1 J esus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.

Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple.

2 B ut he answered them, “You see all of these things, don’t you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.”

And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age

3 A s he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?”

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

4 J esus answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.

And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

5 F or many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray.

For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

6 Y ou will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet.

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 F or nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

8 B ut all these things are the beginning of birth pains.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 T hen they will deliver you up to oppression, and will kill you. You will be hated by all of the nations for my name’s sake.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

10 T hen many will stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.

And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

11 M any false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray.

Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

12 B ecause iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold.

And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

13 B ut he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

14 T his Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. The Great Tribulation

15 When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),

16 t hen let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

“then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

17 L et him who is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house.

Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.

18 L et him who is in the field not return back to get his clothes.

And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

19 B ut woe to those who are with child and to nursing mothers in those days!

But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

20 P ray that your flight will not be in the winter, nor on a Sabbath,

And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.

21 f or then there will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 U nless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

23 Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There,’ don’t believe it.

“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.

24 F or there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

25 Behold, I have told you beforehand.

See, I have told you beforehand.

26 I f therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it.

“Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.

27 F or as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

28 F or wherever the carcass is, there is where the vultures gather together.

For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. The Coming of the Son of Man

29 B ut immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

30 a nd then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 H e will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. The Parable of the Fig Tree

32 Now from the fig tree learn this parable. When its branch has now become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near.

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

33 E ven so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!

34 M ost certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished.

Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

35 H eaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. No One Knows the Day or Hour

36 B ut no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

37 As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

38 F or as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship,

For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,

39 a nd they didn’t know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

40 T hen two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one will be left;

Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.

41 t wo women grinding at the mill, one will be taken and one will be left.

Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.

42 W atch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

43 B ut know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

44 T herefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. The Faithful Servant and the Evil Servant

45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?

46 B lessed is that servant whom his lord finds doing so when he comes.

Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.

47 M ost certainly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.

Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.

48 B ut if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My lord is delaying his coming,’

But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’

49 a nd begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with the drunkards,

and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,

50 t he lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn’t expect it, and in an hour when he doesn’t know it,

the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,

51 a nd will cut him in pieces, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. There is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.

and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
