1 A nd of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as the Lord commanded Moses.

And of the blue and purple and scarlet they made finely wrought garments for serving in the Holy Place; they made the holy garments for Aaron, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

2 A nd he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

And Bezalel made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

3 A nd they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with cunning work.

And they beat the gold into thin sheets and cut it into wires to work into the blue, purple, and scarlet and the fine linen, in skilled design.

4 T hey made shoulderpieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it coupled together.

They made shoulder pieces for the ephod, joined to it at its two edges.

5 A nd the curious girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as the Lord commanded Moses.

And the skillfully woven band on it, to gird it on, was of the same piece and workmanship with it, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

6 A nd they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of Israel.

And they prepared the onyx stones enclosed in settings of gold filigree and engraved as signets are engraved with the names of the sons of Israel.

7 A nd he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they should be stones for a memorial to the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.

And he put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod to be stones of memorial or remembrance for the Israelites, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

8 A nd he made the breastplate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

And made the breastplate skillfully, like the work of the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

9 I t was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.

The breastplate was a span square when doubled over.

10 A nd they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row.

11 A nd the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

12 A nd the third row, a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

13 A nd the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: they were inclosed in ouches of gold in their inclosings.

14 A nd the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with his name, according to the twelve tribes.

15 A nd they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold.

And they made of the breastplate twisted chains like cords, of pure gold.

16 A nd they made two ouches of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate.

And they made two settings of gold filigree and two gold rings which they put on the two ends of the breastplate.

17 A nd they put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate.

And they put the two twisted cords or woven chains of gold in the two rings on the end edges of the breastplate.

18 A nd the two ends of the two wreathen chains they fastened in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, before it.

And the other two ends of the twisted cords or chains of gold they put on the two settings and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, in front.

19 A nd they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, upon the border of it, which was on the side of the ephod inward.

They made two rings of gold and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the inside edge of it next to the ephod.

20 A nd they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart of it, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.

And they made two gold rings and attached them to the two shoulder pieces of the ephod underneath, in front, at its joining above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.

21 A nd they did bind the breastplate by his rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; as the Lord commanded Moses.

They bound the breastplate by its rings to those of the ephod with a blue lace, that it might lie upon the skillfully woven band of the ephod and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod, as the Lord commanded Moses.

22 A nd he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.

23 A nd there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of an habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend.

And there was an opening in the middle of the robe like the hole in a coat of mail, with a binding around it, that it should not be torn.

24 A nd they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.

On the skirts of the robe they made pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet and twined linen.

25 A nd they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates;

And they made bells of pure gold and put between the pomegranates around the skirts of the robe;

26 a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; as the Lord commanded Moses.

27 A nd they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,

And they made the long and sleeved tunics woven of fine linen for Aaron and his sons,

28 a nd a mitre of fine linen, and goodly bonnets of fine linen, and linen breeches of fine twined linen,

And the turban, and the ornamental caps of fine linen, and the breeches of fine twined linen,

29 a nd a girdle of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, of needlework; as the Lord commanded Moses.

The girdle or sash of fine twined linen, and blue, purple, and scarlet embroidery, as the Lord commanded Moses.

30 A nd they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold and wrote upon it an inscription, like the engravings of a signet, holy to the lord.

31 A nd they tied unto it a lace of blue, to fasten it on high upon the mitre; as the Lord commanded Moses.

32 T hus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finished: and the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.

33 A nd they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets,

And they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent and all its furnishings, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets or bases;

34 a nd the covering of rams’ skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers’ skins, and the vail of the covering,

And the covering of rams’ skins made red, and the covering of dolphin or porpoise skins, and the veil of the screen;

35 t he ark of the testimony, and the staves thereof, and the mercy seat,

The ark of the Testimony, its poles, and the mercy seat;

36 t he table, and all the vessels thereof, and the shewbread,

The table and all its utensils, and the showbread (bread of the Presence);

37 t he pure candlestick, with the lamps thereof, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light,

The pure lampstand and its lamps, with the lamps set in order, all its utensils, and the oil for the light;

38 a nd the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the tabernacle door,

The golden altar, the anointing oil, the fragrant incense, and the hanging for the door of the tent;

39 t he brasen altar, and his grate of brass, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot,

The bronze altar and its grate of bronze, its poles and all its utensils; the laver and its base;

40 t he hangings of the court, his pillars, and his sockets, and the hanging for the court gate, his cords, and his pins, and all the vessels of the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation,

The hangings of the court, its pillars and sockets or bases, and the screen for the court gate, its cords, and pegs, and all the utensils for the service of the tabernacle, for the Tent of Meeting;

41 t he cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons’ garments, to minister in the priest’s office.

The finely worked vestments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons to minister as priests.

42 A ccording to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.

According to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so the Israelites had done all the work.

43 A nd Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the Lord had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

And Moses inspected all the work, and behold, they had done it; as the Lord had commanded, so had they done it. And Moses blessed them.
