1 M y heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

كَلامٌ حُلوٌ يَملأُ قَلبِي، وَأنا أكتُبُهُ للِمَلِكِ. مِنْ لِسانِي تَتَدَفَّقُ الكَلِماتُ كَما مِنْ قَلَمِ كاتِبٍ مُبدِعٍ.

2 T hou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

فُقْتَ كُلَّ البَشَرِ جَمالاً. وَمِنْ فَمِكَ يَخرُجُ كَلامٌ رائِعٌ! لِهَذا بارَكَكَ اللهُ إلَى الأبَدِ! ضَعْ زِيَّكَ المَجِيدَ!

3 G ird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

تَقَلَّدْ سَيفَكَ عَلَى فَخذِكَ، ما أبهاكَ فِي ثِيابِ الجَلالِ!

4 A nd in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

اركَبْ وَامْضِ إلَى أعْمالِ الحَقِّ وَالنَّصرِ العَظِيمِ! يَمِينُكَ قَدْ تَدَرَّبَتْ عَلَى أعمالٍ مُهِيبَةٍ.

5 T hine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

سِهامُكَ المَسنُونَةُ، تَطِيرُ مُباشَرَةً إلَى قَلبِ أعداءِ المَلِكِ، فَتَتَساقَطُ شُعُوبٌ تَحتَ قَدَمَيكَ.

6 T hy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

عَرشُكَ يا اللهُ باقٍ إلَى أبَدِ الآبِدِينَ، بِصَولَجانِ الاستِقامَةِ سَتَحكُمُ مَملَكَتَكَ.

7 T hou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

أحبَبْتَ البِرَّ، وَكَرِهْتَ الإثمَ. لِهَذا مَسَحَكَ اللهُ إلَهُكَ بِزَيتِ الابتِهاجِ أكثَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ رِفاقِكَ.

8 A ll thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

مِنْ ثِيابِكَ يَفُوحُ المُرُّ وَالصَّبرُ وَالسّنا وَفِي قُصُورٍ مُزَيَّنَةٍ بِالعاجِ يُكَرِّمُكَ العازِفُونَ.

9 K ings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

هُناكَ أمِيراتٌ بَينَ سَيِّداتِ بَلاطِكَ. وَعَنْ يَمِينِكَ تَقِفُ المَلِكَةُ وَعَلَى رَأسِها تاجٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ نَقِيٍّ.

10 H earken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;

أيَّتُها الفَتاةُ العَزِيزَةُ، اسْمَعِينِي. انتَبِهِي وَافهَمِي، انسَيْ شَعبَكِ وَبَيْتَ أبِيكِ.

11 S o shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

فَالمَلِكُ يَشتَهِي جَمالَكِ. هُوَ الآنَ سَيِّدُكِ، فَانحَنِي لَهُ!

12 A nd the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

شَعبُ صُورَ الَّذِي هُوَ أغنَى الشُّعُوبِ، سَيَأتِي بِهَدايا لِيَستَرضِيَ وَجهَكِ.

13 T he king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

بِنْتُ المَلِكِ غايَةٌ فِي البَهاءِ لِباسُها مُزَخْرَفٌ بِالذَّهَبِ.

14 S he shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

تُزَفُّ إلَى المَلِكِ فِي رِدائِها المَنسُوجِ الجَمِيلِ. تَتبَعُها صاحِباتُها العَذارَى اللَّواتِي أُحْضِرْنَ مَعَها.

15 W ith gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

يُحْضَرْنَ بِفَرَحٍ وَابتِهاجٍ لِيَدخُلنَ قَصرَ المَلِكِ.

16 I nstead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

يَكُونُ لَكَ أبناءٌ كَثِيرُونَ يا مَلِكِي وَرَثَةً لِعَرشِ آبائِكَ، يَكُونُونَ أُمَراءَ عَبرَ الأرْضِ.

17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

لأجيالٍ قادِمَةٍ سَأُعَرِّفُ باسمِكَ. فَتُسَبِّحُكَ إلَى الأبَدِ شُعُوبٌ كَثِيرَةٌ.
