1 F or Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, And her salvation like a torch that is burning.

Um Zions willen will ich nicht schweigen, und um Jerusalems willen will ich nicht innehalten, bis daß ihre Gerechtigkeit aufgehe wie ein Glanz und ihr Heil entbrenne wie eine Fackel,

2 T he nations will see your righteousness, And all kings your glory; And you will be called by a new name Which the mouth of the Lord will designate.

daß die Heiden sehen deine Gerechtigkeit und alle Könige deine Herrlichkeit; und du sollst mit einem neuen Namen genannt werden, welchen des HERRN Mund nennen wird.

3 Y ou will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, And a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

Und du wirst sein eine schöne Krone in der Hand des HERRN und ein königlicher Hut in der Hand deines Gottes.

4 I t will no longer be said to you, “ Forsaken,” Nor to your land will it any longer be said, “ Desolate”; But you will be called, “ My delight is in her,” And your land, “ Married”; For the Lord delights in you, And to Him your land will be married.

Man soll dich nicht mehr die Verlassene noch dein Land eine Verwüstung heißen; sondern du sollst "Meine Lust an ihr" und dein Land "Liebes Weib" heißen: denn der HERR hat Lust an dir und dein Land hat einen lieben Mann.

5 F or as a young man marries a virgin, So your sons will marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So your God will rejoice over you.

Denn wie ein Mann ein Weib liebhat, so werden dich deine Kinder liebhaben; und wie sich ein Bräutigam freut über die Braut, so wird sich dein Gott über dich freuen.

6 O n your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent. You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves;

O Jerusalem, ich will Wächter auf deine Mauern bestellen, die den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht nimmer stillschweigen sollen und die des HERRN gedenken sollen, auf daß bei euch kein Schweigen sei

7 A nd give Him no rest until He establishes And makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

und ihr von ihm nicht schweiget, bis daß Jerusalem zugerichtet und gesetzt werde zum Lobe auf Erden.

8 T he Lord has sworn by His right hand and by His strong arm, “I will never again give your grain as food for your enemies; Nor will foreigners drink your new wine for which you have labored.”

Der HERR hat geschworen bei seiner Rechten und bei dem Arm seiner Macht: Ich will dein Getreide nicht mehr deinen Feinden zu essen geben, noch deinen Most, daran du gearbeitet hast, die Fremden trinken lassen;

9 B ut those who garner it will eat it and praise the Lord; And those who gather it will drink it in the courts of My sanctuary.

sondern die, so es einsammeln, sollen's auch essen und den HERRN rühmen, und die ihn einbringen, sollen ihn trinken in den Vorhöfen meines Heiligtums.

10 G o through, go through the gates, Clear the way for the people; Build up, build up the highway, Remove the stones, lift up a standard over the peoples.

Gehet hin, gehet hin durch die Tore! bereitet dem Volk den Weg! machet Bahn, machet Bahn! räumet die Steine hinweg! werft ein Panier auf über die Völker!

11 B ehold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, Say to the daughter of Zion, “Lo, your salvation comes; Behold His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.”

Siehe, der HERR läßt sich hören bis an der Welt Ende: Saget der Tochter Zion: Siehe, dein Heil kommt! siehe, sein Lohn ist bei ihm, und seine Vergeltung ist vor ihm!

12 A nd they will call them, “ The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord ”; And you will be called, “Sought out, a city not forsaken.”

Man wird sie nennen das heilige Volk, die Erlösten des HERRN, und dich wird man heißen die besuchte und unverlassene Stadt.
