1 A nd the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

ثُمَّ قالَ اللهُ لِنُوحَ: «ادخُلْ وَكُلُّ عائِلَتِكَ السَّفِينَةَ، لِأنِّي وَجَدْتُ أنَّكَ وَحدَكَ صالِحٌ أمامِي مِنْ بَينِ كُلِّ الأحياءِ فِي هَذا الجِيلِ.

2 O f every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

فَخُذْ مَعَكَ سَبْعَةَ ذُكُورٍ وَسَبعَ إناثٍ مِنْ كُلِّ حَيوانٍ طاهِرٍ. وَخُذْ أيضاً ذَكَراً واحِداُ وَأُنْثَى واحِدَةً مِنْ كُلِّ حَيوانٍ غَيرِ طاهِرٍ.

3 O f fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

وَخُذْ سَبْعَةَ ذُكُورٍ وَسَبعَ إناثٍ مِنْ كُلِّ نَوْعٍ مِنْ طُيُورِ السَّماءِ، لِكَي تُحافِظَ عَلَى بَقاءِ أنواعِها عَبْرَ الأرْضِ.

4 F or yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

فَبَعْدَ سَبْعَةِ أيّامٍ، سَأُرْسِلُ مَطَراً مُدَّةَ أرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً وَأربَعِينَ لَيلَةً. وَسَأمحُو كُلَّ كائِنٍ حَيٍّ خَلَقْتُهُ عَنْ وَجهِ الأرْضِ.»

5 A nd Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.

فَفَعَلَ نُوحُ كُلَّ ما أمَرَهُ بِهِ اللهُ.

6 A nd Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

وَكانَ لِنُوحَ سِتُّ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ حِينَ غَمَرَتْ مِياهُ الطُّوفانِ الأرْضَ.

7 A nd Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

ثُمَّ دَخَلَ نُوحُ السَّفِينَةَ مَعَ بَنِيهِ وَزَوْجَتِهِ وَكَنّاتِهِ لِلنَّجاةِ مِنْ مِياهِ الطُّوفانِ.

8 O f clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,

وَدَخَلَتْ حَيواناتٌ طاهِرَةٌ وَغَيرُ طاهِرَةٍ وَطُيُورٌ وَزَواحِفُ وَغيرُها مِنْ حَيَواناتِ الأرْضِ،

9 T here went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

إلَى نُوحَ فِي السَّفينَةِ زَوجَينِ زَوجَينِ: ذَكَراً وَأُنْثَىً، حَسَبَ ما أمَرَ اللهُ نُوحَ.

10 A nd it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

وَبَعْدَ سَبْعَةِ أيّامٍ، بَدأ الطُّوفانُ عَلَى الأرْضِ.

11 I n the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

فَفِي السَّنَةِ السِّتِّ مِئَةٍ مِنْ عُمْرِ نُوحَ، فِي اليَوْمِ السّابِعَ عَشَرَ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الثّانِي، انفَجَرَتْ كُلُّ يَنابِيعِ المُحِيطِ العَظِيمِ الَّتِي تَحْتَ الأرْضِ، وَانْفَتَحَتْ نَوافِذُ السَّماءِ!

12 A nd the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

فَهَطَلَ مَطَرٌ غَزِيرٌ جِدّاً عَلَى الأرْضِ مُدَّةَ أربَعِينَ يَوْماً وَأربَعِينَ لَيلَةً.

13 I n the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

وَفِي ذَلِكَ اليَوْمِ نَفْسِهِ، دَخَلَ نُوحُ السَّفِينَةَ مَعَ أبْنائِهِ سامَ وَحامَ وَيافَثَ، وَزَوْجَتِهِ، وَزَوجَاتِ أبْنائِهِ الثَّلاثِ.

14 T hey, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.

دَخَلَ هَؤُلاءِ مَعَ كُلِّ نَوْعٍ مِنَ الحَيواناتِ البَرِّيَّةِ، وَكُلِّ نَوْعٍ مِنَ المَواشِيَ، وَكُلِّ نَوْعٍ مِنَ الحَيَواناتِ الزّاحِفَةِ عَلَى التُّرابِ، وَكُلِّ نَوْعٍ مِنَ الطُّيُورِ.

15 A nd they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.

جاءَتْ إلَى نُوحَ فِي السَّفِينَةِ أزواجاً مِنْ كُلِّ نَوْعٍ مِنَ الحَيواناتِ الحَيَّةِ.

16 A nd they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.

وَكانَتْ هَذِهِ الحَيواناتُ الدّاخِلَةُ، ذَكَراً وَأُنثَى، مِنْ كُلِّ نَوْعٍ كَما أمَرَهُ اللهُ. ثُمَّ أغلَقَ اللهُ البابَ خَلْفَ نُوحَ.

17 A nd the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

وَبَقِيَ الطُّوفانُ عَلَى الأرْضِ أربَعِينَ يَوْماً. وَارتَفَعَتِ المِياهُ كَثيراً جِدّاً فَوْقَ الأرْضِ، فَحَمَلَتِ السَّفينَةَ فَارتَفَعَتْ فَوقَ الأرْضِ.

18 A nd the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

وَاسْتَمَرَّ الماءُ يَرْتَفِعُ وَيَتَكاثَرُ جِدّاً فَوْقَ الأرْضِ. وَطَافَتِ السَّفِينَةُ عَلَى وَجْهِ المِياهِ.

19 A nd the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

وَارتَفَعَتِ المِياهُ أكثَرَ فَأكثَرَ فَوْقَ الأرْضِ حَتَّى غَطَّتْ كُلَّ الجِبالِ العالِيَةِ تَحْتَ السَّماءِ.

20 F ifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

تَعالَتِ المِياهُ حَتَّى غَطَّتْ قِمَمَ الجِبالِ بِأكْثَرَ مِنْ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ ذِراعاً.

21 A nd all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

فَماتَ كُلُّ مَخلُوقٍ يَتَحَرَّكُ عَلَى الأرْضِ. ماتَتِ الطُّيُورُ وَالمَواشِي وَالحَيواناتُ البَرِّيَّةُ وَكُلُّ أسْرابِ الكائناتِ الَّتِي كانَتْ تَحْتَشِدُ عَلَى الأرْضِ وَجَمِيعُ البَشَرِ.

22 A ll in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

ماتَ كُلُّ مَخلُوقٍ حَيٍّ يَتَنَفَّسُ عَلَى اليابِسَةِ.

23 A nd every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

وَهَكَذا مَحا اللهُ كُلَّ شَيءٍ حَيٍّ عَنْ وَجهِ الأرْضِ، بَشَراً وَحَيواناتٍ وَزَواحِفَ وَطُيُوراً. مُحِيَتْ كُلُّها عَنْ وَجْهِ الأرْضِ. وَلَمْ يَنْجُ إلّا نُوحُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ فِي السَّفِينَةِ.

24 A nd the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

وَغَمَرَتِ المِياهُ الأرْضَ مُدَّةَ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسِينَ يَوْماً.
