16 T hus Moses did; according to all that the Lord had commanded him, so he did.

And Moses did so: as Jehovah had commanded him, so did he.

17 N ow in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was erected.

And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first of the month, that the tabernacle was set up.

18 M oses erected the tabernacle and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and inserted its bars and erected its pillars.

And Moses set up the tabernacle, and put in its bases, and fixed its boards, and put in its bars, and set up its pillars.

19 H e spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above over it; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

20 T hen he took the testimony and put it into the ark, and attached the poles to the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark.

And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and put the staves in the ark, and put the mercy-seat above on the ark.

21 H e brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up a veil for the screen, and screened off the ark of the testimony, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and hung up the veil of separation, and covered the ark of the testimony; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

22 T hen he put the table in the tent of meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil.

And he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside the veil,

23 H e set the arrangement of bread in order on it before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

and arranged the bread in order upon it before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

24 T hen he placed the lampstand in the tent of meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.

And he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, opposite to the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

25 H e lighted the lamps before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

And he lighted the lamps before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

26 T hen he placed the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the veil;

And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil.

27 a nd he burned fragrant incense on it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

And he burnt on it fragrant incense; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

28 T hen he set up the veil for the doorway of the tabernacle.

And he hung up the curtain of the entrance to the tabernacle.

29 H e set the altar of burnt offering before the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

And he put the altar of burnt-offering at the entrance to the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt-offering and the oblation; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

30 H e placed the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing.

And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing.

31 F rom it Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet.

And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet out of it:

32 W hen they entered the tent of meeting, and when they approached the altar, they washed, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they drew near to the altar, they washed; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

33 H e erected the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the veil for the gateway of the court. Thus Moses finished the work. The Glory of the Lord

And he set up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the curtain of the gate of the court. And so Moses finished the work.

34 T hen the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

And the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

35 M oses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

And Moses could not enter into the tent of meeting, for the cloud abode on it, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

36 T hroughout all their journeys whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out;

And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel journeyed in all their journeys.

37 b ut if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was taken up.

And if the cloud were not taken up, then they did not journey until the day that it was taken up.

38 F or throughout all their journeys, the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.

For the cloud of Jehovah was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
