1 F ollow my way of thinking as I follow Christ. How Christian Women Should Live

تَمَثَّلُوا بِي كَما أتَمَثَّلُ أنا أيضاً فِي المَسِيحِ. الخُضُوعُ لِلسُّلُطات

2 I think you have done well because you always remember me and have followed the things I taught you.

وَإنِّي أمدَحُكُمْ، لِأنَّكُمْ تَتَذَكَّرُونِي عَلَى الدَّوامِ، وَلِأنَّكُمْ مُتَمَسِّكُونَ بِالتَّقالِيدِ كَما سَلَّمتُها إلَيكُمْ.

3 I want you to know that Christ is the head of every man. The husband is the head of his wife. God is the head of Christ.

لَكِنِّي أُرِيدُكُمْ أنْ تَعلَمُوا أنَّ المَسِيحَ هُوَ رَأْسُ كُلِّ رَجُلٍ، وَأنَّ الرَّجُل هُوَ رَأسُ المَرأةِ، وَأنَّ اللهَ هُوَ رَأسُ المَسِيحِ.

4 I f any man prays or preaches with his head covered, he does not give honor to Christ.

فَكُلُّ رَجُلٍ يُصَلِّي أوْ يَتَنَبَّأُ أمامَ الكَنِيسَةِ وَهُوَ مُغَطَّى الرَّأْسِ يُهِينُ رَأسَهُ، أيِ المَسِيحَ.

5 E very woman who prays or preaches without her head covered does not respect her head. It is the same as if she had her hair cut off.

وَكُلُّ امْرأةٍ تُصَلِّي أوْ تَتَنَبَّأُ أمامَ الكَنِيسَةِ وَهِيَ مَكشُوفَةُ الرَّأسِ تُهِينُ رَأسَها، وَهِيَ أشبَهُ تَماماً بامرأةٍ مَحلُوقَةِ الرَّأْسِ.

6 I f a woman does not cover her head, she might as well cut off her hair also. If a woman is ashamed to have her hair cut off, she should cover her head.

فَإذا لَمْ تُغَطِّ المَرأةُ رَأسَها، فَإنَّها تَكونُ كَمَنْ قَصَّتْ شَعرَها كُلَّهُ! لَكِنْ مادامَ أمراً مُعِيباً أنْ تَحلِقَ المَرأةُ أوْ أنْ تَقُصَّ شَعرَ رَأسِها كُلَّهُ، فَإنَّهُ يَنبَغِي عَلَيها أنْ تُغَطِّيَ رَأْسَها.

7 M an is made like God and His shining-greatness. For this reason a man should not have his head covered when he prays or preaches, but the woman respects the man.

أمّا الرَّجُلُ فَلا يَنبَغِي أنْ يُغَطِّيَ رَأسَهُ، لِأنَّهُ يَعكِسُ صُورَةَ اللهِ وَمَجدَهُ، وَالمَرأةُ تَعكِسُ صُورَةَ الرَّجُلِ.

8 M an was not made from woman. Woman was made from man,

أقُولُ هَذا لِأنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَمْ يَأْتِ مِنَ المَرأةِ، بَلِ المَرأةُ هِيَ الَّتِي جاءَتْ مِنَ الرَّجُلِ.

9 a nd man was not made for woman. Woman was made for man.

كَما أنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَمْ يُخلَقْ مِنْ أجلِ المَرأةِ، بَلِ المَرأةُ خُلِقَتْ مِنْ أجلِ الرَّجُلِ.

10 F or this reason a woman should have a covering on her head. This shows she respects man. This is for the angels to see also.

لِذَلِكَ يَنبَغِي أنْ تُغَطِّيَ المَرأةُ رَأْسَها كَعَلامَةٍ تُبَيِّنُ أنَّها تَحتَ سُلطانٍ، وَلِأجلِ المَلائِكَةِ أيضاً.

11 I n God’s plan women need men and men need women.

غَيرَ أنَّهُ فِي الرَّبِّ، لا المَرأةُ مُستَقِلَّةٌ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ، وَلا الرَّجُلُ مُستَقِلٌّ عَنِ المَرأةِ.

12 W oman was made from man, but man is born of woman. God made all things.

فَكَما أنَّ المَرأةَ جاءَتْ مِنَ الرَّجُلِ، فَإنَّ الرَّجُلَ أيضاً يُولَدُ مِنَ المَرأةِ. لَكِنْ كُلُّ الأشياءِ تَأْتِي مِنَ اللهِ.

13 T hink this over yourselves. Does it look right for a woman to pray with no covering on her head?

فَاحكُمُوا أنتُمْ فِي هَذا بَينَكُمْ وَبَينَ أنفُسِكُمْ: أيَلِيقُ أنْ تُصَلِّيَ المَرأةُ للهِ عَلَناً وَهِيَ مَكشُوفَةُ الرَّأْسِ؟

14 H ave we not already learned that it is a shame for a man to have long hair?

ألا تُعَلِّمُكُمُ الطَّبِيعَةُ نَفسُها أنَّهُ عارٌ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ أنْ يُطِيلَ شَعرهُ؟

15 B ut a woman can be proud to have long hair. Her hair is given to her for a covering.

أمّا الشَّعرُ الطَّوِيلُ فَمَجدٌ لِلمَرأةِ، لِأنَّهُ أُعطِيَ لَها كَغِطاءٍ طَبِيعِيٍّ.

16 I f anyone wants to argue about this, my answer is that this is what we teach, and all the churches agree with me. How the Lord’s Supper Should Be Eaten

لَكِنْ يَبدُو أنَّ بَعضَهُمْ يُحِبُّ أنْ يُجادِلَ، أمّا نَحنُ وَجَمِيعُ كَنائِسِ اللهِ فَلَيسَتْ لَنا هَذِهِ العادَةُ. العَشاءُ الرَّبّانِيّ

17 W hile writing about these things, let me tell you what I think. Nothing good is coming from your meeting together.

أمّا بِخُصُوصِ المَسألَةِ التّالِيَةِ، فَلا أمدَحُكُمْ! لِأنَّ اجتِماعاتِكُمْ تَضُرُّكُمْ أكثَرَ مِمّا تَنفَعُكُمْ!

18 F irst of all, I hear that when you meet together in the church you are divided into groups and you argue. I almost believe this is true.

أوَّلاً، أسمَعُ أنَّهُ كُلَّما اجتَمَعتُمْ كَكَنِيسَةٍ، تَحصُلُ بَينَكُمُ انقِساماتٌ، وَأنا أُصَدِّقُ بَعضَ ما أسمَعُ.

19 F or there must be different groups among you. In that way, those who are right will be seen from those who are wrong.

إذْ لا بُدَّ أنْ تَكُونَ بَينَكُمْ شِقاقاتٌ، لِكَي يَظهَرَ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَفعَلُونَ الصَّوابَ!

20 W hen you gather together for your meetings, it is not to eat the Lord’s supper.

فَحِينَ تَجتَمِعُونَ مَعاً، فَإنَّكُمْ لا تَأكُلُونَ حَقّاً العَشاءَ الرَّبّانِيِّ.

21 E ach one is in a hurry to eat his own food first. He does not wait for others. In this way, one does not get enough food and drink. Others get too much and get drunk.

لأنَّكُمْ حِينَ تَأْكُلُونَ، يُسارِعُ كُلُّ واحِدٍ إلَى تَناوُلِ عَشائِهِ الَّذِي أحْضَرَهُ لِنَفسِهِ، فَيَجُوعُ واحِدٌ وَيَسكَرُ آخَرُ!

22 Y ou have your own homes to eat and drink in. Or do you hate the church of God and shame those who are poor? What am I to say to you? Am I to say you are right? No! I cannot say you are right in this. The Meaning of the Lord’s Supper

ألَيسَتْ لَكُمْ بُيُوتٌ تَأْكُلُونَ فِيها؟ أمْ أنَّكُمْ تَحتَقِرُونَ كَنِيسَةَ اللهِ وَتُحرِجُونَ الفٌقَراءَ؟ فَماذا أقُولُ لَكُمْ؟ هَلْ أمدَحُكُمْ؟ لَيسَ هُناكَ ما أمدَحُكُمْ بِهِ فِي هَذِهِ المَسألَةِ.

23 I have given you the teaching I received from the Lord. The night Jesus was handed over to the soldiers, He took bread.

فَقَدْ تَسَلَّمتُ مِنَ الرَّبِّ التَّعلِيمَ نَفسَهُ الَّذِي سَلَّمتُكُمْ إيّاهُ، وَهُوَ أنَّهُ فِي اللَّيلَةِ الَّتِي تَعَرَّضَ فِيها الرَّبُّ يَسُوعُ لِلخِيانَةِ، أخَذَ خُبْزاً،

24 W hen He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take this bread and eat it. This is My body which is broken for you. Do this to remember Me.”

وَشَكَرَ اللهَ ثُمَّ قَسَّمَهُ وَقالَ: «هَذا هُوَ جَسَدِي الَّذِي أُعطيهِ لَكُمْ. اعمَلُوا هَذا تَذكاراً لِي.»

25 I n the same way after supper, He took the cup. He said, “This cup is the New Way of Worship made between God and you by My blood. Whenever you drink it, do it to remember Me.”

وَعادَ فَتَناوَلَ كَأْسَ النَّبِيذِ بَعدَما تَعَشُّوا وَقالَ: «هَذِهِ الكَأسُ هِيَ كَأْسُ العَهدِ الجَدِيدِ الَّذِي يُقطَعُ بِدَمِي. فَكُلَّما شَرِبتُمْ هَذا الشَّرابَ، اشْرَبُوهُ تَذكاراً لِي.»

26 E very time you eat this bread and drink from this cup you are telling of the Lord’s death until He comes again.

فَكُلَّما أكَلتُمْ مِنْ هَذا الخُبزِ وَشَرِبتُمْ مِنْ هَذِهِ الكَأْسِ، فَإنَّكُمْ تُذِيعُونَ مَوتَ الرَّبِّ إلَى أنْ يَجِيءَ ثانِيَةً.

27 A nyone who eats the bread or drinks from the cup, if his spirit is not right with the Lord, will be guilty of sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord.

فَكُلُّ مَنْ يَأكُلُ الخُبزَ وَيَشرَبُ كَأْسَ الرَّبِّ، بِأُسلُوبٍ غَيرِ لائِقٍ، يَكُونُ مُخطِئاً ضِدَّ جَسَدِ الرَّبِّ وَدَمِهِ.

28 T his is why a man should look into his own heart and life before eating the bread and drinking from the cup.

لَكِنْ عَلَى كُلِّ واحِدٍ أنْ يَفحَصَ نَفسَهُ وَبَعدَ ذَلِكَ يُمكِنُهُ أنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنَ الخُبزِ وَيَشرَبَ الكَأْسَ.

29 A nyone who eats the bread and drinks from the cup, if his spirit is not right with the Lord, will be guilty as he eats and drinks. He does not understand the meaning of the Lord’s body.

فَمَنْ يَأكُلُ الخُبزَ وَيَشرَبُ الكَأسَ دُونَ أنْ يَهتَمَّ بِأُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ جَسَدُ الرَّبِّ، فَإنَّهُ يَأْكُلُ وَيَشرَبُ دَينُونَةً عَليهِ.

30 T his is why some of you are sick and weak, and some have died.

لِذَلِكَ بَينَكُمْ كَثِيرُونَ ضُعَفاءُ وَمَرضَى، وَكَثِيرُونَ ماتوا.

31 B ut if we would look into our own lives and see if we are guilty, then God would not have to say we are guilty.

لَكِنْ إنْ حَكَمنا عَلَىْ أنفُسِنا، فَلَنْ يُحكَمَ عَلَينا.

32 W hen we are guilty, we are punished by the Lord so we will not be told we are guilty with the rest of the world.

وَعِندَما يَحكُمُ الرَّبُّ عَلَينا فَإنَّهُ يُؤَدِّبُنا، لِكَيلا نُدانَ مَعَ الآخَرِينَ فِي العالَمِ.

33 C hristian brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for each other.

إذاً، أيُّها الإخوَةُ، عِندَما تَجتَمِعُونَ مَعاً لِلأكلِ، لِيَنتَظِرْ أحَدُكُمُ الآخَرَ.

34 I f anyone is hungry, he should eat at home. Then he will not be guilty as you meet together. I will talk about the other things when I come.

فَإنْ كانَ أحَدُكُمْ جائِعاً حَقّاً، فَليَأْكُلْ فِي بَيتِهِ، لِئَلّا تَتَعَرَّضُوا إلَى دَينُونَةٍ نَتِيجَةً لاجتِماعاتِكُمْ هَذِهِ. أمّا الأُمُورُ الأُخرَى فَسَأقُومُ بِتَصوِيبِها حِينَ آتِي.
