1 I n the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a thing is revealed to Daniel, whose name is called Belteshazzar, and the thing true, and the warfare great: and he hath understood the thing, and hath understanding about the appearance.

Sannaddii saddexaad oo boqorkii Faaris oo Kuuros ahaa ayaa wax loo muujiyey Daanyeel, oo magiciisa la odhan jiray Beelteshaasar; waxaasuna run buu ahaa, oo weliba dagaal weyn buu ahaa xaalkii wuu gartay, garashuuna u lahaa wixii la tusay.

2 ` In those days, I, Daniel, have been mourning three weeks of days;

Waayahaas anigan Daanyeel ahu saddex toddobaad oo dhan ayaan barooranayay.

3 d esirable bread I have not eaten, and flesh and wine hath not come in unto my mouth, and I have not anointed myself at all, till the completion of three weeks of days.

Cunto wanaagsan ma aan cunin, hilib iyo khamrina afkayga ma gelin, mana subkan marnaba ilaa ay saddexdii toddobaad dhammaadeen.

4 ` And in the twenty and fourth day of the first month, I have been by the side of the great river, that Hiddekel:

Oo bishii kowaad maalinteedii afar iyo labaatanaad, anoo taagan webiga weyn oo Xiddeqel ah agtiisa,

5 a nd I lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, a certain one clothed in linen, and his loins girt with pure gold of Uphaz,

ayaan indhahayga kor u qaaday, oo wax fiiriyey, markaasaan arkay nin dhar wanaagsan qaba, oo dahab saafi ah oo Uufaas laga keenayaa dhexda ugu xidhan yahay;

6 a nd his body as a beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet as the aspect of bright brass, and the voice of his words as the voice of a multitude.

jidhkiisuna wuxuu u ekaa berullos, wejigiisuna wuxuu u ekaa hillaac, indhihiisuna waxay u ekaayeen laambado dab ah, gacmihiisa iyo cagihiisuna waxay midabka uga ekaayeen naxaas la safeeyey, codkiisuna wuxuu u ekaa dad faro badan buuqood.

7 ` And I have seen -- I, Daniel, by myself -- the appearance: and the men who have been with me have not seen the appearance, but a great trembling hath fallen on them, and they flee to be hidden;

Oo anigaan Daanyeel ah oo keliya ayaa wixii lay tusay arkay, waayo, nimankii ila socday ma ay arkin wixii lay tusay, maxaa yeelay, aad bay u gariireen, wayna carareen si ay u dhuuntaan.

8 a nd I have been left by myself, and I see this great appearance, and there hath been no power left in me, and my honour hath been turned in me to corruption, yea, I have not retained power.

Oo sidaasaa keligay layga tegey, oo waxaan arkay waxan weyn ee lay tusay, oo xoogna iguma hadhin, quruxdaydiina waxay u rogmatay qudhun, markaasaan xoog iska waayay.

9 ` And I hear the voice of his words, and when I hear the voice of his words, then I have been in a trance on my face, and my face to the earth;

Oo codkiisiina waan maqlay, oo markaan maqlay codkiisii ayaan hurdo culus wejiga ula dhacay, wejigana dhulkaan saaray.

10 a nd lo, a hand hath come against me, and shaketh me on my knees and the palms of my hands.

Oo bal eeg, markaasaa gacanu i taabatay, oo jilbaha iyo calaacalaha igu joojisay.

11 ` And he saith unto me: Daniel, man greatly desired, attend to the words that I am speaking unto thee, and stand on thy station, for now I have been sent unto thee. `And when he speaketh with me this word, I have stood trembling.

Oo wuxuu igu yidhi, Daanyeelow, ninka aad loo jecelyahayow, bal garo erayada aan kugula hadlayo, oo istaag, waayo, hadda adaa lay soo kaa diray, oo markuu hadalkaas igula hadlay ayaan istaagay anigoo gariiraya.

12 A nd he saith unto me: Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that thou didst give thy heart to understand, and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words have been heard, and I have come because of thy words.

Markaasuu igu yidhi, Ha cabsan, Daanyeelow, waayo, maalintii ugu horraysay oo aad qalbigaaga gelisay inaad wax garato oo aad isku hoosaysiiso Ilaah hortiis ayaa erayadaadii la maqlay, oo anigu waxaan u imid erayadaadii aawadood.

13 ` And the head of the kingdom of Persia is standing over-against me twenty and one days, and lo, Michael, first of the chief heads, hath come in to help me, and I have remained there near the kings of Persia;

Laakiinse boqortooyada Faaris amiirkeedii ayaa kow iyo labaatan maalmood iga hor joogsaday, laakiinse Mikaa'iil, oo ah amiirrada sare midkood, ayaa ii yimid inuu i caawiyo, oo halkaasaan kula hadhay boqorradii reer Faaris.

14 a nd I have come to cause thee to understand that which doth happen to thy people in the latter end of the days, for yet the vision after days.

Haddaba waxaan u imid inaan ku ogeysiiyo waxa dadkaaga ku dhici doona ugu dambaysta, waayo, wixii lagu tusay weli maalmo badan baa ka hadhay.

15 ` And when he speaketh with me about these things, I have set my face toward the earth, and have been silent;

Oo markuu igula hadlay erayada sidan ah ayaan xagga dhulka u jeestay, waanan hadli kari waayay.

16 a nd lo, as the manner of the sons of men, he is striking against my lips, and I open my mouth, and I speak, and say unto him who is standing over-against me: My lord, by the appearance turned have been my pangs against me, and I have retained no power.

Oo bal eeg, mid binu-aadmiga u ekaa ayaa bushimahayga taabtay: markaasaan afka kala qaaday, oo hadlay, oo waxaan ku idhi kii hor taagnaa, Sayidkaygiiyow, riyada sababteeda aawadeed ayaa caloolxumadaydii igu soo noqotay, xoogna waan iska waayay.

17 A nd how is the servant of this my lord able to speak with this my lord? as for me, henceforth there remaineth in me no power, yea, breath hath not been left in me.

Anoo addoonkaaga ahu sidee baan kuula hadli karaa, sayidkaygiiyow? Imminka aniga xoog iguma hadhin, neefuna iguma jirto.

18 ` And he addeth, and striketh against me, as the appearance of a man, and strengtheneth me,

Markaasaa haddana waxaa i taabtay mid binu-aadmiga u eg, wuuna i xoogeeyey.

19 a nd he saith: Do not fear, O man greatly desired, peace to thee, be strong, yea, be strong; and when he speaketh with me, I have strengthened myself, and I say, Let my lord speak, for thou hast strengthened me.

Markaasuu igu yidhi, Ninkii aad loo jeclaayow, ha cabsan, nabadu ha kuu ahaato, xoog yeelo, oo xoog yeelo. Oo markuu ila hadlay ayaan xoogaystay, oo waxaan idhi, Sayidkaygiiyow, hadal, waayo, waad i xoogaysay.

20 A nd he saith, Hast thou known why I have come unto thee? and now I turn back to fight with the head of Persia; yea, I am going forth, and lo, the head of Javan hath come;

Markaasuu igu yidhi, Haddaba ma og tahay waxa aan kuugu imid wuxuu yahay? Oo hadda waxaan u noqonayaa inaan la diriro amiirka reer Faaris, oo markaan tago waxaa iman doona amiirkii dalka Gariigta.

21 b ut I declare to thee that which is noted down in the Writing of Truth, and there is not one strengthening himself with me, concerning these, except Michael your head.
