Domnul iubeşte porţile Sionului mai mult decît toate locaşurile lui Iacov.

Lucruri pline de slavă au fost spuse despre tine, cetate a lui Dumnezeu! -

4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.

Eu pomenesc Egiptul şi Babilonul printre cei ce Mă cunosc; iată, ţara Filistenilor, Tirul, cu Etiopia:,,în Sion s'au născut.`` -

5 A nd of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

Iar despre Sion este zis:,, Toţi s'au născut în el,`` şi Cel Prea Înalt îl întăreşte.

6 T he Lord shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.

Domnul numără popoarele, scriindu-le:,, Acolo s'au născut.`` -

7 A s well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.

Şi cei ce cîntă şi ceice joacă strigă:,, Toate izvoarele mele sînt în Tine.``
