1 K olkii Ciise ogaaday inay Farrisiintu maqleen inuu yeelanayay oo baabtiisayay xer ka badan intii Yooxanaa

When therefore the Lord knew that the Pharisees heard that Jesus more disciples doth make and baptize than John,

2 ( in kastoo Ciise qudhiisu uusan baabtiisin, laakiin xertiisu way baabtiisayeen),

(though indeed Jesus himself was not baptizing, but his disciples,)

3 a yuu Yuhuudiya ka tegey, wuxuuna mar kale u kacay Galili.

he left Judea and went away again to Galilee,

4 O o wuxuu lahaa inuu Samaariya dhex maro.

and it was behoving him to go through Samaria.

5 H addaba wuxuu yimid magaalada Samaariya, oo Sukhar la odhan jiray, oo ku dhowayd dalkii Yacquub siiyey wiilkiisii Yuusuf.

He cometh, therefore, to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near to the place that Jacob gave to Joseph his son;

6 W axaana meeshaas jiray ceelkii Yacquub. Haddaba Ciise oo sodcaal ku soo daalay, wuxuu fadhiistay ceelka agtiisa. Saacaddiina waxay ku qiyaasnayd lixda.

and there was there a well of Jacob. Jesus therefore having been weary from the journeying, was sitting thus on the well; it was as it were the sixth hour;

7 M arkaasaa waxaa timid naag reer Samaariya ah inay biyo dhaansato. Kolkaasaa Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi iyada, I waraabi.

there cometh a woman out of Samaria to draw water. Jesus saith to her, `Give me to drink;'

8 M axaa yeelay, xertiisii magaaladay ku maqnaayeen inay cunto soo iibsadaan.

for his disciples were gone away to the city, that they may buy victuals;

9 N aagtii reer Samaariya ahayd waxay haddaba ku tidhi isaga, Sidee baad, adigoo Yuhuudi ah, biyo ii weyddiisanaysaa, anigoo naag reer Samaariya ah? (Waayo, dan iskuma leh Yuhuudda iyo reer Samaariya.)

the Samaritan woman therefore saith to him, `How dost thou, being a Jew, ask drink from me, being a Samaritan woman?' for Jews have no dealing with Samaritans.

10 C iise waa u jawaabay oo ku yidhi iyada, Haddaad garanaysid hadiyaddii Ilaah iyo kuu yahay kan kugu leh, I waraabi, adigu waad weyddiisan lahayd isaga, oo wuxuu ku siin lahaa biyaha nool.

Jesus answered and said to her, `If thou hadst known the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldest have asked him, and he would have given thee living water.'

11 N aagtii waxay ku tidhi, Sayidow, waxaad biyo ku dhaansato ma haysatid, ceelkuna wuu dheer yahay. Haddaba xaggee baad ka helaysaa biyaha nool?

The woman saith to him, `Sir, thou hast not even a vessel to draw with, and the well is deep; whence, then, hast thou the living water?

12 M iyaad ka weyn tahay awowahayagii Yacquub oo ceelka na siiyey oo isaga qudhiisu ka cabbay iyo wiilashiisii iyo xoolihiisuba?

Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who did give us the well, and himself out of it did drink, and his sons, and his cattle?'

13 C iise ayaa u jawaabay oo ku yidhi iyada, Kii kasta oo biyahan ka cabbaa, mar kale wuu harraadi doonaa,

Jesus answered and said to her, `Every one who is drinking of this water shall thirst again;

14 l aakiin ku alla kii ka cabba biyahaan siin doono, weligiis ma harraadi doono, laakiin biyahaan siin doono waxay gudihiisa ku noqon doonaan il biyo ka duulayaan tan iyo nolosha weligeed ah.

but whoever may drink of the water that I will give him, may not thirst -- to the age; and the water that I will give him shall become in him a well of water, springing up to life age-during.'

15 N aagtii waxay ku tidhi, Sayidow, biyahan i sii inaanan haddana harraadin oo aanan halkan iman inaan ka dhaansado.

The woman saith unto him, `Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come hither to draw.'

16 M arkaasaa Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Tag oo ninkaagii u soo yeedh, oo halkan kaalay.

Jesus saith to her, `Go, call thy husband, and come hither;'

17 N aagtii ayaa u jawaabtay oo ku tidhi, Nin ma lihi. Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Run baad ku hadashay, Nin ma lihi.

the woman answered and said, `I have not a husband.' Jesus saith to her, `Well didst thou say -- A husband I have not;

18 W aayo, shan nin baad lahayd, kan aad haddeer haysatidna ninkaagii ma aha. Taas run baad ku sheegtay.

for five husbands thou hast had, and, now, he whom thou hast is not thy husband; this hast thou said truly.'

19 N aagtii waxay ku tidhi, Sayidow, waan gartay inaad nebi tahay.

The woman saith to him, `Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet;

20 A wowayaashayo buurtan ayay ku caabudi jireen, idinkuse waxaad tidhaahdaan, Yeruusaalem waa meeshii la leeyahay in lagu caabudo.

our fathers in this mountain did worship, and ye -- ye say that in Jerusalem is the place where it behoveth to worship.'

21 M arkaasaa Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Naag yahay, i rumee, saacaddu waa imanaysaa markii aydnaan Aabbaha ku caabudi doonin ama buurtan ama Yeruusaalem midnaba.

Jesus saith to her, `Woman, believe me, that there doth come an hour, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father;

22 I dinku waxaad caabuddaan waxaydnaan oqoon, annaguse waxaannu caabudnaa waxaannu naqaan, waayo, badbaadintu waxay ka timaadaa Yuhuudda.

ye worship what ye have not known; we worship what we have known, because the salvation is of the Jews;

23 L aakiin saacaddii baa imanaysa, waana joogtaa imminkada, markii caabudayaasha runta ihi ay Aabbaha ku caabudi doonaan ruuxa iyo runta, waayo, Aabbuhu wuxuu doonayaa caabudayaashaas oo kale.

but, there cometh an hour, and it now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also doth seek such to worship him;

24 I laah waa Ruux, kuwa caabudaa isagana waa inay ku caabudaan ruuxa iyo runta.

God a Spirit, and those worshipping Him, in spirit and truth it doth behove to worship.'

25 N aagtii waxay ku tidhi, Waa ogahay Masiixu inuu imanayo (kan Kiristoos la yidhaahdo); oo markuu yimaado, wax walba ayuu noo sheegi doonaa.

The woman saith to him, `I have known that Messiah doth come, who is called Christ, when that one may come, he will tell us all things;'

26 M arkaasaa Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Anigoo kula hadlaya ayaa ah isaga.

Jesus saith to her, `I am, who am speaking to thee.'

27 I sla markii waxaa timid xertiisii, wayna la yaabeen markay arkeen inuu naag la hadlayo. Weliba ninna ma odhan, Maxaad doonaysaa? amase, Maxaad ula hadlaysaa iyada?

And upon this came his disciples, and were wondering that with a woman he was speaking, no one, however, said, `What seekest thou?' or `Why speakest thou with her?'

28 S idaa aawadeed naagtii ayaa ashuunkeedii ka tagtay, oo magaaladay u baxday, oo waxay ku tidhi dadkii,

The woman then left her water-jug, and went away to the city, and saith to the men,

29 K aalaya oo arka ninkii ii sheegay wax walba oo aan sameeyey. Miyaanu kani ahayn Masiixa?

`Come, see a man, who told me all things -- as many as I did; is this the Christ?'

30 M arkaasay magaaladii ka soo baxeen, wayna u imanayeen isagii.

They went forth therefore out of the city, and were coming unto him.

31 K olkaasay xertiisii baryeen iyagoo leh, Macallimow, wax cun.

And in the meanwhile his disciples were asking him, saying, `Rabbi, eat;'

32 L aakiin wuxuu iyagii ku yidhi, Anigu waxaan haystaa cunto aan cuno oo aydnaan ogayn.

and he said to them, `I have food to eat that ye have not known.'

33 H addaba xertiisii waxay isku yidhaahdeen, Ma loo keenay wuxuu cuno?

The disciples then said one to another, `Did any one bring him anything to eat?'

34 C iise wuxuu ku yidhi, Cuntadaydu waa inaan sameeyo doonistii kii i soo diray oo aan shuqulkiisa dhammeeyo.

Jesus saith to them, `My food is, that I may do the will of Him who sent me, and may finish His work;

35 M iyaydnaan odhanin, Waxaa weli hadhay afar bilood oo markaas ayaa beerta la gooynayaa? Bal eega, waxaan idin leeyahay, Indhihiinna kor u qaada oo daya beeraha inay u cad yihiin beergooyska.

do not say that it is yet four months, and the harvest cometh; lo, I say to you, Lift up your eyes, and see the fields, that they are white unto harvest already.

36 K ii gooyaa mushahaaruu helaa, wuxuuna midho u ururiyaa nolosha weligeed ah, inay kii beera iyo kii gooyaaba isla farxaan.

`And he who is reaping doth receive a reward, and doth gather fruit to life age-during, that both he who is sowing and he who is reaping may rejoice together;

37 H adalku waa ku run kan, Mid baa beera, mid kalena waa gooyaa.

for in this the saying is the true one, that one is the sower and another the reaper.

38 W axaan idiin diray inaad gooysaan wixii aydnaan ku hawshoon. Kuwa kale baa hawshooday, hawshoodiina waad gasheen.

I sent you to reap that on which ye have not laboured; others laboured, and ye into their labour have entered.

39 W axaa magaaladaas ka rumaystay isaga dad badan oo reer Samaariya ah, hadalkii naagta aawadiis, markay marag furtay oo tidhi, Wuxuu ii sheegay wax walba oo aan sameeyey.

And from that city many believed in him, of the Samaritans, because of the word of the woman testifying, -- `He told me all things -- as many as I did.'

40 S idaa darteed markii dadka reer Samaariya ah u yimaadeen isaga, way baryeen inuu la joogo, wuxuuna halkaas joogay laba maalmood.

When, then, the Samaritans came unto him, they were asking him to remain with them, and he remained there two days;

41 M arkaasaa kuwo kale oo badani rumaysteen hadalkiisii aawadiis,

and many more did believe because of his word,

42 o o waxay naagtii ku yidhaahdeen, Imminka waxaannu u rumaysanaynaa ma aha hadalkaaga aawadiis, maxaa yeelay, qudhayadu waannu maqalnay, waannuna naqaan kanu inuu runtii yahay Badbaadiyaha dunida. Ciise Wuxuu Bogsiiyey Sirkaalkii Wiilkiisii

and said to the woman -- `No more because of thy speaking do we believe; for we ourselves have heard and known that this is truly the Saviour of the world -- the Christ.'

43 L abadaas maalmood dabadeed meeshaas ayuu ka tegey oo Galili aaday.

And after the two days he went forth thence, and went away to Galilee,

44 O o Ciise ayaa ka marag kacay inaan nebi waddankiis murwad ku lahayn.

for Jesus himself testified that a prophet in his own country shall not have honour;

45 H addaba markuu Galili yimid, dadkii Galili way soo dhoweeyeen, iyagoo arkay wuxuu ku sameeyey Yeruusaalem oo dhan wakhtigii iidda, waayo, iyaguna iiddii way tageen.

when then, he came to Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all things that he did in Jerusalem in the feast -- for they also went to the feast.

46 H addaba mar kale ayuu yimid Kaana tii Galili oo ahayd meeshuu biyihii khamriga kaga dhigay. Meeshaasna waxaa joogay sirkaal wiilkiisii ku bukay Kafarna'um.

Jesus came, therefore, again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine, and there was a certain courtier, whose son was ailing in Capernaum,

47 I sagu markuu maqlay inuu Ciise Yahuudiya ka yimid oo Galili gaadhay, ayuu u tegey oo ka baryay inuu u yimaado oo wiilkiisa bogsiiyo, waayo, dhimashuu u dhowaa.

he, having heard that Jesus is come out of Judea to Galilee, went away unto him, and was asking him that he may come down and may heal his son, for he was about to die.

48 H addaba Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Haddaanad calaamooyin iyo yaabab arkin, marnaba ma rumaysan doontaan.

Jesus then said unto him, `If signs and wonders ye may not see, ye will not believe.'

49 S irkaalkii wuxuu ku yidhi, Sayidow, kaalay intaan wiilkaygu dhiman.

The courtier saith unto him, `Sir, come down before my child die;'

50 C iise wuxuu ku yidhi, Soco, wiilkaagii waa nool yahay. Markaasaa ninkii rumaystay hadalkii Ciise ku yidhi, wuuna socday.

Jesus saith to him, `Be going on; thy son doth live.' And the man believed the word that Jesus said to him, and was going on,

51 I ntuu socday ayaa addoommadiisii ka hor yimaadeen, iyagoo leh, Wiilkaagii waa nool yahay.

and he now going down, his servants met him, and told, saying -- `Thy child doth live;'

52 M arkaasuu wuxuu iyagii weyddiiyey saacadduu ladnaaday. Waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Shalayto saacaddii toddobaad ayaa qandhadii daysay.

he inquired then of them the hour in which he became better, and they said to him -- `Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him;'

53 M arkaasaa aabbuhu gartay inay saacaddaas ahayd saacaddii Ciise ku yidhi, Wiilkaagii waa nool yahay. Markaasaa isagii qudhiisu rumaystay iyo kuwii gurigiisii joogay oo dhan.

then the father knew that in that hour in which Jesus said to him -- `Thy son doth live,' and he himself believed, and his whole house;

54 H addaba tanu waa calaamadii labaad oo Ciise sameeyey markuu Yahuudiya ka tegey oo Galili yimid.

this again a second sign did Jesus, having come out of Judea to Galilee.
