1 O o sanduuqii Rabbiguna wuxuu waddankii reer Falastiin yiil toddoba bilood.

And the ark of Jehovah is in the field of the Philistines seven months,

2 M arkaas reer Falastiin waxay u yeedheen wadaaddadii iyo kuwii wax sheegi jiray, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Sanduuqa Rabbiga maxaannu ku samaynaa? Bal noo sheega waxaannu ugu dirno meeshiisii.

and the Philistines call for priests and for diviners, saying, `What do we do to the ark of Jehovah? let us know wherewith we send it to its place?'

3 K olkaasay iyana waxay yidhaahdeen, Haddaad diraysaan sanduuqa Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil, isagoo madhan ha dirina; laakiinse si walba qurbaan xadgudub u celiya; oo dabadeedna waad bogsan doontaan, oo waxaad ogaan doontaan sababta gacantiisu idinkaga dhaqaaqi weyday.

And they say, `If ye are sending away the ark of the God of Israel, ye do not send it away empty; for ye do certainly send back to Him a guilt-offering; then ye are healed, and it hath been known to you why His hand doth not turn aside from you.'

4 O o markaasay yidhaahdeen, Qurbaanka xadgudubka ee aannu u celin doonaa muxuu noqon doonaa? Oo iyana waxay yidhaahdeen, Madaxda reer Falastiin inta tiradoodu tahay oo dhammu ha bixiyeen shan kasoobax oo dahab ah, iyo shan jiir oo dahab ah; waayo, idinka iyo madaxdiinnaba isku belaayaa idinku wada dhacday.

And they say, `What the guilt-offering which we send back to Him?' and they say, `The number of the princes of the Philistines -- five golden emerods, and five golden mice -- for one plague to you all, and to your princes,

5 H addaba sidaas daraaddeed waa inaad samaysaan kasoobaxyadiinnii taswiirtooda, iyo jiirarkii dalkiinna kharribay taswiirtood; oo waa inaad ammaantaan Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil; waayo, waxaa suurtowda inuu gacantiisa idinka qaado, idinka, iyo ilaahyadiinna, iyo dalkiinnaba.

and ye have made images of your emerods, and images of your mice that are corrupting the land, and have given honour to the God of Israel; it may be He doth lighten His hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land;

6 H addaba maxaad qalbiyadiinna ugu adkaynaysaan sidii Masriyiintii iyo Fircoon qalbiyadooda u adkeeyeen oo kale? Oo markii uu cajaa'ibka weyn dhexdooda ku sameeyey, miyaanay dadkii sii dayn inay tagaan oo miyaanay ambabbixin?

and why do ye harden your heart as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their heart? do they not -- when He hath rolled Himself upon them -- send them away, and they go?

7 H addaba sidaas daraaddeed qaata oo diyaariya gaadhi cusub, iyo laba sac oo irmaan ee aan weligood harqood la saarin, oo sacaha gaadhiga ku xidha, weylahoodana ka soo celiya oo guriga keena;

`And now, take and make one new cart, and two suckling kine, on which a yoke hath not gone up, and ye have bound the kine in the cart, and caused their young ones to turn back from after them to the house,

8 m arkaas qaada sanduuqa Rabbiga oo saara gaadhiga, oo dahabka aad ugu celinaysaan qurbaankii xadgudubka aawadiisna intaad sanduuq ku riddaan dhinaciisa saara, oo markaas iska dira ha tagee.

and ye have taken the ark of Jehovah, and put it on the cart, and the vessels of gold which ye have returned to Him -- a guilt-offering -- ye put in a coffer on its side, and have sent it away, and it hath gone;

9 O o bal eega, haddii uu aado xagga xuduudkiisa iyo ilaa Beytshemesh, de markaas isagaa xumaantan weyn inagu sameeyey; haddii kalese waxaannu ogaanaynaa inaanay gacantiisii ahayn waxa ina laayay, ee uu ahaa wax iskaga keen dhacay.

and ye have seen, if the way of its own border it goeth up to Beth-Shemesh -- He hath done to us this great evil; and if not, then we have known that His hand hath not come against us; an accident it hath been to us.'

10 O o dadkiina sidii bay yeeleen, oo waxay soo wateen laba sac oo irmaan, oo waxay ku xidheen gaadhigii, oo weylahoodiina waxay ku xereeyeen guriga;

And the men do so, and take two suckling kine, and bind them in the cart, and their young ones they have shut up in the house;

11 o o sanduuqii Rabbiga iyo sanduuqii ay ku jireen jiirarkii dahabka ahaa iyo taswiirtii kasoobaxyada waxay saareen gaadhigii.

and they place the ark of Jehovah upon the cart, and the coffer, and the golden mice, and the images of their emerods.

12 S acihiina waxay qaadeen jidkii toosnaa oo Beytshemesh, oo waxay tageen xagga jidkii weynaa iyagoo sii bunaaxinaya intii ay sii socdeen, oo midig iyo bidix toona uma ay leexan, oo madaxdii reer Falastiinna way daba socdeen ilaa soohdintii Beytshemesh.

And the kine go straight in the way, on the way to Beth-Shemesh, in one highway they have gone, going and lowing, and have not turned aside right or left; and the princes of the Philistines are going after them unto the border of Beth-Shemesh.

13 O o kuwii reer Beytshemeshna waxay dooxada ka goosanayeen sarreenkoodii; oo intay indhahoodii kor u qaadeen ayay arkeen sanduuqii, oo way ku reyreeyeen inay arkaan.

And the Beth-Shemeshites are reaping their wheat-harvest in the valley, and they lift up their eyes, and see the ark, and rejoice to see.

14 O o gaadhigiina wuxuu soo galay beertii Yashuuca kii reer Beytshemesh, oo wuxuu istaagay meel dhagax weynu ku yiil; oo intay qoryihii gaadhiga jeexjeexeen ayay sacihiina Rabbiga ugu bixiyeen qurbaan la gubo aawadiis.

And the cart hath come in unto the field of Joshua the Beth-Shemeshite, and standeth there, and there a great stone, and they cleave the wood of the cart, and the kine they have caused to ascend -- a burnt-offering to Jehovah.

15 M arkaasay kuwii reer Laawi soo dejiyeen sanduuqii Rabbiga, iyo sanduuqii isaga la jirayba ee alaabta dahabka ahu ku jirtay, oo waxay kor saareen dhagaxii weynaa; oo isla maalintaas ayaa dadkii reer Beytshemesh Rabbiga u bixiyeen qurbaanno la gubo iyo allabaryo.

And the Levites have taken down the ark of Jehovah, and the coffer which with it, in which the vessels of gold, and place on the great stone; and the men of Beth-Shemesh have caused to ascend burnt-offerings and sacrifice sacrifices in that day to Jehovah;

16 O o shantii madaxda ahayd oo reer Falastiinna markay arkeen ayay isla maalintaas Ceqroon ku noqdeen.

and the five princes of the Philistines have seen, and turn back Ekron, on that day.

17 O o kuwanu waa kasoobaxyadii dahabka ahaa ee reer Falastiin Rabbiga ugu celiyeen qurbaan xadgudub aawadiis; Ashdood aawadeed mid baa loo celiyey, Gaasa aawadeedna mid, Ashqeloon aawadeedna mid, Gad aawadeedna mid, Ceqroon aawadeedna mid;

And these the golden emerods which the Philistines have sent back -- a guilt-offering to Jehovah: for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Ashkelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;

18 o o jiirarkii dahabka ahaana waxay tiro le'ekaayeen magaalooyinkii reer Falastiin oo shantii madaxda ahayd lahaayeen oo dhan, oo waa laga wada bixiyey magaalooyinkii deyrka lahaa iyo tuulooyinkii duurka ku yiilba iyo ilaa xataa dhagaxii weynaa ee ay dul saareen sanduuqii Rabbiga, kaasoo xataa ilaa maantadan la joogo dhex yaal beertii Yashuuca kii reer Beytshemesh.

and the golden mice -- the number of all the cities of the Philistines -- for the five princes, from the fenced city even unto the hamlet of the villages, even unto the great meadow on which they placed the ark of Jehovah -- unto this day in the field of Joshua the Beth-Shemeshite.

19 O o isna wuu laayay dadkii Beytshemesh, maxaa yeelay, waxay dhugteen sanduuqii Rabbiga gudihiisa, oo wuxuu dadkii ka laayay konton kun iyo toddobaatan nin, oo dadkiina way baroorteen, maxaa yeelay, Rabbigu wuxuu laayay dad aad u badan.

And He smiteth among the men of Beth-Shemesh, for they looked into the ark of Jehovah, yea, He smiteth among the people seventy men -- fifty chief men; and the people mourn, because Jehovah smote among the people -- a great smiting.

20 M arkaasaa dadkii Beytshemesh waxay yidhaahdeen, Bal yaa awooda inuu hor istaago Rabbiga ah Ilaahan quduuska ah? Oo bal yuu nooga tegayaa?

And the men of Beth-Shemesh say, `Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and unto whom doth He go up from us?'

21 O o waxay wargeeysyo u direen dadkii degganaa Qiryad Yecaariim, oo waxayna ku yidhaahdeen, Reer Falastiin haddana way soo celiyeen sanduuqii Rabbiga, haddaba idinku kaalaya oo qaata.

And they send messengers unto the inhabitants of Kirjath-Jearim, saying, `The Philistines have sent back the ark of Jehovah; come down, take it up unto you.'
