1 “ Make the meeting tent with ten curtains of fine linen, blue and purple and red. Make them with cherubim sewed into them by an able workman.
¶ Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet; with cherubim of cunning work shalt thou make them.
2 E ach curtain will be as long as fourteen long steps, and as wide as two long steps, all of them the same.
The length of one curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits; and all the curtains shall have one measure.
3 F ive curtains will be joined to one another. And the other five curtains will be joined to one another.
The five curtains shall be coupled together one to another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled one to another.
4 T ake small pieces of blue cloth, longer than they are wide. Sew both ends to the side of the last curtain in the first group. Then do the same on the side of the last curtain in the second group.
And thou shalt make loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain from the border in the coupling; and likewise shalt thou make in the uttermost edge of another curtain in the coupling of the second.
5 P ut fifty of these pieces on the one curtain. And put fifty on the side of the other curtain, so that the pieces meet each other.
Fifty loops shalt thou make in the one curtain, and fifty loops shalt thou make in the border of the curtain that is in the second coupling; that the loops may take hold one of another.
6 M ake fifty hooks of gold and join the curtains together with the hooks so the meeting tent will be as one.
And thou shalt make fifty hooks of gold and couple the curtains together with the hooks; and it shall be one tabernacle.
7 “ Make curtains of goat hair for a covering over the meeting tent. Make eleven curtains in all.
¶ Likewise thou shalt make curtains of goats’ hair to be a covering over the tabernacle; eleven curtains shalt thou make.
8 E ach curtain will be as long as fifteen long steps, and as wide as two long steps, all of them the same.
The length of one curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits; and the eleven curtains shall be all of one measure.
9 J oin five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves. Lay the sixth curtain over the front of the meeting tent twice.
And thou shalt couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shalt double the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tabernacle.
10 T ake fifty small pieces of cloth, longer than they are wide. Sew both ends of each to the side of the last curtain in the first group. Then sew fifty pieces onto the side of the last curtain in the second group.
And thou shalt make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain from the border in the coupling and fifty loops in the edge of the curtain which couples the second.
11 M ake fifty hooks of brass. Put the hooks through the sewed pieces of cloth and join the tent together as one.
And thou shalt make fifty hooks of brass and put the hooks into the loops and couple the tent together that it may be one.
12 T he part that is left of the tent’s curtains, the half curtain, will lie over the back of the meeting tent.
And the remnant that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the backside of the tabernacle.
13 T here will be parts of the tent’s curtains left over on each side, about a cubit. These will hang over each side of the meeting tent to cover it.
And a cubit on the one side and a cubit on the other side of that which remains in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.
14 M ake a covering for the tent of rams’ skins made red, and a covering over that of badgers’ skins.
And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red and a covering above of badgers’ skins.
15 “ Then make the standing pieces of wood for the meeting tent out of acacia wood.
¶ And thou shalt make boards for the tabernacle of cedar wood standing up.
16 E ach piece of wood will be as long as five long steps, and as wide as one step.
Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one board.
17 M ake two joint-pieces in each piece of wood for joining them together. Do this for all the pieces of wood of the meeting tent.
Two tenons shall there be in one board, set in order one against another; thus shalt thou make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
18 S et up twenty pieces of wood for the south side of the meeting tent.
And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards on the side of the Negev to the south.
19 M ake forty silver bases under the twenty pieces of wood, with two holes in each one for joining the two joint-pieces on each piece of wood.
And thou shalt make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards, two sockets under one board for its two tenons and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.
20 C ut twenty pieces of wood for the north side of the meeting tent.
And for the second side of the tabernacle on the side of the Aquilon, there shall be twenty boards
21 A nd make forty silver bases, two under each piece of wood.
and their forty sockets of silver: two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board.
22 T hen cut six pieces of wood for the back or west side of the meeting tent.
And for the sides of the tabernacle westward, thou shalt make six boards.
23 C ut two pieces of wood for the back corners.
And two boards shalt thou make for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides,
24 T hey will be apart at the bottom, and joined at the top with one ring. They will both be made the same and will make the two corners.
and they shall be coupled together beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring; thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.
25 T here will be eight special pieces of wood and their silver bases with sixteen holes, two holes under each piece of wood.
Thus they shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets: two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board.
26 “ Then make cross-pieces of acacia wood, five for the pieces of wood on one side of the meeting tent,
And thou shalt make five bars of cedar wood for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
27 a nd five for the pieces of wood on the other side of the meeting tent. Then make five for the pieces of wood at the back of the meeting tent to the west side.
five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the two sides westward.
28 T he long, cross-piece for the center of the standing pieces of wood will go through from end to end.
And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall reach from end to end.
29 C over the standing pieces of wood with gold. Make rings of gold to hold the cross-pieces and cover these pieces with gold.
And thou shalt cover the boards with gold and make their rings of gold for places for the bars, and thou shalt also cover the bars with gold.
30 B uild the meeting tent by following the plan for it that was shown to you on the mountain.
And thou shalt raise up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was showed thee in the mount.
31 “ Make a curtain of blue and purple and red cloth and fine linen. It will be made with cherubim sewed into it by an able workman.
¶ And thou shalt also make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work; with cherubim shall it be made;
32 H ang it on four strong pillars of acacia wood covered with gold. Their hooks will be made of gold also. And the pillars will stand on four silver bases.
and thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of cedar covered with gold; their capitals shall be of gold upon four sockets of silver.
33 H ang the top of the curtain from the hooks. Then bring the box of the Law within the curtain. This curtain will divide the holy place from the Holiest Place of All.
And thou shalt hang up the veil under the hooks, and thou shalt bring in there, inside the veil, the ark of the testimony; and that veil shall separate for you between the holy place and the holy of holies.
34 P ut the mercy-seat on the box of the Law in the Holiest Place of All.
And thou shalt put the seat of reconciliation upon the ark of the testimony in the holy of holies.
35 S et the table outside the curtain. Put the lamp-stand on the south side of the meeting tent. And put the table on the north side.
And thou shalt set the table outside the veil, the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the Negev (south desert), and thou shalt put the table on the side of the Aquilon (north wind).
36 “ Make another curtain of fine linen for the door of the tent. It will be made of blue and purple and red cloth by an able workman.
And thou shalt make a hanging for the door of the tabernacle of blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen wrought with needlework.
37 H ang it on five pillars of acacia wood covered with gold. Make their hooks of gold. And make five brass bases for them.
And thou shalt make for the hanging five pillars of cedar and cover them with gold, and their capitals shall be of gold, and thou shalt cast five sockets of brass for them.
