1 K remtoni Zotin, sepse ai është i mirë, sepse mirësia e tij vazhdon përjetë.

O give thanks unto Jehovah; For he is good; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever.

2 K ështu thonë të shpenguarit prej Zotit që ai i ka çliruar nga dora e kundërshtarit,

Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary,

3 d he që ka mbledhur nga vende të ndryshme, nga lindja dhe perëndimi, nga veriu dhe nga jugu.

And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.

4 A ta endeshin nëpër shkretëtirë, në vënde të shkretuara, dhe nuk gjenin asnjë qytet ku të banonin.

They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; They found no city of habitation.

5 T ë uritur e të etur, jeta e tyre po ligështohej.

Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them.

6 P or në fatkeqësitë e tyre ata i thirrën Zotit dhe ai i çliroi nga ankthet e tyre;

Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses,

7 d he i çoi në rrugën e drejtë, me qëllim që të arrinin në një qytet ku të banonin.

He led them also by a straight way, That they might go to a city of habitation.

8 L e të kremtojmë Zotin për mirësinë e tij dhe për mrekullitë e tij në dobi të bijve të njerëzve.

Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

9 S epse ai ka ngopur shpirtin e etur dhe e ka mbushur me të mira shpirtin e uritur.

For he satisfieth the longing soul, And the hungry soul he filleth with good.

10 T ë tjerë rrinin në terr dhe në hijen e vdekjes, robër të pikëlluar dhe në zinxhira,

Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron,

11 s epse ishin rebeluar kundër fjalëve të Perëndisë dhe i kishin përçmuar këshillat e Shumë të Lartit;

Because they rebelled against the words of God, And contemned the counsel of the Most High:

12 p randaj ai rrëzoi zemrën e tyre me shqetësime; ata ranë poshtë dhe asnjeri nuk u vajti në ndihmë.

Therefore he brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help.

13 P or në fatkeqësinë e tyre ata i thirrën Zotit, dhe ai i shpëtoi nga ankthet e tyre,

Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses.

14 i nxori nga terri dhe nga hija e vdekjes dhe i këputi lidhjet e tyre.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bonds in sunder.

15 L e të kremtojmë Zotin për mirësinë e tij dhe për mrekullitë e tij në dobi të bijve të njerëzve,

Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

16 s epse ai ka shembur portat prej bronzi dhe ka këputur shufrat prej hekuri.

For he hath broken the gates of brass, And cut the bars of iron in sunder.

17 D isa njerëz pa mend vuanin për sjelljen e tyre rebele dhe për mëkatet e tyre;

Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

18 a ta urrenin çdo ushqim dhe kishin arritur në prag të vdekjes,

Their soul abhorreth all manner of food; And they draw near unto the gates of death.

19 p or në fatkeqësinë e tyre i thirrën Zotit, dhe ai i shpëtoi nga ankthet e tyre.

Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saveth them out of their distresses.

20 A i dërgoi fjalën e tij dhe i shëroi, i shpëtoi nga gropa.

He sendeth his word, and healeth them, And delivereth them from their destructions.

21 L e ta kremtojmë Zotin për mirësinë e tij dhe për mrekullitë e tij në dobi të bijve të njerëzve;

Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

22 l e të ofrojnë flijime lëvdimi dhe le të tregojnë veprat e tij me këngë gëzimi.

And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with singing.

23 A ta që zbresin në det me anije dhe që bëjnë tregëti mbi ujërat e mëdha,

They that go down to the sea in ships, That do business in great waters;

24 s hohin veprat e Zotit dhe mrekullitë e tij në humnerat e detit.

These see the works of Jehovah, And his wonders in the deep.

25 S epse ai urdhëron dhe shkakton një erë furtune, që i ngre përpjetë valët e detit.

For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, Which lifteth up the waves thereof.

26 A ta ngjiten deri në qiell dhe bien në humnera; shpirti i tyre ligështohet nga ankthi.

They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths: Their soul melteth away because of trouble.

27 A tyre u merren këmbët dhe lëkunden si të dehur, dhe nuk dinë më ç’të bëjnë.

They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits' end.

28 P or në fatkeqësitë e tyre i këlthasin Zotit, dhe ai i shpëton nga ankthet e tyre.

Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he bringeth them out of their distresses.

29 A i e fashit furtunën në një murmurim dhe valët e saj pushojnë.

He maketh the storm a calm, So that the waves thereof are still.

30 K ur ato qetësohen, ata gëzohen, dhe ai i çon në portin e dëshiruar prej tyre.

Then are they glad because they are quiet; So he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

31 L e të kremtojmë Zotin për mirësinë e tij dhe për mrekullitë që bën në dobi të bijve të njerëzve;

Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

32 l e ta lëvdojnë në kuvendin e popullit dhe le ta lavdojnë në këshillin e pleqve.

Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, And praise him in the seat of the elders.

33 A i i shndërroni lumenjtë në shkretëtirë dhe burimet e ujit në vende të thata;

He turneth rivers into a wilderness, And watersprings into a thirsty ground;

34 t okën pjellore në vend të thatë për shkak të sjelljes së keqe të banorëve të saj.

A fruitful land into a salt desert, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

35 A i e shndërron shkretëtirën në liqen dhe tokën e thatë në burime uji.

He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, And a dry land into watersprings.

36 A tje ai strehon të uriturit, dhe këta ndërtojnë një qytet për të banuar,

And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, That they may prepare a city of habitation,

37 m bjellin arat dhe kultivojnë vreshta që prodhojnë një korrje të bollshme.

And sow fields, and plant vineyards, And get them fruits of increase.

38 A i i bekon dhe ata shumëzohen fort, dhe ai nuk e pakëson bagëtinë e tyre.

He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; And he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

39 P or pastaj pakësohen në një numër të vogël dhe dobësohen për shkak të shtypjes, të fatkeqësisë dhe të ankthit.

Again, they are diminished and bowed down Through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.

40 A i hedh përbuzjen mbi princat dhe i bën që të enden nëpër vende të shkreta, ku nuk ekziston asnjë rrugë.

He poureth contempt upon princes, And causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.

41 P or e ngre nevojtarin nga varfëria dhe i shton familjet e tyre si një kope.

Yet setteth he the needy on high from affliction, And maketh him families like a flock.

42 N jerëzit e drejtë e shohin këtë dhe kënaqen, por tërë njerëzit e këqij e mbajnë gojën të mbyllur.

The upright shall see it, and be glad; And all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

43 A i që është i urtë le t’i këqyrë këto gjëra dhe le të çmojë mirësinë e Zotit.
