4 F or this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

Porque estatuto es de Israel, Ordenanza del Dios de Jacob.

5 T his he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.

Lo constituyó como testimonio en José Cuando salió por la tierra de Egipto. Oí lenguaje que no entendía;

6 I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.

Aparté su hombro de debajo de la carga; Sus manos fueron descargadas de los cestos.

7 T hou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

En la calamidad clamaste, y yo te libré; Te respondí en lo secreto del trueno; Te probé junto a las aguas de Meriba. Selah

8 H ear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;

Oye, pueblo mío, y te amonestaré. Israel, si me oyeres,

9 T here shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.

No habrá en ti dios ajeno, Ni te inclinarás a dios extraño.

10 I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Yo soy Jehová tu Dios, Que te hice subir de la tierra de Egipto; Abre tu boca, y yo la llenaré.

11 B ut my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.

Pero mi pueblo no oyó mi voz, E Israel no me quiso a mí.

12 S o I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

Los dejé, por tanto, a la dureza de su corazón; Caminaron en sus propios consejos.

13 O h that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

Oh, si me hubiera oído mi pueblo, Si en mis caminos hubiera andado Israel!

14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

En un momento habría yo derribado a sus enemigos, Y vuelto mi mano contra sus adversarios.

15 T he haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.

Los que aborrecen a Jehová se le habrían sometido, Y el tiempo de ellos sería para siempre.

16 H e should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

Les sustentaría Dios con lo mejor del trigo, Y con miel de la peña les saciaría.
