1 م ِنْ أعماقِ ضِيقِي استَغَثتُ بِكَ يا اللهُ.

Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord.

2 ي ا رَبُّ، اسْمَعْ صَوتِي! أعطِ آذاناً صاغِيَةً لِتَضَرُّعاتِي.

Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.

3 إ نْ حاسَبْتَنا يا اللهُ عَلَى كُلِّ آثامِنا، فَمَنِ يَصمِدُ أمامَكَ يا رَبُّ؟

If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

4 ل َكِنَّنا نَعرِفُ أنَّ المَغفِرَةَ هِيَ مِنْ عِندِكَ. لِذَلِكَ نَتَّقِيكَ.

But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.

5 أ نا فِي انتِظارِ اللهِ. نَفسِي تَنتَظِرُهُ، وَتَنْتَظِرُ كَلامَهُ وَتَضَعُ رَجاءَها فِيهِ.

I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope.

6 ك َحارِسٍ يَنتَظِرُ الفَجرَ أنتَظِرُ الرَّبَّ، أنتَظِرُ كَلامَهُ كَحارِسٍ يَنتَظِرُ الفَجرَ.

My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.

7 ا نتَظِرْ، يا إسرائِيلُ، اللهَ. لأنَّ المَحَبَّةَ هِيَ عِندَ اللهِ وَحدَهُ، هُوَ يُخَلِّصُ مَرَّةً بَعدَ مَرَّةٍ.

O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption.

8 و َسَيُخَلِّصُ إسرائِيلَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَطاياهُ.

And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
