1 H appy are those whose way is without blame, who walk in the Law of the Lord.

Blessed are they that are perfect in the way, Who walk in the law of Jehovah.

2 H appy are those who keep His Law and look for Him with all their heart.

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, That seek him with the whole heart.

3 T hey also do not sin, but walk in His ways.

Yea, they do no unrighteousness; They walk in his ways.

4 Y ou have set down Laws that we should always obey.

Thou hast commanded us thy precepts, That we should observe them diligently.

5 O , that my ways may be always in keeping with Your Law!

Oh that my ways were established To observe thy statutes!

6 T hen I will not be put to shame when I respect Your Word.

Then shall I not be put to shame, When I have respect unto all thy commandments.

7 I will praise You with a heart that is right when I learn how right You judge.

I will give thanks unto thee with uprightness of heart, When I learn thy righteous judgments.

8 I will obey Your Law. Do not leave me all alone.

I will observe thy statutes: Oh forsake me not utterly. BETH.

9 H ow can a young man keep his way pure? By living by Your Word.

Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word.

10 I have looked for You with all my heart. Do not let me turn from Your Law.

With my whole heart have I sought thee: Oh let me not wander from thy commandments.

11 Y our Word have I hid in my heart, that I may not sin against You.

Thy word have I laid up in my heart, That I might not sin against thee.

12 G reat and honored are You, O Lord. Teach me Your Law.

Blessed art thou, O Jehovah: Teach me thy statutes.

13 I have told with my lips of all the Laws of Your mouth.

With my lips have I declared All the ordinances of thy mouth.

14 I have found as much joy in following Your Law as one finds in much riches.

I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, As much as in all riches.

15 I will think about Your Law and have respect for Your ways.

I will meditate on thy precepts, And have respect unto thy ways.

16 I will be glad in Your Law. I will not forget Your Word.

I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. GIMEL.

17 D o good to Your servant so I may live and obey Your Word.

Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live; So will I observe thy word.

18 O pen my eyes so that I may see great things from Your Law.

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold Wondrous things out of thy law.

19 I am a stranger on the earth. Do not hide Your Word from me.

I am a sojourner in the earth: Hide not thy commandments from me.

20 M y soul is crushed with a desire for Your Law at all times.

My soul breaketh for the longing That it hath unto thine ordinances at all times.

21 Y ou speak sharp words to the proud, the hated ones, because they turn from Your Word.

Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, That do wander from thy commandments.

22 T ake away shame and bad feelings from me, for I have kept Your Law.

Take away from me reproach and contempt; For I have kept thy testimonies.

23 E ven if rulers sit together and speak against me, Your servant thinks about Your Law.

Princes also sat and talked against me; But thy servant did meditate on thy statutes.

24 Y our Law is my joy and it tells me what to do.

Thy testimonies also are my delight And my counsellors. DALETH.

25 M y soul is laid in the dust. Give me new life because of Your Word.

My soul cleaveth unto the dust: Quicken thou me according to thy word.

26 I have told about my ways, and You have answered me. Teach me Your Law.

I declared my ways, and thou answeredst me: Teach me thy statutes.

27 M ake me understand the way of Your Law so I will talk about Your great works.

Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: So shall I meditate on thy wondrous works.

28 M y soul cries because of sorrow. Give me strength because of Your Word.

My soul melteth for heaviness: Strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

29 T ake the false way from me. Show Your loving-favor by giving me Your Law.

Remove from me the way of falsehood; And grant me thy law graciously.

30 I have chosen the faithful way. I have set Your Law in front of me.

I have chosen the way of faithfulness: Thine ordinances have I set before me.

31 I hold on to Your Law, O Lord. Do not put me to shame.

I cleave unto thy testimonies: O Jehovah, put me not to shame.

32 I will run the way of Your Law, for You will give me a willing heart.

I will run the way of thy commandments, When thou shalt enlarge my heart. HE.

33 O Lord, teach me the way of Your Law and I will obey it to the end.

Teach me, O Jehovah, the way of thy statutes; And I shall keep it unto the end.

34 G ive me understanding. Then I will listen to Your Word and obey it with all my heart.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

35 M ake me walk in the path of Your Word, for I find joy in it.

Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; For therein do I delight.

36 T urn my heart toward Your Law, so I will not earn money in a wrong way.

Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, And not to covetousness.

37 T urn my eyes away from things that have no worth, and give me new life because of Your ways.

Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity, And quicken me in thy ways.

38 K eep Your promise to Your servant, the promise You made to those who fear and worship You.

Confirm unto thy servant thy word, Which is in order unto the fear of thee.

39 T urn away the shame that I do not want to come to me, for Your Law is good.

Turn away my reproach whereof I am afraid; For thine ordinances are good.

40 O , how I desire Your Law! Give me new life because of Your right and good way.

Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: Quicken me in thy righteousness. VAV.

41 M ay Your loving-kindness also come to me, O Lord. May You save me as Your Word says.

Let thy lovingkindnesses also come unto me, O Jehovah, Even thy salvation, according to thy word.

42 T hen I will have an answer for the one who puts me to shame, for I trust in Your Word.

So shall I have an answer for him that reproacheth me; For I trust in thy word.

43 D o not take the word of truth out of my mouth, for I hope in Your Law.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; For I have hoped in thine ordinances.

44 I will always obey Your Law, forever and ever.

So shall I observe thy law continually For ever and ever.

45 I will walk as a free man, for I look for Your Law.

And I shall walk at liberty; For I have sought thy precepts.

46 I will speak of Your Law in front of kings and will not be ashamed.

I will also speak of thy testimonies before kings, And shall not be put to shame.

47 I will be glad in Your Law, which I love.

And I will delight myself in thy commandments, Which I have loved.

48 I will lift up my hands to Your Word, which I love, and I will think about Your Law.

I will lift up my hands also unto thy commandments, which I have loved; And I will meditate on thy statutes. ZAYIN.

49 R emember Your Word to Your servant, for You have given me hope.

Remember the word unto thy servant, Because thou hast made me to hope.

50 Y our Word has given me new life. This is my comfort in my suffering.

This is my comfort in my affliction; For thy word hath quickened me.

51 T he proud always laugh at me, but I do not turn away from Your Law.

The proud have had me greatly in derision: Yet have I not swerved from thy law.

52 I have remembered Your Law from a long time ago, O Lord, and I am comforted.

I have remembered thine ordinances of old, O Jehovah, And have comforted myself.

53 B urning anger comes upon me because of the sinful who turn away from Your Law.

Hot indignation hath taken hold upon me, Because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

54 Y our Laws are my songs in whatever house I stay.

Thy statutes have been my songs In the house of my pilgrimage.

55 I remember Your name in the night, O Lord, and I have kept Your Law.

I have remembered thy name, O Jehovah, in the night, And have observed thy law.

56 I t has become my way to obey Your Law.

This I have had, Because I have kept thy precepts. HHETH.

57 T he Lord is my share. I have promised to obey Your Word.

Jehovah is my portion: I have said that I would observe thy words.

58 I begged for Your favor with all my heart. Show me Your love because of Your Word.

I entreated thy favor with my whole heart: Be merciful unto me according to thy word.

59 I thought about my ways and turned my steps to Your Law.

I thought on my ways, And turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

60 I hurried and did not wait to obey Your Law.

I made haste, and delayed not, To observe thy commandments.

61 T he ropes of the sinful are all around me, but I have not forgotten Your Law.

The cords of the wicked have wrapped me round; But I have not forgotten thy law.

62 I will rise late in the night to give thanks to You because Your Law is right and good.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee Because of thy righteous ordinances.

63 I am a friend to all who fear You and of those who keep Your Law.

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, And of them that observe thy precepts.

64 T he earth is full of Your loving-kindness, O Lord. Teach me Your Law.

The earth, O Jehovah, is full of thy lovingkindness: Teach me thy statutes. TETH.

65 Y ou have done good to Your servant, O Lord, because of Your Word.

Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Jehovah, according unto thy word.

66 T each me what I should know to be right and fair for I believe in Your Law.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge; For I have believed in thy commandments.

67 B efore I suffered I went the wrong way, but now I obey Your Word.

Before I was afflicted I went astray; But now I observe thy word.

68 Y ou are good and You do good. Teach me Your Law.

Thou art good, and doest good; Teach me thy statutes.

69 T he proud have put together a lie against me. I will keep Your Law with all my heart.

The proud have forged a lie against me: With my whole heart will I keep thy precepts.

70 T heir heart is covered with fat, but I find joy in Your Law.

Their heart is as fat as grease; But I delight in thy law.

71 I t is good for me that I was troubled, so that I might learn Your Law.

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; That I may learn thy statutes.

72 T he Law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

The law of thy mouth is better unto me Than thousands of gold and silver. YODH.

73 Y our hands made me and put me together. Give me understanding to learn Your Law.

Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

74 M ay those who fear You see me and be glad, for I have put my hope in Your Word.

They that fear thee shall see me and be glad, Because I have hoped in thy word.

75 O Lord, I know that what You decide is right and good. You punish me because You are faithful.

I know, O Jehovah, that thy judgments are righteous, And that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.

76 M ay Your loving-kindness comfort me because of Your promise to Your servant.

Let, I pray thee, thy lovingkindness be for my comfort, According to thy word unto thy servant.

77 L et Your loving-pity come to me so I may live. For Your Law is my joy.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; For thy law is my delight.

78 M ay the proud be ashamed, because they do wrong to me for no reason, but I will think about Your Law.

Let the proud be put to shame; For they have overthrown me wrongfully: But I will meditate on thy precepts.

79 M ay those who fear You and those who know Your Law turn to me.

Let those that fear thee turn unto me; And they shall know thy testimonies.

80 L et my heart be without blame in Your Law. Do not let me be put to shame.

Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes, That I be not put to shame. KAPH.

81 M y soul becomes weak with desire for Your saving power, but I have put my hope in Your Word.

My soul fainteth for thy salvation; But I hope in thy word.

82 M y eyes become weak with desire for Your Word. I say, “When will You comfort me?”

Mine eyes fail for thy word, While I say, When wilt thou comfort me?

83 I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, but I do not forget Your Law.

For I am become like a wine-skin in the smoke; Yet do I not forget thy statutes.

84 H ow long must Your servant wait? When will You punish those who make it hard for me?

How many are the days of thy servant? When wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

85 T he proud have dug deep holes for me. They do not obey Your Law.

The proud have digged pits for me, Who are not according to thy law.

86 A ll of Your Word is faithful. Help me! For they have made it hard for me with a lie.

All thy commandments are faithful: They persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

87 T hey almost destroyed me on the earth, but I did not turn away from Your Law.

They had almost consumed me upon earth; But I forsook not thy precepts. LAMEDH.

88 G ive me life again by Your loving-kindness, and I will keep the Word of Your mouth.

Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; So shall I observe the testimony of thy mouth.

89 F orever, O Lord, Your Word will never change in heaven.

For ever, O Jehovah, Thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Y ou are faithful to all people for all time. You have made the earth, and it stands.

Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

91 T hey stand today by Your Law, for all things serve You.

They abide this day according to thine ordinances; For all things are thy servants.

92 I would have been lost in my troubles if Your Law had not been my joy.

Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

93 I will never forget Your Word for by it You have given me new life.

I will never forget thy precepts; For with them thou hast quickened me.

94 I am Yours. Save me, for I have looked to Your Law.

I am thine, save me; For I have sought thy precepts.

95 T he sinful wait to destroy me, but I will think about Your Word.

The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me; But I will consider thy testimonies. MEM.

96 I have seen that all things have an end, even if they are perfect, but Your Word is without end.

I have seen an end of all perfection; But thy commandment is exceeding broad.

97 O , how I love Your Law! It is what I think about all through the day.

Oh how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.

98 Y our Word makes me wiser than those who hate me, for it is always with me.

Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; For they are ever with me.

99 I have better understanding than all my teachers because I think about Your Law.

I have more understanding than all my teachers; For thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 I have a better understanding than those who are old because I obey Your Word.

I understand more than the aged, Because I have kept thy precepts.

101 I have kept my feet from every sinful way so that I may keep Your Word.

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, That I might observe thy word.

102 I have not turned away from Your Law, for You Yourself have taught me.

I have not turned aside from thine ordinances; For thou hast taught me.

103 H ow sweet is Your Word to my taste! It is sweeter than honey to my mouth!

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104 I get understanding from Your Law and so I hate every false way.

Through thy precepts I get understanding: Therefore I hate every false way. NUN.

105 Y our Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path.

106 I have promised that I will keep Your Law. And I will add strength to this promise.

I have sworn, and have confirmed it, That I will observe thy righteous ordinances.

107 I am in much suffering. O Lord, give me life again by Your Word.

I am afflicted very much: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according unto thy word.

108 T ake my willing gift of thanks, O Lord, and teach me Your Law.

Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, O Jehovah, And teach me thine ordinances.

109 M y life is always in my hand, yet I do not forget Your Law.

My soul is continually in my hand; Yet do I not forget thy law.

110 T he sinful have set a trap for me, yet I have not turned from Your Law.

The wicked have laid a snare for me; Yet have I not gone astray from thy precepts.

111 I have been given Your Law forever. It is the joy of my heart.

Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; For they are the rejoicing of my heart.

112 I have set my heart on obeying Your Law forever, even to the end.

I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes For ever, even unto the end. SAMEKH.

113 I hate those who have two ways of thinking, but I love Your Law.

I hate them that are of a double mind; But thy law do I love.

114 Y ou are my hiding place and my battle-covering. I put my hope in Your Word.

Thou art my hiding-place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

115 G o away from me, you who do wrong, so I may keep the Word of my God.

Depart from me, ye evil-doers, That I may keep the commandments of my God.

116 H old me up by Your Word and I will live. Do not let me be ashamed of my hope.

Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live; And let me not be ashamed of my hope.

117 H old me up so I will be safe, and I will always have respect for Your Law.

Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe, And shall have respect unto thy statutes continually.

118 Y ou turn away from all those who turn from Your Law. They fool themselves with their own lying.

Thou hast set at nought all them that err from thy statutes; For their deceit is falsehood.

119 Y ou put away like waste all the sinful of the earth, so I love Your Law.

Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: Therefore I love thy testimonies.

120 M y flesh shakes in fear of You, and I am afraid of how You may punish.

My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; And I am afraid of thy judgments. AYIN.

121 I have done what is fair and right. Do not leave me to those who would make it hard for me.

I have done justice and righteousness: Leave me not to mine oppressors.

122 P romise that You will bring good to Your servant. Do not let the proud make it hard for me.

Be surety for thy servant for good: Let not the proud oppress me.

123 M y eyes become weak with desire for Your saving power and for Your Word that is right and good.

Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, And for thy righteous word.

124 A ct in Your loving-kindness toward Your servant, and teach me Your Laws.

Deal with thy servant according unto thy lovingkindness, And teach me thy statutes.

125 I am Your servant. Give me understanding so I may know Your Law.

I am thy servant; give me understanding, That I may know thy testimonies.

126 I t is time for You to work, Lord, for they have broken Your Law.

It is time for Jehovah to work; For they have made void thy law.

127 I love Your Word more than gold, more than pure gold.

Therefore I love thy commandments Above gold, yea, above fine gold.

128 A nd so I look upon all of Your Law as right. I hate every false way.

Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; And I hate every false way. PE.

129 Y our Laws are wonderful, and so I obey them.

Thy testimonies are wonderful; Therefore doth my soul keep them.

130 T he opening up of Your Word gives light. It gives understanding to the child-like.

The opening of thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple.

131 I opened my mouth wide, breathing with desire for Your Law.

I opened wide my mouth, and panted; For I longed for thy commandments.

132 T urn to me and show me loving-favor, as You always do to those who love Your name.

Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me, As thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

133 S et my steps in Your Word. Do not let sin rule over me.

Establish my footsteps in thy word; And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

134 S et me free from the power of man, and I will obey Your Law.

Redeem me from the oppression of man: So will I observe thy precepts.

135 M ake Your face shine upon Your servant and teach me Your Law.

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; And teach me thy statutes.

136 T ears flow from my eyes because of those who do not keep Your Law.

Streams of water run down mine eyes, Because they observe not thy law. TSADHE.

137 Y ou are right and good, O Lord, and Your Law is right.

Righteous art thou, O Jehovah, And upright are thy judgments.

138 T he Law You have made is right and good and very faithful.

Thou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness And very faithfulness.

139 I feel weak because those who hate me have forgotten Your Word.

My zeal hath consumed me, Because mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.

140 Y our Word is very pure and Your servant loves it.

Thy word is very pure; Therefore thy servant loveth it.

141 I am not important and I am hated but I do not forget Your Law.

I am small and despised; Yet do I not forget thy precepts.

142 Y ou are right forever, and Your Law is truth.

Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And thy law is truth.

143 T rouble and suffering have come upon me, yet Your Word is my joy.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me; Yet thy commandments are my delight.

144 Y our Law is right forever. Give me understanding and I will live.

Thy testimonies are righteous for ever: Give me understanding, and I shall live. QOPH.

145 I cried with all my heart. Answer me, O Lord! I will keep Your Law.

I have called with my whole heart; answer me, O Jehovah: I will keep thy statutes.

146 I cried to You. Save me, and I will keep Your Word.

I have called unto thee; save me, And I shall observe thy testimonies.

147 I rise before the morning comes and cry for help. I have put my hope in Your Word.

I anticipated the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy words.

148 M y eyes wait for the night hours, so I may think about Your Word.

Mine eyes anticipated the night-watches, That I might meditate on thy word.

149 H ear my voice because of Your loving-kindness. O Lord, give me new life again because of Your Law.

Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thine ordinances.

150 T hose who follow sinful ways come near. But they are far from Your Law.

They draw nigh that follow after wickedness; They are far from thy law.

151 Y ou are near, O Lord. And all of Your Word is truth.

Thou art nigh, O Jehovah; And all thy commandments are truth.

152 I learned from Your Law long ago that You made it to last forever.

Of old have I known from thy testimonies, That thou hast founded them for ever. RESH.

153 L ook upon my suffering and take me from it. For I do not forget Your Law.

Consider mine affliction, and deliver me; For I do not forget thy law.

154 S tand by me and set me free. Give me life again because of Your Word.

Plead thou my cause, and redeem me: Quicken me according to thy word.

155 Y our saving help is far from the sinful, for they do not look to Your Law.

Salvation is far from the wicked; For they seek not thy statutes.

156 Y our loving-kindness is great, O Lord. Give me life again because of Your Law.

Great are thy tender mercies, O Jehovah: Quicken me according to thine ordinances.

157 T here are many who hate me and make it hard for me. Yet I do not turn from Your Law.

Many are my persecutors and mine adversaries; Yet have I not swerved from thy testimonies.

158 I look with hate on those who cannot be trusted, because they do not keep Your Word.

I beheld the treacherous, and was grieved, Because they observe not thy word.

159 T hink about how I love Your Law. Give me life again, O Lord, because of Your loving-kindness.

Consider how I love thy precepts: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thy lovingkindness.

160 A ll of Your Word is truth, and every one of Your laws, which are always right, will last forever.

The sum of thy word is truth; And every one of thy righteous ordinances endureth for ever. SHIN.

161 R ulers make it hard for me for no reason, but my heart honors Your Words with fear.

Princes have persecuted me without a cause; But my heart standeth in awe of thy words.

162 I am made happy by Your Word, like one who finds great riches.

I rejoice at thy word, As one that findeth great spoil.

163 I hate what is false, but I love Your Law.

I hate and abhor falsehood; But thy law do I love.

164 I praise You seven times a day, because Your Law is right.

Seven times a day do I praise thee, Because of thy righteous ordinances.

165 T hose who love Your Law have great peace, and nothing will cause them to be hurt in their spirit.

Great peace have they that love thy law; And they have no occasion of stumbling.

166 I hope for Your saving power, O Lord, and I follow Your Word.

I have hoped for thy salvation, O Jehovah, And have done thy commandments.

167 I obey Your Law, for I love it very much.

My soul hath observed thy testimonies; And I love them exceedingly.

168 I obey Your Word and Laws, for You know all my ways.

I have observed thy precepts and thy testimonies; For all my ways are before thee. TAV.

169 L et my cry come to You, O Lord. Give me understanding because of Your Word.

Let my cry come near before thee, O Jehovah: Give me understanding according to thy word.

170 L et my prayer come to You. Help me because of Your Word.

Let my supplication come before thee: Deliver me according to thy word.

171 M ay praise come from my lips, for You teach me Your Law.

Let my lips utter praise; For thou teachest me thy statutes.

172 M ay my tongue sing about Your Word, for all of Your Word is right and good.

Let my tongue sing of thy word; For all thy commandments are righteousness.

173 M ay Your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen Your Law.

Let thy hand be ready to help me; For I have chosen thy precepts.

174 I have much desire for Your saving power, O Lord. Your Law is my joy.

I have longed for thy salvation, O Jehovah; And thy law is my delight.

175 L et me live so I may praise You, and let Your Law help me.

Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; And let thine ordinances help me.

176 I have gone from the way like a lost sheep. Look for Your servant, for I do not forget Your Word.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; Seek thy servant; For I do not forget thy commandments.
