1 O Lord, You showed favor to Your land. You have returned those of Jacob who were taken away.

¶ LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land; thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 Y ou have forgiven the sins of Your people. You have covered all their sin.

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3 Y ou have taken away all Your anger. You have turned away from Your burning anger.

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath; thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

4 O God Who saves us, give us life again. Make Your anger toward us stop.

Turn us, O God our saving health and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

5 W ill You be angry with us forever? Will You spread out Your anger to families of all times?

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou extend thine anger from generation to generation?

6 W ill You not bring us back to life again so that Your people may be happy in You?

Wilt thou not give us life again that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 S how us Your loving-kindness, O Lord, and save us.

Show us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy saving health.

8 I will listen to what God the Lord will say. For He will speak peace to His people, to those who are right with Him. But do not let them turn again to foolish things.

¶ I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace unto his people and to his saints, that they not turn again to folly.

9 F or sure His saving power is near those who fear Him, so His shining-greatness may live in the land.

Surely his saving health is near those that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

10 L oving-kindness and truth have met together. Peace and what is right and good have kissed each other.

Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 T ruth comes up from the earth. And what is right and good looks down from heaven.

Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from the heavens.

12 Y es, the Lord will give what is good. And our land will give its fruit.

The LORD shall give that which is good, and our land shall bring forth her fruit.

13 W hat is right and good will go before Him and make a way for His steps.

Righteousness shall go before him and shall set his steps in the way.
