41 M ay Your lovingkindnesses also come to me, O Lord, Your salvation according to Your word;

42 S o I will have an answer for him who reproaches me, For I trust in Your word.

So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me; for I confide in thy word.

43 A nd do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, For I wait for Your ordinances.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; because I have hoped in thy judgments.

44 S o I will keep Your law continually, Forever and ever.

45 A nd I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts.

85 T he arrogant have dug pits for me, Men who are not in accord with Your law.

The proud have digged pits for me, which is not according to thy law.

86 A ll Your commandments are faithful; They have persecuted me with a lie; help me!

All thy commandments are faithfulness. They persecute me wrongfully: help thou me.

87 T hey almost destroyed me on earth, But as for me, I did not forsake Your precepts.

They had almost consumed me upon the earth; but as for me, I forsook not thy precepts.

88 R evive me according to Your lovingkindness, So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth. Lamedh.

Quicken me according to thy loving-kindness, and I will keep the testimony of thy mouth.

89 F orever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.

LAMED. For ever, O Jehovah, thy word is settled in the heavens.

90 Y our faithfulness continues throughout all generations; You established the earth, and it stands.

91 T hey stand this day according to Your ordinances, For all things are Your servants.

92 I f Your law had not been my delight, Then I would have perished in my affliction.
