1 E u amo o Senhor, porque ele me ouviu quando lhe fiz a minha súplica.

I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.

2 E le inclinou os seus ouvidos para mim; eu o invocarei toda a minha vida.

Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

3 A s cordas da morte me envolveram, as angústias do Sheol vieram sobre mim; aflição e tristeza me dominaram.

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

4 E ntão clamei pelo nome do Senhor: Livra-me, Senhor!

Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

5 O Senhor é misericordioso e justo; o nosso Deus é compassivo.

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

6 O Senhor protege os simples; quando eu já estava sem forças, ele me salvou.

The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

7 R etorne ao seu descanso, ó minha alma, porque o Senhor tem sido bom para você!

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 P ois tu me livraste da morte, e livraste os meus olhos das lágrimas e os meus pés, de tropeçar,

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

9 p ara que eu pudesse andar diante do Senhor na terra dos viventes.

I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

10 E u cri, ainda que tenha dito: Estou muito aflito.

I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

11 E m pânico eu disse: Ninguém merece confiança.

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 C omo posso retribuir ao Senhor toda a sua bondade para comigo?

What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?

13 E rguerei o cálice da salvação e invocarei o nome do Senhor.

I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.

14 C umprirei para com o Senhor os meus votos, na presença de todo o seu povo.

I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.

15 O Senhor vê com pesar a morte de seus fiéis.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

16 S enhor, sou teu servo, Sim, sou teu servo, filho da tua serva; livraste-me das minhas correntes.

O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

17 O ferecerei a ti um sacrifício de gratidão e invocarei o nome do Senhor.

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.

18 C umprirei para com o Senhor os meus votos, na presença de todo o seu povo,

I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.

19 n os pátios da casa do Senhor, no seu interior, ó Jerusalém! Aleluia!

In the courts of the Lord 's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
