1 H alleluja! Lobet im Himmel den HERRN; lobet ihn in der Höhe!

Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

2 L obet ihn, alle seine Engel; lobet ihn, all sein Heer!

Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.

3 L obet ihn, Sonne und Mond; lobet ihn, alle leuchtenden Sterne!

Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

4 L obet ihn, ihr Himmel allenthalben und die Wasser, die oben am Himmel sind!

Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

5 D ie sollen loben den Namen des HERRN; denn er gebot, da wurden sie geschaffen.

Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

6 E r hält sie immer und ewiglich; er ordnet sie, daß sie nicht anders gehen dürfen.

He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

7 L obet den HERRN auf Erden, ihr Walfische und alle Tiefen;

Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

8 F euer, Hagel, Schnee und Dampf, Strumwinde, die sein Wort ausrichten;

Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

9 B erge und alle Hügel, fruchtbare Bäume und alle Zedern;

Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

10 T iere und alles Vieh, Gewürm und Vögel;

Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

11 i hr Könige auf Erden und alle Völker, Fürsten und alle Richter auf Erden;

Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

12 J ünglinge und Jungfrauen, Alte mit den Jungen!

Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:

13 D ie sollen loben den Namen des HERRN; denn sein Name allein ist hoch, sein Lob geht, soweit Himmel und Erde ist.

Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

14 U nd erhöht das Horn seines Volkes. Alle Heiligen sollen loben, die Kinder Israel, das Volk, das ihm dient. Halleluja!

He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord.
