Revelation 7 ~ Revelation 7

1 A fter this I saw four angels. They were standing at the four corners of the earth. They were holding back the four winds of the earth so no wind would blow on the earth or the sea or on any tree.

And after this I saw four angels standing upon the four corners of the earth, holding fast the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow upon the earth, nor upon the sea, nor upon any tree.

2 I saw another angel coming from the east. He was carrying the mark of the living God. He called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to hurt the earth and sea.

And I saw another angel ascending from sunrising, having seal of living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it had been given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 T he angel from the east said, “Do not hurt the earth or the sea or the trees until we have put the mark of God on the foreheads of the servants He owns.”

saying, Hurt not the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, until we shall have sealed the bondmen of our God upon their foreheads.

4 I heard how many there were who received the mark of God. There were 144, 000 people of the twelve family groups of Israel.

And I heard the number of the sealed, a hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of sons of Israel:

5 T hese received the mark of God: 12, 000 from the family group of Judah, 12, 000 from the family group of Reuben, 12, 000 from the family group of Gad,

out of tribe of Juda, twelve thousand sealed; out of tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand; out of tribe of Gad, twelve thousand;

6 1 2, 000 from the family group of Asher, 12, 000 from the family group of Naphtali, 12, 000 from the family group of Manasseh,

out of tribe of Aser, twelve thousand; out of tribe of Nepthalim, twelve thousand; out of tribe of Manasseh, twelve thousand;

7 1 2, 000 from the family group of Simeon, 12, 000 from the family group of Levi, 12, 000 from the family group of Issachar,

out of tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand; out of tribe of Levi, twelve thousand; out of tribe of Issachar, twelve thousand;

8 1 2, 000 from the family group of Zebulun, 12, 000 from the family group of Joseph, and 12, 000 from the family group of Benjamin. The Many People Who Belonged to God

out of tribe of Zabulun, twelve thousand; out of tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand; out of tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand sealed.

9 A fter this I saw many people. No one could tell how many there were. They were from every nation and from every family and from every kind of people and from every language. They were standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white clothes and they held branches in their hands.

After these things I saw, and lo, a great crowd, which no one could number, out of every nation and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palm branches in their hands.

10 A nd they were crying out with a loud voice, “We are saved from the punishment of sin by our God Who sits on the throne and by the Lamb!”

And they cry with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb.

11 T hen all of the angels standing around the throne and around the leaders and the four living beings got down on their faces before God and worshiped Him.

And all the angels stood around the throne, and the elders, and the four living creatures, and fell before the throne upon their faces, and worshipped God,

12 T hey said, “Let it be so! May our God have worship and shining-greatness and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength forever. Let it be so!”

saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and strength, to our God, to the ages of ages. Amen.

13 T hen one of the twenty-four leaders asked me, “Who are these people dressed in white clothes? Where did they come from?”

And one of the elders answered, saying to me, These who are clothed with white robes, who are they, and whence came they?

14 I answered him, “Sir, you know.” Then he said to me, “These are the ones who came out of the time of much trouble. They have washed their clothes and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

And I said to him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they who come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 F or this reason they are before the throne of God. They help Him day and night in the house of God. And He Who sits on the throne will care for them as He is among them.

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple, and he that sits upon the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them.

16 T hey will never be hungry or thirsty again. The sun or any burning heat will not shine down on them.

They shall not hunger any more, neither shall they thirst any more, nor shall the sun at all fall on them, nor any burning heat;

17 F or the Lamb Who is in the center of the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to wells of the water of life. God will take away all tears from their eyes.”

because the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them, and shall lead them to fountains of waters of life, and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.
