1 T he fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good.

يَقُولُ الأحْمَقُ فِي قَلبِهِ: «اللهُ غَيرُ مَوجُودٍ!» الحَمقَى يُخَرِّبونَ. يَفعَلُونَ أُمُوراً مُلتَوِيَةً. وَلَيسَ فِيهُمْ مَنْ يَعمَلُ عَمَلاً صالِحاً.

2 T he Lord has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God.

مِنَ السَّماءِ نَظَرَ اللهُ إلَى البَشَرِ، لِيَرَى إنْ كانَ بَينَهُمْ أيُّ حَكِيمٍ، إنْ كانَ هُناكَ مَنْ يَطلُبُهُ.

3 T hey have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.

لَكِنَّهُمُ انْحَرَفُوا جَمِيعاً وَابتَعَدُوا. جَمِيعُهُمْ فاسِدُونَ. وَلَيسَ فِيهِمْ مَنْ يَعمَلُ عَمَلاً صالِحاً، وَلا واحِدٌ!

4 D o all the workers of wickedness not know, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord?

ألا يَفهَمُونَ؟ لا يَطلُبُ هَؤلاءِ الأشْرارُ مَشُورَةَ اللهِ ، لَكِنَّهُمْ يَلتَهِمُونَ شَعبِي كَما يَلتَهِمُونَ الطَّعامَ!

5 T here they are in great dread, For God is with the righteous generation.

وَعِندَما يُعاقِبُهُمُ اللهُ، سَيَرتَعِبُ الأشرارُ رُعباً. لِأنَّ اللهَ يَقِفُ مَعَ الصّالِحِينَ.

6 Y ou would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the Lord is his refuge.

يَستَصْغِرُ الأشرارُ سَعيَ المَساكِينِ إلَى النَّصِيحَةِ. لِأنَّ اللهَ هُوَ مَلاذُهُمْ وَمَلْجَأُهُمْ.

7 O h, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores His captive people, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.

لَيْتَ خَلاصَ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ يَأْتِي سَرِيعاً مِنْ عِندِ اللهِ عَلَى جَبَلِ صِهْيَوْنَ! عَندَما يُعِيدُ اللهُ أسرَى الحَربِ، سَيَبتَهِجُ يَعقُوبُ وَيَفرَحُ بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ.
