1 T he Lord said to Moses,
¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
2 “ Say to the people of Israel, ‘When you go into the land where you are to live, which I am giving you,
Speak unto the sons of Israel and say unto them, When you have entered into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you
3 t hen give a gift in worship by fire to the Lord. Give a gift from the herd or the flock, a burnt gift, or a gift to keep a special promise, or a free-will gift, or one during special suppers. This will be to make a pleasing smell to the Lord.
and will make an offering on fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to offer a vow or of your free will or to make in your solemn feasts an acceptable savour unto the LORD, of the cows, or of the sheep,
4 T he one who brings his gift will bring to the Lord a grain gift of one-tenth part of a basket of fine flour mixed with one-fourth part of a large jar of oil.
then he that offers his offering unto the LORD shall bring a present of a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of a hin of oil;
5 A nd make ready one-fourth part of a large jar of wine to pour over the burnt gift or for each lamb given on the altar in worship.
and of wine for a drink offering shalt thou offer the fourth part of a hin in addition to the burnt offering or the sacrifice, for each lamb.
6 O r for a ram, make ready a grain gift of two-tenths part of a basket of fine flour mixed with one-third part of a large jar of oil.
And for each ram, thou shalt prepare as a present two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third part of a hin of oil;
7 T hen make one-third part of a large jar of wine for the drink gift, a pleasing smell to the Lord.
and of wine for a drink offering thou shalt offer the third part of a hin, for an acceptable savour unto the LORD.
8 Y ou may make ready a bull for a burnt gift or give an animal on the altar in worship, to keep a special promise, or give peace gifts to the Lord.
And when thou preparest a bullock for a burnt offering or for a sacrifice, to offer a vow or a sacrifice of peace unto the LORD,
9 W ith the bull bring a grain gift of three-tenths part of a basket of fine flour mixed with half a large jar of oil.
thou shalt offer with the bullock a present of three tenth deals of flour mingled with half of a hin of oil;
10 B ring for the drink gift half a large jar of wine, as a gift by fire, a pleasing smell to the Lord.
and of wine for a drink offering thou shalt offer half of a hin, for an offering on fire, of an acceptable savour unto the LORD.
11 ‘ It must be done this way for each bull, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs or young goats.
Thus shall it be done for each bullock or for each ram or for each lamb, the same for sheep as for goats.
12 W hatever number you make ready, you must do for everyone.
According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to each one according to their number.
13 A ll who are born in the land must do these things in this way by giving a gift by fire, a pleasing smell to the Lord.
All that are natural born shall do these things after this manner, to offer an offering on fire, of an acceptable savour unto the LORD.
14 A stranger staying with you, or a man living among your people, may want to give a gift by fire, a pleasing smell to the Lord. Then he must do just as you do.
And when a stranger sojourns with you or whoever is among you, for your ages, if they will offer an offering on fire of an acceptable savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall do.
15 T here will be one Law for you and for the stranger who stays with you. It will be a Law forever for all your children-to-come. As you are, so will the stranger be before the Lord.
One statute shall be both for you of the congregation and also for the stranger that sojourns with you, a perpetual statute, for your ages; as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.
16 O ne Law will be for you and for the stranger who stays with you.’”
One same law and the same right shall be for you and for the stranger that sojourns with you.
17 T hen the Lord said to Moses,
The LORD also spoke unto Moses, saying,
18 “ Say to the people of Israel, ‘When you come into the land where I bring you
Speak unto the sons of Israel and say unto them, When ye have come into the land where I bring you,
19 a nd when you eat of the food of the land, you must lift up a gift in worship to the Lord.
then it shall be that when ye begin to eat of the bread of the land, ye shall offer up an offering unto the LORD.
20 G ive a loaf of bread as a gift from the first of your grain. Give it as the gift of the grain-floor.
Ye shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for an offering; as the offering of the threshingfloor, so shall ye offer it.
21 F rom the first of your grain you and all your children-to-come must give a gift to the Lord.
Of the firstfruits of your dough ye shall give unto the LORD an offering in your generations.
22 ‘ Without knowing it you might not obey all these Laws which the Lord has spoken to Moses,
¶ And when ye err and do not observe all these commandments which the LORD has spoken unto Moses,
23 e ven all that the Lord has told you to do through Moses, from the day when the Lord told you and through all your children-to-come.
even all that the LORD has commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses and from then on, for your ages,
24 I f this is done without the people knowing it, then all the people must give one bull for a burnt gift. It will be a pleasing smell to the Lord. It must be brought with its grain gift and its drink gift, by the Law, and with one male goat for a sin gift.
then it shall be, if the sin was committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock as a burnt offering, for an acceptable savour unto the LORD with its present and its drink offering, according to the law, and one he goat as the sin.
25 T hen the religious leader will pay for the sins of all the people of Israel, and they will be forgiven. Because it was a mistake, they brought their gift, a gift by fire to the Lord, and their sin gift to the Lord, for their mistake.
And the priest shall reconcile all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them, for it is ignorance; and they shall bring their offering, an offering on fire unto the LORD and their sins before the LORD which they committed in their ignorance.
26 S o all the people of Israel and the stranger who stays among them will be forgiven. For it happened to all the people by mistake.
And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the sons of Israel and the stranger that sojourns among them, seeing all the people were in ignorance.
27 ‘ If one person sins without knowing it, he must bring a one year old female goat for a sin gift.
And if any person sins through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year as the sin.
28 A nd the religious leader before the Lord will pay for the sin of the person who sins without knowing it. He will pay for his sin so he may be forgiven.
And the priest shall reconcile the soul that errs ignorantly, when he sins by ignorance before the LORD, he shall be reconciled; and it shall be forgiven him.
29 Y ou will have one Law for him who does anything without knowing it, for him who is one of the people of Israel and for the stranger who lives among them.
Ye shall have the same law for the one that sins through ignorance, both for the natural born among the sons of Israel and for the stranger that sojourns among them.
30 B ut if a person born in the land or a stranger does anything wrong and means to do it, he is speaking against the Lord. That person must be cut off from among his people.
¶ But the person that does something consciously, whether they are natural born or a stranger, the same reproaches the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
31 B ecause he has hated the Word of the Lord and has broken His Law, that person must be cut off for sure. His guilt will be on him.’” Punishment for Those Who Worked on the Day of Rest
Because he has despised the word of the LORD and has made void his commandment, that person shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
32 W hile the people of Israel were in the desert, they found a man gathering wood on the Day of Rest.
And while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered firewood upon the sabbath day.
33 T hose who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the people.
And those that found him gathering firewood brought him unto Moses and Aaron and unto all the congregation.
34 T hey put him in chains, because they did not know what should be done to him for gathering wood on the Day of Rest.
And they put him in ward because it was not declared what should be done to him.
35 T hen the Lord said to Moses: “The man must be put to death. All the people must kill him with stones away from the tents.”
And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.
36 S o all the people took him away from the tents and killed him with stones, just as the Lord had told Moses.
Then all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died, as the LORD commanded Moses.
37 T he Lord said to Moses,
¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
38 “ Speak to the people of Israel. Tell them that they and all their children-to-come are to make tassels for themselves on the corners of their clothing. And they are to put a blue rope on the tassel of each corner.
Speak unto the sons of Israel and bid them that they make for themselves fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue.
39 I t will be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the Laws of the Lord, and to do them. Do not follow your own heart and your own eyes, as you did when you acted like a woman selling the use of her body.
And it shall be unto you for a fringe that ye may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the LORD and do them and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, seeking after which ye fornicate.
40 I t will be so that you may remember to obey all My Laws, and be holy to your God.
That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
41 I am the Lord your God Who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord your God.”
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. I AM your God.
