1 Halelu-JAH. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye slaves of the LORD.

Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord! Praise Him, O servants of the Lord,

2 Y e that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,

you who stand in the house of the Lord, within the walls of the house of our God.

3 p raise JAH; for the LORD is good; sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good. Sing praises to His name, for it is sweet.

4 F or JAH has chosen Jacob unto himself and Israel for his own possession.

For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself. Israel belongs to Him.

5 For I know that the LORD is great and that our Lord is above all gods.

I know that the Lord is great. He is greater than all gods.

6 W hatever the LORD desired, he did in the heavens and in the earth, in the seas and in all the deep places.

The Lord does whatever is pleasing to Him, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and in all waters.

7 H e who causes the clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth, made the lightnings in the rain; he who brings the winds out of his treasuries.

He makes the clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning come with the rain. He brings the wind out from where He stores His riches.

8 H e who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast;

He killed the first-born of Egypt, both man and animal.

9 s ent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his slaves.

He sent special things to see and did great works among you, O Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants.

10 H e who smote many Gentiles and slew mighty kings,

He crushed many nations and killed powerful kings,

11 S ihon king of the Amorites and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan

King Sihon of the Amorites, King Og of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan.

12 g ave their land for a heritage, a heritage unto Israel his people.

And He gave their land as a gift, a gift to Israel His people.

13 T hy name, O LORD, is eternal, and thy memorial, O LORD, from generation to generation.

O Lord, Your name lasts forever. O Lord, You will be remembered for all time.

14 F or the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his slaves.

For the Lord will decide in favor of His people. He will have loving-pity on His servants.

15 The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

The gods of the nations are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.

16 T hey have a mouth, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see;

They have mouths but they do not speak. They have eyes but they do not see.

17 t hey have ears, but they do not hear; neither is there any spirit in their mouths.

They have ears but they do not hear. And there is no breath in their mouths.

18 L et those that make them become like unto them and every one that trusts in them.

Those who make them and those who trust in them will be like them.

19 B less the LORD, O house of Israel; bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

O house of Israel, give honor and thanks to the Lord. O house of Aaron, give honor and thanks to the Lord.

20 B less the LORD, O house of Levi; ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

O house of Levi, give honor and thanks to the Lord. You who fear the Lord, give honor and thanks to the Lord.

21 B lessed be the LORD out of Zion who dwells at Jerusalem. Halelu-JAH.

Honor and thanks be to the Lord from Zion, Who lives in Jerusalem. Praise the Lord!
