1 P orque he aquí, viene el día ardiente como un horno; y todos los soberbios, y todos los que hacen maldad, serán estopa; y aquel día que vendrá, los abrasará, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, el cual no les dejará ni raíz ni rama.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

2 M as a vosotros los que teméis mi Nombre, nacerá el Sol de justicia, y en sus alas traerá salud; y saldréis, y saltaréis como becerros de la manada.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

3 Y hollaréis a los malos, los cuales serán ceniza bajo las plantas de vuestros pies, en el día que yo hago, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

4 A cordaos de la ley de Moisés mi siervo, al cual encargué en Horeb; ordenanzas y derechos míos sobre todo Israel.

Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

5 H e aquí, yo os envío a Elías el profeta, antes que venga el día del SEÑOR, grande y terrible.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

6 E l convertirá el corazón de los padres a los hijos, y el corazón de los hijos a los padres; para que yo no venga, y hiera con destrucción la tierra.

and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
