Psalm 13 ~ Psalm 13

1 H ow long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

2 H ow long must I plan what to do in my soul, and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long will those who hate me rise above me?

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

3 L ook on me and answer, O Lord, my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death.

Consider and answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

4 O r the one who hates me will say, “I have power over him.” And those who hate me will be happy when I am shaken.

Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; Lest mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

5 B ut I have trusted in Your loving-kindness. My heart will be full of joy because You will save me.

But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

6 I will sing to the Lord, because He has been good to me.

I will sing unto Jehovah, Because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
