1 A nd the Lord said to Moses,
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 O n the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
“On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
3 A nd you shall put in it the ark of the Testimony and screen the ark with the veil.
You shall put in it the ark of the Testimony, and partition off the ark with the veil.
4 Y ou shall bring in the table and set in order the things that are to be upon it; and you shall bring in the lampstand and set up and light its lamps.

5 Y ou shall set the golden altar for the incense before the ark of the Testimony and put the hanging or screen at the tabernacle door.
You shall also set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the Testimony, and put up the screen for the door of the tabernacle.
6 Y ou shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
Then you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
7 A nd you shall set the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it.
And you shall set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
8 A nd you shall set up the court round about and hang up the hanging or screen at the court gate.

9 Y ou shall take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall consecrate it and all its furniture, and it shall be holy.

10 Y ou shall anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils; and consecrate (set apart for God) the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.

11 A nd you shall anoint the laver and its base and consecrate it.

12 Y ou shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.

13 Y ou shall put on Aaron the holy garments, and anoint and consecrate him, so he may serve Me as priest.
You shall put the holy garments on Aaron, and anoint him and consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest.
14 A nd you shall bring his sons and put long and sleeved tunics on them,
And you shall bring his sons and clothe them with tunics.
15 A nd you shall anoint them as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”
16 T hus did Moses; according to all that the Lord commanded him, so he did.

17 A nd on the first day of the first month in the second year the tabernacle was erected.
And it came to pass in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up.
18 M oses set up the tabernacle, laid its sockets, set up its boards, put in its bars, and erected its pillars.
So Moses raised up the tabernacle, fastened its sockets, set up its boards, put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.
19 s pread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent over it, as the Lord had commanded him.
And he spread out the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
20 H e took the Testimony and put it into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark.
He took the Testimony and put it into the ark, inserted the poles through the rings of the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark.
21 b rought the ark into the tabernacle and set up the veil of the screen and screened the ark of the Testimony, as the Lord had commanded him.
And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, hung up the veil of the covering, and partitioned off the ark of the Testimony, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22 M oses put the table in the Tent of Meeting on the north side of the tabernacle outside the veil;

23 H e set the bread in order on it before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded him.
and he set the bread in order upon it before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
24 A nd he put the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle.
He put the lampstand in the tabernacle of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the tabernacle;
25 M oses set up and lighted the lamps before the Lord, as the Lord commanded him.
and he lit the lamps before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
26 H e put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;
He put the gold altar in the tabernacle of meeting in front of the veil;
27 H e burned sweet incense upon it, as the Lord commanded him.
and he burned sweet incense on it, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
28 A nd he set up the hanging or screen at the door of the tabernacle.
He hung up the screen at the door of the tabernacle.
29 p ut the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting and offered on it the burnt offering and the cereal offering, as the Lord commanded him.
And he put the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the grain offering, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
30 A nd Moses set the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing.
He set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water there for washing;
31 A nd Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.
and Moses, Aaron, and his sons would wash their hands and their feet with water from it.
32 W hen they went into the Tent of Meeting or came near the altar, they washed, as the Lord commanded Moses.
Whenever they went into the tabernacle of meeting, and when they came near the altar, they washed, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
33 A nd he erected the court round about the tabernacle and the altar and set up the hanging or screen at the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
And he raised up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the screen of the court gate. So Moses finished the work. The Cloud and the Glory
34 T hen the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle!
Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
35 A nd Moses was not able to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud remained upon it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
36 I n all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the Israelites went onward;
Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys.
37 B ut if the cloud was not taken up, they did not journey on till the day that it was taken up.
But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up.
38 F or throughout all their journeys the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.
For the cloud of the Lord was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
