1 T hen the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Tell the sons of Israel to raise a contribution for Me; from every man whose heart moves him you shall raise My contribution.

Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me a heave-offering: of every one whose heart prompteth him, ye shall take my heave-offering.

3 T his is the contribution which you are to raise from them: gold, silver and bronze,

And this is the heave-offering that ye shall take of them: gold, and silver, and copper,

4 b lue, purple and scarlet material, fine linen, goat hair,

and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and byssus, and goats',

5 r ams’ skins dyed red, porpoise skins, acacia wood,

and rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins; and acacia-wood;

6 o il for lighting, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense,

oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil, and for the incense of fragrant drugs;

7 o nyx stones and setting stones for the ephod and for the breastpiece.

8 L et them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them.

And they shall make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

9 A ccording to all that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall construct it. Ark of the Covenant

According to all that I shall shew thee, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the utensils thereof, even so shall ye make.

10 They shall construct an ark of acacia wood two and a half cubits long, and one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.

And they shall make an ark of acacia-wood; two cubits and a half the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

11 Y ou shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and you shall make a gold molding around it.

And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold: inside and outside shalt thou overlay it; and shalt make upon it a border of gold round about.

12 Y ou shall cast four gold rings for it and fasten them on its four feet, and two rings shall be on one side of it and two rings on the other side of it.

And cast four rings of gold for it, and put at the four corners thereof, that two rings may be upon the one side thereof and two rings upon the other side thereof.

13 Y ou shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.

And make staves of acacia-wood and overlay them with gold.

14 Y ou shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them.

And put the staves into the rings upon the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.

15 T he poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it.

The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not come out from it.

16 Y ou shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.

And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony that I shall give thee.

17 You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.

And thou shalt make a mercy-seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

18 Y ou shall make two cherubim of gold, make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat.

And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold; beaten work shalt thou make them, at the two ends of the mercy-seat.

19 M ake one cherub at one end and one cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends.

And make one cherub at the end of the one side, and one cherub at the end of the other side; out of the mercy-seat shall ye make the cherubim at the two ends thereof.

20 T he cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat.

And the cherubim shall stretch out wings over it, covering over with their wings the mercy-seat, and their faces opposite to one another: toward the mercy-seat shall the faces of the cherubim be.

21 Y ou shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you.

And thou shalt put the mercy-seat above on the ark, and shalt put in the ark the testimony that I shall give thee.

22 T here I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel. The Table of Showbread

And there will I meet with thee, and will speak with thee from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, everything that I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

23 You shall make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long and one cubit wide and one and a half cubits high.

And thou shalt make a table of acacia-wood, two cubits the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

24 Y ou shall overlay it with pure gold and make a gold border around it.

And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make upon it a border of gold round about.

25 Y ou shall make for it a rim of a handbreadth around it; and you shall make a gold border for the rim around it.

And thou shalt make for it a margin of a handbreadth round about, and shalt make a border of gold for the margin thereof round about.

26 Y ou shall make four gold rings for it and put rings on the four corners which are on its four feet.

And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings at the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.

27 T he rings shall be close to the rim as holders for the poles to carry the table.

Close to the margin shall the rings be, as receptacles of the staves to carry the table.

28 Y ou shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that with them the table may be carried.

And thou shalt make the staves of acacia-wood, and overlay them with gold; and the table shall be carried upon them.

29 Y ou shall make its dishes and its pans and its jars and its bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold.

And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and cups thereof, and goblets thereof, and bowls thereof, with which to pour out: of pure gold shalt thou make them.

30 Y ou shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before Me at all times. The Golden Lampstand

And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me continually.

31 Then you shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand and its base and its shaft are to be made of hammered work; its cups, its bulbs and its flowers shall be of one piece with it.

And thou shalt make a lamp-stand of pure gold; beaten work shall the lamp-stand be made: its base and its shaft, its cups, its knobs, and its flowers shall be of the same.

32 S ix branches shall go out from its sides; three branches of the lampstand from its one side and three branches of the lampstand from its other side.

And six branches shall come out of the sides thereof—three branches of the lamp-stand out of one side thereof, and three branches of the lamp-stand out of the other side thereof;

33 T hree cups shall be shaped like almond blossoms in the one branch, a bulb and a flower, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bulb and a flower—so for six branches going out from the lampstand;

three cups shaped like almonds in the one branch, a knob and a flower: and three cups shaped like almonds in the other branch, a knob and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the lamp-stand.

34 a nd in the lampstand four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its bulbs and its flowers.

And in the lamp-stand four cups shaped like almonds, its knobs and its flowers;

35 A bulb shall be under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand.

and a knob under two branches of it, and a knob under two branches of it, and a knob under two branches of it, for the six branches that proceed out of the lamp-stand.

36 T heir bulbs and their branches shall be of one piece with it; all of it shall be one piece of hammered work of pure gold.

Their knobs and their branches shall be of itself—all of one beaten work of pure gold.

37 T hen you shall make its lamps seven in number; and they shall mount its lamps so as to shed light on the space in front of it.

And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof, and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may shine out before it;

38 I ts snuffers and their trays shall be of pure gold.

and the snuffers thereof, and the snuff-trays thereof, of pure gold.

39 I t shall be made from a talent of pure gold, with all these utensils.

Of a talent of pure gold shall they make it, with all these utensils.

40 S ee that you make them after the pattern for them, which was shown to you on the mountain.

And see that thou make according to their pattern, which hath been shewn to thee in the mountain.
