1 U nd er baute Häuser in der Stadt Davids und bereitete der Lade Gottes eine Stätte und breitete eine Hütte über sie.

And David made him houses in the city of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

2 D azumal sprach David: Die Lade Gottes soll niemand tragen außer den Leviten; denn diese hat der HERR erwählt, daß sie die Lade Gottes tragen und ihm dienen ewiglich.

Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath Jehovah chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.

3 D a versammelte David das ganze Israel gen Jerusalem, daß sie die Lade des HERRN hinaufbrächten an die Stätte, die er dazu bereitet hatte.

And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Jehovah unto its place, which he had prepared for it.

4 U nd David brachte zuhauf die Kinder Aaron und die Leviten:

And David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:

5 a us den Kindern Kahath: Uriel, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, hundertundzwanzig;

of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twenty;

6 a us den Kindern Merari: Asaja, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, zweihundertzwanzig;

of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty;

7 a us den Kindern Gerson: Joel, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, hundertunddreißig;

of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and thirty;

8 a us den Kindern Elizaphan: Semaja, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, zweihundert;

of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred;

9 a us den Kindern Hebron: Eliel, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, achtzig;

of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore;

10 a us den Kinder Usiel: Amminadab, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, hundertundzwölf.

of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twelve.

11 U nd David rief Zadok und Abjathar, die Priester, und die Leviten, nämlich Uriel, Asaja, Joel, Semaja, Eliel, Amminadab,

And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

12 u nd sprach zu ihnen: Ihr seid die Häupter der Vaterhäuser unter den Leviten; so heiligt nun euch und eure Brüder, daß ihr die Lade des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, heraufbringt an den Ort, den ich ihr bereitet habe;

and said unto them, Ye are the heads of the fathers' houses of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel, unto the place that I have prepared for it.

13 d enn das erstemal, da ihr nicht da waret, machte der HERR, unser Gott, einen Riß unter uns, darum daß wir ihn nicht suchten, wie sich's gebührt.

For because ye bare it not at the first, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not according to the ordinance.

14 A lso heiligten sich die Priester und die Leviten, daß sie die Lade des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, heraufbrächten.

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel.

15 U nd die Kinder Levi trugen die Lade Gottes auf ihren Achseln mit den Stangen daran, wie Mose geboten hatte nach dem Wort des HERRN.

And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of Jehovah.

16 U nd David sprach zu den Obersten der Leviten, daß sie ihre Brüder zu Sängern bestellen sollten mit Saitenspiel, mit Psaltern, Harfen und hellen Zimbeln, daß sie laut sängen und mit Freuden.

And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers, with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.

17 D a bestellten die Leviten Heman, den Sohn Joels, und aus seinen Brüdern Asaph, den Sohn Berechjas, und aus den Kindern Meraris, ihren Brüdern, Ethan, den Sohn Kusajas,

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

18 u nd mit ihnen ihre Brüder der zweiten Ordnung: Sacharja, Ben-Jaesiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaja, Maaseja, Matthithja, Eliphelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, die Torhüter.

and with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.

19 D enn Heman, Asaph und Ethan waren Sänger mit ehernen Zimbeln, hell zu klingen;

So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed with cymbals of brass to sound aloud;

20 S acharja aber, Asiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseja und Benaja mit Psaltern, nachzusingen;

and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries set to Alamoth;

21 M atthithja aber, Eliphelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom, Jeiel und Asasja mit Harfen von acht Saiten, vorzusingen;

and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps set to the Sheminith, to lead.

22 C henanja aber, der Leviten Oberster, der Sangmeister, daß er sie unterwiese zu singen; denn er war verständig.

And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.

23 U nd Berechja und Elkana waren Torhüter der Lade.

And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.

24 A ber Sebanja, Josaphat, Nathanael, Amasai, Sacharja, Benaja, Elieser, die Priester, bliesen die Drommeten vor der Lade Gottes; und Obed-Edom und Jehia waren Torhüter an der Lade.

And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

25 A lso gingen hin David und die Ältesten in Israel und die Obersten über die Tausende, heraufzuholen die Lade des Bundes des HERRN aus dem Hause Obed-Edoms mit Freuden.

So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.

26 U nd da Gott den Leviten half, die die Lade des Bundes des HERRN trugen, opferte man sieben Farren und sieben Widder.

And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams.

27 U nd David hatte einen leinenen Rock an, dazu alle Leviten, die die Lade trugen, und die Sänger und Chenanja, der Sangmeister, mit den Sängern; auch hatte David einen leinenen Leibrock darüber.

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: and David had upon him an ephod of linen.

28 A lso brachte das ganze Israel die Lade des Bundes des HERRN hinauf mit Jauchzen, Posaunen, Drommeten und hellen Zimbeln, mit Psaltern und Harfen.

Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with psalteries and harps.

29 D a nun die Lade des Bundes des HERRN in die Stadt Davids kam, sah Michal, die Tochter Sauls, zum Fenster heraus; und da sie den König David sah hüpfen und spielen, verachtete sie ihn in ihrem Herzen.

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
