1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; let those that hate him flee before him.

2 A s smoke is driven away; so drive them away: as wax melts before the fire, so shall the wicked perish at the presence of God.

3 B ut the righteous shall be glad; they shall rejoice before God; they shall dance with joy.

But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.

4 S ing unto God, sing psalms unto his name; extol him that rides upon the heavens by his name JAH and rejoice before him.

Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name Y AH, And rejoice before Him.

5 A father of the fatherless and a defender of the widows is God in his holy habitation.

6 G od sets the solitary in families; he brings out those who are bound with chains, but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

7 O God, when thou didst go forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:

O God, when You went out before Your people, When You marched through the wilderness, Selah

8 T he earth shook, the heavens also dropped their rain at the presence of God; even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 T hou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, by which thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, When it was weary.

10 T hy presence was in thy congregation; thou, O God, by thy goodness thou hast provided for the poor.

Your congregation dwelt in it; You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor.

11 T he Lord shall give a word; great shall be the host of the evangelists thereof.

The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it:

12 K ings of armies fled apace, and she that dwells in the house divided the spoil.

“Kings of armies flee, they flee, And she who remains at home divides the spoil.

13 T hough ye be cast among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver and her feathers with yellow gold.

Though you lie down among the sheepfolds, You will be like the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her feathers with yellow gold.”

14 W hen the Almighty scattered the kings that were in her, she became white as the snow in Salmon.

When the Almighty scattered kings in it, It was white as snow in Zalmon.

15 The mountain of Bashan is the mountain of God; the mountain of Bashan is a high mountain.

A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; A mountain of many peaks is the mountain of Bashan.

16 W hy leap ye, ye high mountains? This is the mountain which God desires to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.

Why do you fume with envy, you mountains of many peaks? This is the mountain which God desires to dwell in; Yes, the Lord will dwell in it forever.

17 T he chariots of God are two thousand, thousands of angels; the Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the sanctuary.

The chariots of God are twenty thousand, Even thousands of thousands; The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place.

18 T hou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive; thou hast received gifts for men, yea, for the rebellious also that the LORD God might dwell among them.

You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the Lord God might dwell there.

19 B lessed be the Lord, who daily lades us with benefits, even the God of our saving health. Selah.

Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah

20 H e that is our God is the God of salvation, and unto GOD the Lord belongs the way of escape from death.

Our God is the God of salvation; And to G OD the Lord belong escapes from death.

21 S urely God shall smite the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such a one as goes on still in his trespasses.

But God will wound the head of His enemies, The hairy scalp of the one who still goes on in his trespasses.

22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:

The Lord said, “I will bring back from Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea,

23 T hy foot shall be dipped in the blood of thine enemies and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.

That your foot may crush them in blood, And the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from your enemies.”

24 T hey have seen thy ways, O God, even the ways of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

They have seen Your procession, O God, The procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.

25 T he singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; in between them were the virgins playing with timbrels.

26 B less ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, ye of the lineage of Israel.

Bless God in the congregations, The Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

27 T here was little Benjamin as their ruler, the princes of Judah in their congregation, the princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali.

There is little Benjamin, their leader, The princes of Judah and their company, The princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali.

28 T hy God has commanded thy strength; confirm, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

Your God has commanded your strength; Strengthen, O God, what You have done for us.

29 F rom thy temple in Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.

Because of Your temple at Jerusalem, Kings will bring presents to You.

30 R eprehend the company of spearmen, the multitude of the strong, with the lords of the peoples, trampling them underfoot with their pieces of silver; Destroy thou the peoples that delight in war.

Rebuke the beasts of the reeds, The herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples, Till everyone submits himself with pieces of silver. Scatter the peoples who delight in war.

31 P rinces shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.

Envoys will come out of Egypt; Ethiopia will quickly stretch out her hands to God.

32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord Selah:

Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; Oh, sing praises to the Lord, Selah

33 T o him that rides upon the heavens of the heavens which were of old; behold, he shall send forth his voice, his mighty voice.

To Him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which were of old! Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice.

34 A scribe ye strength unto God; his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

Ascribe strength to God; His excellence is over Israel, And His strength is in the clouds.

35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy sanctuaries; the God of Israel is he that gives strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!
