1 T hen the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the boat, you and all your family. For I have seen that you only are right and good at this time.

And Jehovah said to Noah, Go into the ark, thou and all thy house; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

2 T ake with you seven of every clean animal of each sex, and one of each sex of the animals that are unclean.

Of all clean beasts thou shalt take to thee by sevens, a male and its female; but of the beasts that are not clean two, a male and its female.

3 A nd take with you seven of every kind of bird of the sky of each sex, to keep their kind alive over all the earth.

Also of the fowl of the heavens by sevens, male and female; to keep seed alive on the face of all the earth.

4 I n seven days I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. I will destroy from the land every living thing that I have made.”

For in yet seven days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living being which I have made will I destroy from the ground.

5 A nd Noah did all that the Lord told him to do.

And Noah did according to all that Jehovah had commanded him.

6 N oah was 600 years old when the flood of water came upon the earth.

And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was on the earth.

7 T hen Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives all went into the large boat because of the water of the flood.

And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

8 C lean animals and animals that were unclean and birds and every thing that moved on the ground

Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowl, and of everything that creeps on the ground,

9 w ent into the large boat with Noah. They went two by two, male and female, just as God had told Noah.

there came two and two unto Noah into the ark, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.

10 A fter seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth.

11 I n the year 600 of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, all the wells of water under the earth broke open. The windows of the heavens were opened.

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

12 A nd the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

And the pour of rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.

13 O n the very same day Noah and his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, all went into the large boat.

On the same day went Noah, and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

14 W ith them went every kind of animal, and all the cattle, and every thing that moved on the earth, and every kind of bird.

they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and all fowl after its kind—every bird of every wing.

15 T hey went into the large boat with Noah, two of every living thing.

And they went to Noah, into the ark, two and two of all flesh, in which was the breath of life.

16 M ale and female of all flesh went in as God had told Noah. Then the Lord shut him in.

And they that came, came male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him. And Jehovah shut him in.

17 T he flood came upon the earth for forty days. The water got deeper and raised up the large boat so that it was lifted above the earth.

And the flood was forty days on the earth. And the waters increased, and bore up the ark; and it was lifted up above the earth.

18 T he water was very deep upon the earth. And the boat stayed upon the top of the water.

And the waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth; and the ark went on the face of the waters.

19 T he water got higher and higher upon the earth until all the high mountains under heaven were covered.

And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth; and all the high mountains that are under all the heavens were covered.

20 B ut the water went about four times taller than a man above the tops of the mountains.

Fifteen cubits upward the waters prevailed; and the mountains were covered.

21 A ll flesh that moved on the earth was destroyed, birds and cattle and wild animals, and every man.

And all flesh that moved on the earth expired, fowl as well as cattle, and beasts, and all crawling things which crawl on the earth, and all mankind:

22 E very thing that had the breath of life and lived on dry land died.

everything which had in its nostrils the breath of life, of all that was on the dry, died.

23 G od destroyed every living thing upon the land, from man to animals, from things that moved upon the ground to birds of the sky. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those that were with him in the large boat.

And every living being was destroyed that was on the ground, both man, and cattle, and creeping things, and fowl of the heavens; and they were destroyed from the earth. And Noah alone remained, and what was with him in the ark.

24 A nd the water covered the earth for 150 days.

And the waters prevailed on the earth a hundred and fifty days.
