1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Jehová, Dios de las venganzas, Dios de las venganzas, muéstrate.

2 L ift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

Engrandécete, oh Juez de la tierra; Da el pago a los soberbios.

3 L ord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

¿Hasta cuándo los impíos, Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, se gozarán los impíos?

4 H ow long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

¿Hasta cuándo pronunciarán, hablarán cosas duras, Y se vanagloriarán todos los que hacen iniquidad?

5 T hey break in pieces thy people, O Lord, and afflict thine heritage.

A tu pueblo, oh Jehová, quebrantan, Y a tu heredad afligen.

6 T hey slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

A la viuda y al extranjero matan, Y a los huérfanos quitan la vida.

7 Y et they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

Y dijeron: No verá JAH, Ni entenderá el Dios de Jacob.

8 U nderstand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

Entended, necios del pueblo; Y vosotros, fatuos, ¿cuándo seréis sabios?

9 H e that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

El que hizo el oído, ¿no oirá? El que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?

10 H e that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

El que castiga a las naciones, ¿no reprenderá? ¿No sabrá el que enseña al hombre la ciencia?

11 T he Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

Jehová conoce los pensamientos de los hombres, Que son vanidad.

12 B lessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

Bienaventurado el hombre a quien tú, JAH, corriges, Y en tu ley lo instruyes,

13 T hat thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Para hacerle descansar en los días de aflicción, En tanto que para el impío se cava el hoyo.

14 F or the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Porque no abandonará Jehová a su pueblo, Ni desamparará su heredad,

15 B ut judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Sino que el juicio será vuelto a la justicia, Y en pos de ella irán todos los rectos de corazón.

16 W ho will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¿Quién se levantará por mí contra los malignos? ¿Quién estará por mí contra los que hacen iniquidad?

17 U nless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

Si no me ayudara Jehová, Pronto moraría mi alma en el silencio.

18 W hen I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.

Cuando yo decía: Mi pie resbala, Tu misericordia, oh Jehová, me sustentaba.

19 I n the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

En la multitud de mis pensamientos dentro de mí, Tus consolaciones alegraban mi alma.

20 S hall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

¿Se juntará contigo el trono de iniquidades Que hace agravio bajo forma de ley?

21 T hey gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Se juntan contra la vida del justo, Y condenan la sangre inocente.

22 B ut the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Mas Jehová me ha sido por refugio, Y mi Dios por roca de mi confianza.

23 A nd he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

Y él hará volver sobre ellos su iniquidad, Y los destruirá en su propia maldad; Los destruirá Jehová nuestro Dios.
