1 W hen Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, she envied her sister, and said to Jacob, Give me children, or else I will die!

拉 结 见 自 己 不 给 雅 各 生 子 ， 就 嫉 妒 他 姊 姊 ， 对 雅 各 说 ： 你 给 我 孩 子 ， 不 然 我 就 死 了 。

2 A nd Jacob became very angry with Rachel and he said, Am I in God’s stead, Who has denied you children?

雅 各 向 拉 结 生 气 ， 说 ： 叫 你 不 生 育 的 是 神 ， 我 岂 能 代 替 他 作 主 呢 ？

3 A nd she said, See here, take my maid Bilhah and have intercourse with her; and she shall deliver it upon my knees, that I by her may also have children.

拉 结 说 ： 有 我 的 使 女 辟 拉 在 这 里 ， 你 可 以 与 他 同 房 ， 使 他 生 子 在 我 膝 下 ， 我 便 因 他 也 得 孩 子 ( 原 文 作 被 建 立 ) 。

4 A nd she gave him Bilhah her maid as a wife, and Jacob had intercourse with her.

拉 结 就 把 他 的 使 女 辟 拉 给 丈 夫 为 妾 ； 雅 各 便 与 他 同 房 ，

5 A nd Bilhah became pregnant and bore Jacob a son.

辟 拉 就 怀 孕 ， 给 雅 各 生 了 一 个 儿 子 。

6 A nd Rachel said, God has judged and vindicated me, and has heard my plea and has given me a son; so she named him Dan.

拉 结 说 ： 神 伸 了 我 的 冤 ， 也 听 了 我 的 声 音 ， 赐 我 一 个 儿 子 ， 因 此 给 他 起 名 叫 但 ( 就 是 伸 冤 的 意 思 ) 。

7 A nd Bilhah, Rachel’s maid, conceived again and bore Jacob a second son.

拉 结 的 使 女 辟 拉 又 怀 孕 ， 给 雅 各 生 了 第 二 个 儿 子 。

8 A nd Rachel said, With mighty wrestlings I have struggled with my sister and have prevailed; so she named him Naphtali.

拉 结 说 ： 我 与 我 姊 姊 大 大 相 争 ， 并 且 得 胜 ， 於 是 给 他 起 名 叫 拿 弗 他 利 ( 就 是 相 争 的 意 思 ) 。

9 W hen Leah saw that she had ceased to bear, she gave Zilpah her maid to Jacob as a wife.

利 亚 见 自 己 停 了 生 育 ， 就 把 使 女 悉 帕 给 雅 各 为 妾 。

10 A nd Zilpah, Leah’s maid, bore Jacob a son.

利 亚 的 使 女 悉 帕 给 雅 各 生 了 一 个 儿 子 。

11 T hen Leah said, Victory and good fortune have come; and she named him Gad.

利 亚 说 ： 万 幸 ！ 於 是 给 他 起 名 叫 迦 得 ( 就 是 万 幸 的 意 思 ) 。

12 Z ilpah, Leah’s maid, bore Jacob second son.

利 亚 的 使 女 悉 帕 又 给 雅 各 生 了 第 二 个 儿 子 。

13 A nd Leah said, I am happy, for women will call me blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied); and she named him Asher.

利 亚 说 ： 我 有 福 阿 ， 众 女 子 都 要 称 我 是 有 福 的 ， 於 是 给 他 起 名 叫 亚 设 ( 就 是 有 福 的 意 思 ) 。

14 N ow Reuben went at the time of wheat harvest and found some mandrakes (love apples) in the field and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray you, some of your son’s mandrakes.

割 麦 子 的 时 候 ， 流 便 往 田 里 去 ， 寻 见 风 茄 ， 拿 来 给 他 母 亲 利 亚 。 拉 结 对 利 亚 说 ： 请 你 把 你 儿 子 的 风 茄 给 我 些 。

15 B ut answered, Is it not enough that you have taken my husband without your taking away my son’s mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Jacob shall sleep with you tonight for your son’s mandrakes.

利 亚 说 ： 你 夺 了 我 的 丈 夫 还 算 小 事 麽 ？ 你 又 要 夺 我 儿 子 的 风 茄 麽 ？ 拉 结 说 ： 为 你 儿 子 的 风 茄 ， 今 夜 他 可 以 与 你 同 寝 。

16 A nd Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him and said, You must sleep with me, for I have certainly paid your hire with my son’s mandrakes. So he slept with her that night.

到 了 晚 上 ， 雅 各 从 田 里 回 来 ， 利 亚 出 来 迎 接 他 ， 说 ： 你 要 与 我 同 寝 ， 因 为 我 实 在 用 我 儿 子 的 风 茄 把 你 雇 下 了 。 那 一 夜 ， 雅 各 就 与 他 同 寝 。

17 A nd God heeded Leah’s, and she conceived and bore Jacob fifth son.

神 应 允 了 利 亚 ， 他 就 怀 孕 ， 给 雅 各 生 了 第 五 个 儿 子 。

18 L eah said, God has given me my hire, because I have given my maid to my husband; and she called his name Issachar.

利 亚 说 ： 神 给 了 我 价 值 ， 因 为 我 把 使 女 给 了 我 丈 夫 ， 於 是 给 他 起 名 叫 以 萨 迦 ( 就 是 价 值 的 意 思 ) 。

19 A nd Leah became pregnant again and bore Jacob sixth son.

利 亚 又 怀 孕 ， 给 雅 各 生 了 第 六 个 儿 子 。

20 T hen Leah said, God has endowed me with a good marriage gift; now will he dwell with me, because I have borne him six sons; and she named him Zebulun.

利 亚 说 ： 神 赐 我 厚 赏 ； 我 丈 夫 必 与 我 同 住 ， 因 我 给 他 生 了 六 个 儿 子 ， 於 是 给 他 起 名 西 布 伦 ( 就 是 同 住 的 意 思 ) 。

21 A fterwards she bore a daughter and called her Dinah.

後 来 又 生 了 一 个 女 儿 ， 给 他 起 名 叫 底 拿 。

22 T hen God remembered Rachel and answered her pleading and made it possible for her to have children.

神 顾 念 拉 结 ， 应 允 了 他 ， 使 他 能 生 育 。

23 A nd she became pregnant and bore a son; and she said, God has taken away my reproach, disgrace, and humiliation.

拉 结 怀 孕 生 子 ， 说 ： 神 除 去 了 我 的 羞 耻 ，

24 A nd she called his name Joseph and said, May the Lord add to me another son.

就 给 他 起 名 叫 约 瑟 ( 就 是 增 添 的 意 思 ) ， 意 思 说 ： 愿 耶 和 华 再 增 添 我 一 个 儿 子 。

25 W hen Rachel had borne Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, Send me away, that I may go to my own place and country.

拉 结 生 约 瑟 之 後 ， 雅 各 对 拉 班 说 ： 请 打 发 我 走 ， 叫 我 回 到 我 本 乡 本 土 去 。

26 G ive me my wives and my children, for whom I have served you, and let me go; for you know the work which I have done for you.

请 你 把 我 服 事 你 所 得 的 妻 子 和 儿 女 给 我 ， 让 我 走 ； 我 怎 样 服 事 你 ， 你 都 知 道 。

27 A nd Laban said to him, If I have found favor in your sight, I pray you; for I have learned by experience and from the omens in divination that the Lord has favored me with blessings on your account.

拉 班 对 他 说 ： 我 若 在 你 眼 前 蒙 恩 ， 请 你 仍 与 我 同 住 ， 因 为 我 已 算 定 ， 耶 和 华 赐 福 与 我 是 为 你 的 缘 故 ；

28 H e said, State your salary and I will give it.

又 说 ： 请 你 定 你 的 工 价 ， 我 就 给 你 。

29 J acob answered him, You know how I have served you, and how your possessions, your cattle and sheep and goats, have fared with me.

雅 各 对 他 说 ： 我 怎 样 服 事 你 ， 你 的 牲 畜 在 我 手 里 怎 样 ， 是 你 知 道 的 。

30 F or you had little before I came, and it has increased and multiplied abundantly; and the Lord has favored you with blessings wherever I turned. But now, when shall I provide for my own house also?

我 未 来 之 先 ， 你 所 有 的 很 少 ， 现 今 却 发 大 众 多 ， 耶 和 华 随 我 的 脚 步 赐 福 与 你 。 如 今 ， 我 甚 麽 时 候 才 为 自 己 兴 家 立 业 呢 ？

31 s aid, What shall I give you? And Jacob said, You shall not give me anything, if you will do this one thing for me, and I will again feed and take care of your flock.

拉 班 说 ： 我 当 给 你 甚 麽 呢 ？ 雅 各 说 ： 甚 麽 你 也 不 必 给 我 ， 只 有 一 件 事 ， 你 若 应 承 ， 我 便 仍 旧 牧 放 你 的 羊 群 。

32 L et me pass through all your flock today, removing from it every speckled and spotted animal and every black one among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and such shall be my wages.

今 天 我 要 走 遍 你 的 羊 群 ， 把 绵 羊 中 凡 有 点 的 、 有 斑 的 ， 和 黑 色 的 ， 并 山 羊 中 凡 有 斑 的 、 有 点 的 ， 都 挑 出 来 ； 将 来 这 一 等 的 就 算 我 的 工 价 。

33 S o later when the matter of my wages is brought before you, my fair dealing will be evident and answer for me. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats and black among the sheep, if found with me, shall be counted as stolen.

以 後 你 来 查 看 我 的 工 价 ， 凡 在 我 手 里 的 山 羊 不 是 有 点 有 斑 的 ， 绵 羊 不 是 黑 色 的 ， 那 就 算 是 我 偷 的 ； 这 样 便 可 证 出 我 的 公 义 来 。

34 A nd Laban said, Good; let it be done as you say.

拉 班 说 ： 好 阿 ！ 我 情 愿 照 着 你 的 话 行 。

35 B ut that same day removed the he-goats that were streaked and spotted and all the she-goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had white on it, and every black lamb, and put them in charge of his sons.

当 日 ， 拉 班 把 有 纹 的 、 有 斑 的 公 山 羊 ， 有 点 的 、 有 斑 的 、 有 杂 白 纹 的 母 山 羊 ， 并 黑 色 的 绵 羊 ， 都 挑 出 来 ， 交 在 他 儿 子 们 的 手 下 ，

36 A nd he set three days’ journey between himself and Jacob; and Jacob was then left in care of the rest of Laban’s flock.

又 使 自 己 和 雅 各 相 离 三 天 的 路 程 。 雅 各 就 牧 养 拉 班 其 馀 的 羊 。

37 B ut Jacob took fresh rods of poplar and almond and plane trees and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white in the rods.

雅 各 拿 杨 树 、 杏 树 、 枫 树 的 嫩 枝 ， 将 皮 剥 成 白 纹 ， 使 枝 子 露 出 白 的 来 ，

38 T hen he set the rods which he had peeled in front of the flocks in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink. And since they bred and conceived when they came to drink,

将 剥 了 皮 的 枝 子 ， 对 着 羊 群 ， 插 在 饮 羊 的 水 沟 里 和 水 槽 里 ， 羊 来 喝 的 时 候 ， 牝 牡 配 合 。

39 T he flocks bred and conceived in sight of the rods and brought forth lambs and kids streaked, speckled, and spotted.

羊 对 着 枝 子 配 合 ， 就 生 下 有 纹 的 、 有 点 的 、 有 斑 的 来 。

40 J acob separated the lambs, and he also set the faces of the flocks toward the streaked and all the dark in the flock of Laban; and he put his own droves by themselves and did not let them breed with Laban’s flock.

雅 各 把 羊 羔 分 出 来 ， 使 拉 班 的 羊 与 这 有 纹 和 黑 色 的 羊 相 对 ， 把 自 己 的 羊 另 放 一 处 ， 不 叫 他 和 拉 班 的 羊 混 杂 。

41 A nd whenever the stronger animals were breeding, Jacob laid the rods in the watering troughs before the eyes of the flock, that they might breed and conceive among the rods.

到 羊 群 肥 壮 配 合 的 时 候 ， 雅 各 就 把 枝 子 插 在 水 沟 里 ， 使 羊 对 着 枝 子 配 合 。

42 B ut when the sheep and goats were feeble, he omitted putting the rods there; so the feebler animals were Laban’s and the stronger Jacob’s.

只 是 到 羊 瘦 弱 配 合 的 时 候 就 不 插 枝 子 。 这 样 ， 瘦 弱 的 就 归 拉 班 ， 肥 壮 的 就 归 雅 各 。

43 T hus the man increased and became exceedingly rich, and had many sheep and goats, and maidservants, menservants, camels, and donkeys.

於 是 雅 各 极 其 发 大 ， 得 了 许 多 的 羊 群 、 仆 婢 、 骆 驼 ， 和 驴 。
