1 ( Davids.) Ich danke dir von ganzem Herzen; vor den Göttern will ich dir lobsingen.

I will give thee thanks with my whole heart: Before the gods will I sing praises unto thee.

2 I ch will anbeten zu deinem heiligen Tempel und deinem Namen danken für deine Güte und Treue; denn du hast deinen Namen über alles herrlich gemacht durch dein Wort.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, And give thanks unto thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

3 W enn ich dich anrufe, so erhörst du mich und gibst meiner Seele große Kraft.

In the day that I called thou answeredst me, Thou didst encourage me with strength in my soul.

4 E s danken dir, HERR, alle Könige auf Erden, daß sie hören das Wort deines Mundes,

All the kings of the earth shall give thee thanks, O Jehovah, For they have heard the words of thy mouth.

5 u nd singen auf den Wegen des HERRN, daß die Ehre des HERRN groß sei.

Yea, they shall sing of the ways of Jehovah; For great is the glory of Jehovah.

6 D enn der HERR ist hoch und sieht auf das Niedrige und kennt die Stolzen von ferne.

For though Jehovah is high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly; But the haughty he knoweth from afar.

7 W enn ich mitten in der Angst wandle, so erquickst du mich und streckst deine Hand über den Zorn meiner Feinde und hilfst mir mit deiner Rechten.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me; Thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies, And thy right hand will save me.

8 D er HERR wird's für mich vollführen. HERR, deine Güte ist ewig. Das Werk deiner Hände wollest du nicht lassen.

Jehovah will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, endureth for ever; Forsake not the works of thine own hands.
