1 T he earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

(Un psalm al lui David.) Al Domnului este pămîntul cu tot ce este pe el, lumea şi cei ce o locuiesc!

2 F or he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Căci El l -a întemeiat pe mări, şi l -a întărit pe rîuri.

3 W ho shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place?

Cine va putea să se suie la muntele Domnului? Cine se va ridica pînă la locul Lui cel Sfînt? -

4 H e that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Cel ce are mînile nevinovate şi inima curată, cel ce nu-şi dedă sufletul la minciună, şi nu jură ca să înşele.

5 H e shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Acela va căpăta binecuvîntarea Domnului, starea după voia Lui dată de Dumnezeul mîntuirii lui.

6 T his is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Iată partea de moştenire a celor ce -L cheamă, a celor ce caută Faţa Ta, Dumnezeul lui Iacov. -

7 L ift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Porţi, ridicaţi-vă capetele; ridicaţi-vă, porţi vecinice, ca să intre Împăratul slavei! -

8 W ho is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Cine este acest Împărat al slavei?`` -Domnul cel tare şi puternic, Domnul cel viteaz în lupte.

9 L ift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Porţi, ridicaţi-vă capetele; ridicaţi-le, porţi vecinice, ca să intre Împăratul slavei! -

10 W ho is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Cine este acest Împărat al slavei?`` -Domnul oştirilor: El este Împăratul slavei! -(Oprire).
