kind of work in that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.

As for any person who does any work on this same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.

31 Y ou shall do no kind of work: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

You shall do no work at all. It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.

32 I t shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall deny yourselves. In the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your Sabbath.”

It is to be a sabbath of complete rest to you, and you shall humble your souls; on the ninth of the month at evening, from evening until evening you shall keep your sabbath.”

33 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

34 Speak to the children of Israel, and say, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of tents for seven days to Yahweh.

“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the Lord.

35 O n the first day shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no regular work.

On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind.

36 S even days you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh. On the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh. It is a solemn assembly; you shall do no regular work.

For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the Lord; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.

37 ‘These are the appointed feasts of Yahweh, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh, a burnt offering, and a meal offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, each on its own day;

‘These are the appointed times of the Lord which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present offerings by fire to the Lord —burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each day’s matter on its own day—

38 b esides the Sabbaths of Yahweh, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give to Yahweh.

besides those of the sabbaths of the Lord, and besides your gifts and besides all your votive and freewill offerings, which you give to the Lord.

39 ‘So on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you shall keep the feast of Yahweh seven days: on the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest.

‘On exactly the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the crops of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of the Lord for seven days, with a rest on the first day and a rest on the eighth day.

40 Y ou shall take on the first day the fruit of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God seven days.

Now on the first day you shall take for yourselves the foliage of beautiful trees, palm branches and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.

41 Y ou shall keep it a feast to Yahweh seven days in the year. It is a statute forever throughout your generations. You shall keep it in the seventh month.

You shall thus celebrate it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

42 Y ou shall dwell in booths seven days. All who are native-born in Israel shall dwell in booths,

You shall live in booths for seven days; all the native-born in Israel shall live in booths,

43 t hat your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.’”

so that your generations may know that I had the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’”

44 M oses declared to the children of Israel the appointed feasts of Yahweh.

So Moses declared to the sons of Israel the appointed times of the Lord.
