1 “ Had it not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say,

（ 大 衛 上 行 之 詩 。 ） 以 色 列 人 要 說 ： 若 不 是 耶 和 華 幫 助 我 們 ，

2 “ Had it not been the Lord who was on our side When men rose up against us,

若 不 是 耶 和 華 幫 助 我 們 ， 當 人 起 來 攻 擊 我 們 、

3 T hen they would have swallowed us alive, When their anger was kindled against us;

向 我 們 發 怒 的 時 候 ， 就 把 我 們 活 活 地 吞 了 。

4 T hen the waters would have engulfed us, The stream would have swept over our soul;

那 時 ， 波 濤 必 漫 過 我 們 ， 河 水 必 淹 沒 我 們 ，

5 T hen the raging waters would have swept over our soul.”

狂 傲 的 水 必 淹 沒 我 們 。

6 B lessed be the Lord, Who has not given us to be torn by their teeth.

耶 和 華 是 應 當 稱 頌 的 ！ 他 沒 有 把 我 們 當 野 食 交 給 他 們 吞 吃 （ 原 文 是 牙 齒 ） 。

7 O ur soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the trapper; The snare is broken and we have escaped.

我 們 好 像 雀 鳥 ， 從 捕 鳥 人 的 網 羅 裡 逃 脫 ； 網 羅 破 裂 ， 我 們 逃 脫 了 。

8 O ur help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

我 們 得 幫 助 ， 是 在 乎 倚 靠 造 天 地 之 耶 和 華 的 名 。
