4 V ery large men were on the earth in those days, and later also, when the sons of God lived with the daughters of men, who gave birth to their children. These were the powerful men of long ago, men of much strength.

14 M ake a large boat of gopher wood for yourself. Build rooms in the boat. And cover it inside and out with tar.
Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 T his is how you are to make it: The boat is to be as long as 150 long steps, as wide as twenty-five long steps, and eight times taller than a man.
And this is how thou shalt make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 M ake a window for the boat, that goes down a cubit from the roof. Put a door in the side of the boat. And make it with first, second, and third floors.

18 B ut I will make My agreement with you. You will go into the large boat, you and your sons and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
But I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
19 Y ou are to bring into the large boat two of every kind of living thing of all flesh, to keep them alive with you. They will be male and female.
And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20 T wo of all the kinds of birds, and animals, and every thing that moves on the ground are to be with you to keep them alive.
Of the birds after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21 A nd take with you every kind of food that is eaten, and store it. It will be food for you and for them.”
