1 G ive unto Jehovah, ye sons of the mighty ones, give unto Jehovah glory and strength;

¶ Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

2 G ive unto Jehovah the glory of his name; worship Jehovah in holy splendour.

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

3 T he voice of Jehovah is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth,—Jehovah upon great waters.

The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thunders: the LORD is upon many waters.

4 T he voice of Jehovah is powerful; the voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.

5 T he voice of Jehovah breaketh cedars; yea, Jehovah breaketh the cedars of Lebanon:

The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; yea, the LORD broke the cedars of Lebanon.

6 A nd he maketh them to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young buffalo.

And He made them skip like a calves; Lebanon and Sirion like the sons of the unicorns.

7 T he voice of Jehovah cleaveth out flames of fire.

The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire.

8 T he voice of Jehovah shaketh the wilderness; Jehovah shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the LORD that shall shake the wilderness; the LORD shall shake the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 T he voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to calve, and layeth bare the forests; and in his temple doth every one say, Glory!

The voice of the LORD shall make the hinds to calve and shall uncover the forests: and in his temple every one speaks to his glory.

10 J ehovah sitteth upon the flood; yea, Jehovah sitteth as king for ever.

The LORD sits upon the flood; yea, the LORD sat down as King for ever.

11 J ehovah will give strength unto his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people in peace.
