1 N ow it came about on the eighth day that Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;

وَفِي اليَومِ الثّامِنِ، دَعا مُوسَى هارُونَ وَأبناءَهُ وَشُيُوخَ إسْرائِيلَ،

2 a nd he said to Aaron, “ Take for yourself a calf, a bull, for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without defect, and offer them before the Lord.

وَقالَ لِهارُونَ: «خُذْ عِجلاً لا عَيبَ فِيهِ لِذَبِيحَةِ الخَطِيَّةِ، وَكَبْشاً لا عَيبَ فِيهِ ذَبِيحَةً صّاعِدَةِ، وَقَدِّمْهُما فِي حَضرَةِ اللهِ.

3 T hen to the sons of Israel you shall speak, saying, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both one year old, without defect, for a burnt offering,

وَقُلْ لِبَنِي إسْرائِيلَ: ‹خُذُوا تَيساً مِنَ الماعِزِ لِذَبِيحَةِ الخَطِيَّةِ، وَعِجلاً وَحَمَلاً عُمْرُ كُلٍّ مِنْهُما سَنَةٌ وَلا عَيبَ فِيهِما لِلذَّبيحَةِ الصّاعِدَةِ،

4 a nd an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord, and a grain offering mixed with oil; for today the Lord will appear to you.’”

وَثَوراً وَكَبْشاً لِذَبيحَتِي السَّلامِ لِذَبحِهِما فِي حَضْرَةِ اللهِ ، وَتَقدِمَةَ طَحِينٍ بِزَيتٍ، وَذَلِكَ كُلُّهُ لِأنَّ اللهَ سَيَظهَرُ لَكُمُ اليَومَ.›»

5 S o they took what Moses had commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the whole congregation came near and stood before the Lord.

فَأحضَرُوا ما أمَرَ بِهِ أمامَ خَيمَةِ الاجْتِماعِ. وَأتَى كُلُّ الشَّعبِ إلَى الأمامِ وَوَقَفُوا فِي حَضْرَةِ اللهِ.

6 M oses said, “This is the thing which the Lord has commanded you to do, that the glory of the Lord may appear to you.”

فَقالَ مُوسَى: «هَذا هُوَ ما أمَرَكُمُ اللهُ بِأنْ تَعمَلُوهُ كَي يَظهَرَ مَجدُ اللهِ لَكُمْ.»

7 M oses then said to Aaron, “Come near to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, that you may make atonement for yourself and for the people; then make the offering for the people, that you may make atonement for them, just as the Lord has commanded.”

ثُمَّ قالَ مُوسَى لِهارُونَ: «تَقَدَّمْ إلَى المَذبَحِ وَقَدِّمْ ذَبِيحَةَ الخَطِيَّةِ وَالذَّبيحَةَ الصّاعِدَةَ اللَّتَينِ لَكَ، وَاعْمَلْ ما يَنبَغِي لِعَمَلِ كَفّارَةٍ لَكَ وَلِلشَّعبِ، وَقَدِّمْ تَقدِماتِ الشَّعبِ وَاعْمَلْ ما يَنبَغِي لِعَمَلِ كَفّارَةٍ لَهُمْ، كَما أمَرَ اللهُ.»

8 S o Aaron came near to the altar and slaughtered the calf of the sin offering which was for himself.

فَتَقَدَّمَ هارُونُ إلَى المَذبَحِ، وَذَبَحَ عِجلَ ذَبيحَةِ الخَطِيَّةِ الَّذِي كانَ لَهُ.

9 A aron’s sons presented the blood to him; and he dipped his finger in the blood and put some on the horns of the altar, and poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.

وَأحضَرَ أبْناؤُهُ الدَّمَ، فَغَمَسَ إصبَعَهُ فِي الدَّمِ وَوَضَعَ بَعضاً مِنْهُ عَلَى زَوايا المَذبَحِ، وَسَكَبَ بَقِيَّةَ الدَّمِ عِندَ قاعِدَةِ المَذبَحِ.

10 T he fat and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver of the sin offering, he then offered up in smoke on the altar just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

ثُمَّ أحرَقَ الشَّحمَ وَالكُلْيَتَينِ وَمُلحَقاتِ الكَبِدِ الَّتِي مِنْ ذَبِيحَةِ الخَطِيَّةِ عَلَى المَذبَحِ، كَما أمَرَ اللهُ مُوسَى.

11 T he flesh and the skin, however, he burned with fire outside the camp.

وَأُحرَقَ اللَّحمُ وَالجِلدُ بِنارٍ خارِجَ المُخَيَّمِ.

12 T hen he slaughtered the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons handed the blood to him and he sprinkled it around on the altar.

ثُمَّ ذَبَحَ هارُونُ كَبْشَ الذَّبيحَةِ الصّاعِدَةِ. وَأحضَرَ أبناؤُهُ الدَّمَ، فَسَكَبَهُ عَلَى جَوانِبِ المَذْبَحِ.

13 T hey handed the burnt offering to him in pieces, with the head, and he offered them up in smoke on the altar.

وَقَدَّمُوا لَهُ الذَّبيحَةَ الصّاعِدَةَ مُقَطَّعَةً مَعَ رَأْسِها، فَأحرَقَها هارُونُ عَلَى المَذبَحِ.

14 H e also washed the entrails and the legs, and offered them up in smoke with the burnt offering on the altar.

ثُمَّ غَسَلَ الأحشاءَ وَالسِّيقانَ وَأحرَقَها مَعَ الذَّبيحَةِ الصّاعِدَةِ عَلَى المَذبَحِ.

15 T hen he presented the people’s offering, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and slaughtered it and offered it for sin, like the first.

ثُمَّ أحضَرَ تَقدِمَةَ الشَّعبِ، فَأخَذَ تَيسَ الماعِزِ لِذَبِيحَةِ خَطِيَّةِ الشَّعبِ، وَذَبَحَهُ، وَقَدَّمَهُ ذَبِيحَةَ خَطِيَّةٍ مِثلَ أوَّلِ ذَبِيحَةٍ.

16 H e also presented the burnt offering, and offered it according to the ordinance.

ثُمَّ أحْضَرَ الذَّبيحَةَ الصّاعِدَةَ وَقَدَّمَها بِالطَريقَةِ المَقْبُولَةِ.

17 N ext he presented the grain offering, and filled his hand with some of it and offered it up in smoke on the altar, besides the burnt offering of the morning.

ثُمَّ أحضَرَ تَقدِمَةَ الطَّحِينِ، وَأخَذَ مِنْها مِقدارَ مِلءِ كَفِّهِ وَأحرَقَهُ عَلَى المَذبَحِ مَعَ ذَبيحَةِ الصَّباحِ الصّاعِدَةِ.

18 T hen he slaughtered the ox and the ram, the sacrifice of peace offerings which was for the people; and Aaron’s sons handed the blood to him and he sprinkled it around on the altar.

ثُمَّ ذَبَحَ هارُونُ الثَّورَ وَالكَبْشَ ذَبائِحَ سَلامٍ لِلشَّعبِ، وَقَدَّمَ أبْناؤُهُ الدَّمَ لَهُ، فَسَكَبَهُ عَلَى جَوانِبِ المَذْبَحِ.

19 A s for the portions of fat from the ox and from the ram, the fat tail, and the fat covering, and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver,

وَقَدَّمَ أبْناؤُهُ لَهُ شَحْمَ الثَّورِ وَالكَبْشِ: الذَّيلَ وَالشَّحمَ الَّذِي يُغَطِّي الأحشاءَ وَالكُلْيَتَينِ وَمُلحَقاتِ الكَبِدِ.

20 t hey now placed the portions of fat on the breasts; and he offered them up in smoke on the altar.

وَوَضَعُوا الشَّحمَ عَلَى الصَّدرَينِ وَأحرَقَهُما مَعاً عَلَى المَذبَحِ.

21 B ut the breasts and the right thigh Aaron presented as a wave offering before the Lord, just as Moses had commanded.

وَرَفَعَ هارُونُ الصَّدرَينِ وَالفَخذَ اليُمنَى تَقدِمَةً فِي حَضرَةِ اللهِ ، كَما أمَرَ اللهُ مُوسَى.

22 T hen Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them, and he stepped down after making the sin offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings.

ثُمَّ رَفَعَ هارُونُ يَدَيهِ نَحوَ الشَّعبِ وَبارَكَهُمْ. وَبَعدَ أنِ انتَهَى مِنْ تَقدِيمِ ذَبِيحَةِ الخَطِيَّةِ وَالذَّبيحَةِ الصّاعِدَةِ وَذَبِيحَةِ السَّلامِ، نَزَلَ مِنْ عَلَى المَذبَحِ.

23 M oses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting. When they came out and blessed the people, the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people.

ثُمَّ دَخَلَ مُوسَى وَهارُونُ إلَى خَيمَةِ الاجْتِماعِ. وَحِينَ خَرَجا، بارَكا الشَّعبَ، حِينَئِذٍ، ظَهَرَ مَجدُ اللهِ لِلشَّعبِ.

24 T hen fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the portions of fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.

وَخَرَجَتْ نارٌ مِنْ مَحضَرِ اللهِ وَأحرَقَتِ الذَّبيحَةَ الصّاعِدَةَ وَالشَّحمَ اللَّذَينِ عَلَى المَذبَحِ. وَرَأى كُلُّ الشَّعبِ ذَلِكَ، وَهَتَفُوا، وَرَكَعُوا وَوُجُوهُهُمْ إلَى الأرْضِ.
