1 N ow these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.

2 T he sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

5 B y these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
From these the coastland peoples spread. in their lands, each with his own language, by their families within their nations.
6 A nd the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan.
7 A nd the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

8 A nd Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

9 H e was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.

10 A nd the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

13 A nd Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

14 a nd Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.

15 A nd Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,

16 a nd the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,

19 A nd the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon as one goes to Gerar as far as Gaza, and as one goes to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.
20 T hese are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
These are the sons of Ham by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations.
21 U nto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
To Shem also, the younger brother of Japheth and the ancestor of all the children of Eber, children were born.
22 T he children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.
23 A nd the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.

24 A nd Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.

25 A nd unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.

30 A nd their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.
The territory in which they lived extended from Mesha as one goes toward Sephar to the hill country of the east.
31 T hese are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
These are Shem’s descendants by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations.
32 T hese are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, within their nations; and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood.
