1 T he earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness of it, the world and they who dwell in it.

2 F or he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the currents and the rivers.

3 W ho shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place?

Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place?

4 H e that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 H e shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 T his is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, Jacob. Selah!

7 L ift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be lifted up, you age-abiding doors, that the King of glory may come in.

8 W ho is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 L ift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Lift up your heads, O you gates; yes, lift them up, you age-abiding doors, that the King of glory may come in.

10 W ho is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
