1 O Lord, our Lord, how great is Your name in all the earth. You have set Your shining-greatness above the heavens.
¶ O LORD our Lord, how great is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy praise above the heavens.
2 O ut of the mouth of children and babies, You have built up strength because of those who hate You, and to quiet those who fight against You.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou might still the enemy and the avenger.
3 W hen I look up and think about Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in their place,
¶ When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 w hat is man, that You think of him, the son of man that You care for him?
what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou dost visit him?
5 Y ou made him a little less than the angels and gave him a crown of greatness and honor.
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels and hast crowned him with glory and beauty.
6 Y ou made him to rule over the works of Your hands. You put all things under his feet:
Thou hast made him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
7 A ll sheep and cattle, all the wild animals,
all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
8 t he birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, and all that pass through the sea.
The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
9 O Lord, our Lord, how great is Your name in all the earth!
O LORD our Lord, how great is thy name in all the earth!
