1 A nd Bezaleel maketh the ark of shittim wood, two cubits and a half its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height;

Now Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; its length was two and a half cubits, and its width one and a half cubits, and its height one and a half cubits;

2 a nd he overlayeth it with pure gold within and without, and maketh for it a wreath of gold round about;

and he overlaid it with pure gold inside and out, and made a gold molding for it all around.

3 a nd he casteth for it four rings of gold, on its four feet, even two rings on its one side, and two rings on its second side;

He cast four rings of gold for it on its four feet; even two rings on one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.

4 a nd he maketh staves of shittim wood, and overlayeth them with gold,

He made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.

5 a nd he bringeth in the staves into the rings, by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.

He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry it.

6 A nd he maketh a mercy-seat of pure gold, two cubits and a half its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth;

He made a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.

7 a nd he maketh two cherubs of gold, of beaten work he hath made them, at the two ends of the mercy-seat;

He made two cherubim of gold; he made them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat;

8 o ne cherub at the end on this, and one cherub at the end on that, out of the mercy-seat he hath made the cherubs, at its two ends;

one cherub at the one end and one cherub at the other end; he made the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at the two ends.

9 a nd the cherubs are spreading out wings on high, covering over the mercy-seat with their wings, and their faces one towards another; towards the mercy-seat have the faces of the cherubs been.

The cherubim had their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward each other; the faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.

10 A nd he maketh the table of shittim wood; two cubits its length, and a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height,

Then he made the table of acacia wood, two cubits long and a cubit wide and one and a half cubits high.

11 a nd overlayeth it with pure gold, and maketh for it a wreath of gold round about.

He overlaid it with pure gold, and made a gold molding for it all around.

12 A nd he maketh for it a border of a handbreadth round about, and maketh a wreath of gold for its border round about;

He made a rim for it of a handbreadth all around, and made a gold molding for its rim all around.

13 a nd he casteth for it four rings of gold, and putteth the rings on the four corners which to its four feet;

He cast four gold rings for it and put the rings on the four corners that were on its four feet.

14 o ver-against the border have the rings been, places for staves to bear the table.

Close by the rim were the rings, the holders for the poles to carry the table.

15 A nd he maketh the staves of shittim wood, and overlayeth them with gold, to bear the table;

He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table.

16 a nd he maketh the vessels which upon the table, its dishes, and its bowls, and its cups, and the cups by which they pour out, of pure gold.

He made the utensils which were on the table, its dishes and its pans and its bowls and its jars, with which to pour out drink offerings, of pure gold.

17 A nd he maketh the candlestick of pure gold; of beaten work he hath made the candlestick, its base, and its branch, its calyxes, its knops, and its flowers, have been of the same;

Then he made the lampstand of pure gold. He made the lampstand of hammered work, its base and its shaft; its cups, its bulbs and its flowers were of one piece with it.

18 a nd six branches are coming out of its sides, three branches of the candlestick out of its one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of its second side;

There were six branches going out of its sides; three branches of the lampstand from the one side of it and three branches of the lampstand from the other side of it;

19 t hree calyxes, made like almonds, in the one branch, a knop and a flower; and three calyxes, made like almonds, in another branch, a knop and a flower; so to the six branches which are coming out of the candlestick.

three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a bulb and a flower in one branch, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a bulb and a flower in the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand.

20 A nd in the candlestick four calyxes, made like almonds, its knops, and its flowers,

In the lampstand there were four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its bulbs and its flowers;

21 a nd a knop under the two branches of the same, and a knop under the two branches of the same, and a knop under the two branches of the same, to the six branches which are coming out of it;

and a bulb was under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand.

22 t heir knops and their branches have been of the same; all of it one beaten work of pure gold.

Their bulbs and their branches were of one piece with it; the whole of it was a single hammered work of pure gold.

23 A nd he maketh its seven lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuff-dishes, of pure gold;

He made its seven lamps with its snuffers and its trays of pure gold.

24 o f a talent of pure gold he hath made it, and all its vessels.

He made it and all its utensils from a talent of pure gold.

25 A nd he maketh the perfume-altar of shittim wood; a cubit its length, and a cubit its breadth (square), and two cubits its height; its horns have been of the same;

Then he made the altar of incense of acacia wood: a cubit long and a cubit wide, square, and two cubits high; its horns were of one piece with it.

26 a nd he overlayeth it with pure gold, its top and its sides round about, and its horns; and he maketh for it a wreath of gold round about;

He overlaid it with pure gold, its top and its sides all around, and its horns; and he made a gold molding for it all around.

27 a nd two rings of gold he hath made for it under its wreath, at its two corners, at its two sides, for places for staves to bear it with them.

He made two golden rings for it under its molding, on its two sides—on opposite sides—as holders for poles with which to carry it.

28 A nd he maketh the staves of shittim wood, and overlayeth them with gold;

He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.

29 a nd he maketh the holy anointing oil, and the pure spice-perfume -- work of a compounder.

And he made the holy anointing oil and the pure, fragrant incense of spices, the work of a perfumer.
