1 “ I have told you these things so you will not be ashamed of Me and leave Me.

«ها أنا أُخبِرُكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ لِئِلّا يَهتَزَّ إيْمانُكُمْ.

2 T hey will put you out of the places of worship. The time will come when anyone who kills you will think he is helping God.

سَيَحرِمُونَكُمْ مِنْ دُخُولِ المَجامِعِ. بَلْ سَيَأْتِي وَقتٌ يَظُنُّ فِيْهِ كُلُّ مَنْ يَقْتُلُ واحِداً مِنْكُمْ أنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ عِبادَةً للهِ.

3 T hey will do these things to you because they do not know the Father or Me.

سَيَفْعَلُونَ مِثلَ هَذِهِ الأشْياءِ بِكُمْ لِأنَّهُمْ لا يَعرِفُونَ الآبَ وَلا يَعرِفُونَنِي.

4 “ When these things happen, you will remember I told you they would happen. That is why I am telling you about these things now. I did not tell you these things before, because I was with you.

لَكِنِّي أُخبِرُكُمْ بِهَذا حَتَّى تَتَذَكَّرُوا حِيْنَ يَأْتِي وَقْتُهُمْ أنَّنِي حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنْهُمْ. عَمَلُ الرُّوحِ القُدُس «لَمْ أُخبِرْكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ فِي البِدايَةِ لِأنِّي كُنْتُ مَعْكُمْ.

5 B ut now I am going to Him Who sent Me. Yet none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ The Three Kinds of Work of the Holy Spirit

أمّا الآنَ فَإنِّي ذاهِبٌ إلَى الَّذِي أرسَلَنِي. وَلَمْ يَسْألْنِي أحَدٌ مِنكُمُ الآنَ: ‹إلَى أيْنَ أنتَ ذاهِبٌ؟›

6 “ Your hearts are full of sorrow because I am telling you these things.

بَلْ يَملأُ الحُزنُ قُلُوبَكُمْ لِأنِّي أخبَرْتُكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ.

7 I tell you the truth. It is better for you that I go away. If I do not go, the Helper will not come to you. If I go, I will send Him to you.

لَكِنِّي أقُولُ الحَقَّ لَكُمْ: إنَّ ذَهابِي سَيَكُونُ لِخَيْرِكُمْ. لِأنَّ المُعِيْنَ لَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمْ ما لَمْ أذْهَب. أمّا إذا ذَهَبْتُ، فَسَأُرْسِلُهُ إلَيْكُمْ.

8 W hen the Helper comes, He will show the world the truth about sin. He will show the world about being right with God. And He will show the world what it is to be guilty.

«وَحِيْنَ يَأْتِي فَإنَّهُ سَيُقنِعُ العالَمَ بِحَقِيْقَةِ الخَطِيَّةِ وَالبِرِّ وَالدَّيْنُونَةِ.

9 H e will show the world about sin, because they do not put their trust in Me.

سَيُقنِعُ العالَمَ بِخَطِيَّتِهِمْ، لِأنَّهُمْ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِي.

10 H e will show the world about being right with God, because I go to My Father and you will see Me no more.

وَسَيُقْنِعُ العالَمَ بِبِرِّي، لِأنِّي ذاهِبٌ إلَى الآبِ، وَلَنْ تَعُودُوا تَرَوْنَنِي.

11 H e will show the world what it is to be guilty because the leader of this world (Satan) is guilty. The Holy Spirit Will Give Honor to the Son

وَسَيُقنِعُ العالَمَ بِالدَّيْنُونَةِ، لِأنَّ الشَّيْطانَ الَّذِي يَحكُمُ هَذا العالَمَ قَدْ أُدِيْنَ بِالفِعلِ.

12 “ I still have many things to say to you. You are not strong enough to understand them now.

«مازالَ عِندِي كَثِيْرٌ لِأقُولَهُ لَكُمْ، لَكِنَّكُمْ لا تَقدِرُونَ أنْ تَحتَمِلُوا سَماعَهُ الآنَ.

13 T he Holy Spirit is coming. He will lead you into all truth. He will not speak His Own words. He will speak what He hears. He will tell you of things to come.

لَكِنْ حِيْنَ يَأْتِي رُوحُ الحَقِّ فَسَيَقُودُكُمْ إلَى كُلِّ الحَقِّ. لِأنَّهُ لَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ مِنْ عِندِهِ، بَلْ سَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِكُلِّ ما يَسْمَعُ، وَسَيُعلِنُ لَكُمْ ما هُوَ آتٍ.

14 H e will honor Me. He will receive what is Mine and will tell it to you.

وَسَيُمَجِّدُنِي، لِأنَّهُ سَيُعلِنُ لَكُمْ كُلَّ ما يَأْخُذُهُ مِنِّي.

15 E verything the Father has is Mine. That is why I said to you, ‘He will receive what is Mine and will tell it to you.’ Jesus Tells of His Death

كُلُّ ما يَملِكُهُ الآبُ هُوَ لِي. لِهَذا قُلْتُ إنَّهُ سَيُعلِنُ لَكُمْ كُلَّ ما يَأْخُذُهُ مِنِّي.» الحُزنُ يَتَحَوَّلُ إلَى فَرَح

16 “ In a little while you will not see Me. Then in a little while you will see Me again.”

ثُمَّ قالَ: «بَعدَ قَلِيلٍ لَنْ تَعُودُوا تُرُونَنِي، ثُمَّ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِقَلِيلٍ سَتَرَونَنِي ثانِيَةً!»

17 S ome of His followers said to each other, “What is He trying to tell us when He says, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and in a little while you will see Me again,’ and ‘Because I go to My Father’ ?”

فَقالَ بَعضُ تَلامِيْذِهِ أحَدُهُمْ لِلآخَرِ: «ما مَعنَى هَذا الَّذِي يَقُولُهُ لَنا: ‹بَعدَ قَلِيلٍ لَنْ تَعُودُوا تَرَونَنِي، ثُمَّ بَعدَ ذَلِكَ بِقَلِيلٍ سَتَرَونَنِي ثانِيَةً›؟ وَماذا يَقصِدُ بِقَولِهِ: ‹لِأنِّي ذاهِبٌ إلَى الآبِ›؟»

18 S o they said, “What is He trying to tell us by saying, ‘A little while’ ? We do not know what He is talking about.”

وَقالُوا: «وَما هُوَ هَذا الوَقتُ القَلِيلُ الَّذِي يَتَحَدَّثُ عَنهُ؟»

19 J esus knew they wanted to ask Him something. He said to them, “Are you asking each other why I said, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and in a little while you will see Me again’?

فَعَرَفَ يَسُوعُ أنَّ لَدَيْهِمْ أسئِلَةً يُرِيدُونَ طَرحَها، فَقالَ لَهُمْ: «هَلْ تَتَساءَلُونَ عَنْ مَعنَى قَولِي: ‹بَعدَ قَلِيلٍ لَنْ تَعُودُوا تَرَونَنِي، ثُمَّ بَعدَ ذَلِكَ بِقَلِيلٍ سَتَرَونَنِي ثانِيَةً›؟

20 F or sure, I tell you, you will cry and have sorrow, but the world will have joy. You will have sorrow, but your sorrow will turn into joy.

أقُولُ الحَقَّ لَكُمْ: أنتُمْ سَتَبكُونَ وَتَنُوحُونَ، أمّا العالَمُ فَسَيَبتَهِجُ. أنتُمْ سَتَحزَنُونَ، غَيرَ أنَّ حُزنَكُمْ سَيَتَحَوَّلُ إلَى فَرَحٍ.

21 W hen a woman gives birth to a child, she has sorrow because her time has come. After the child is born, she forgets her pain. She is full of joy because a child has been born into the world.

«تَكُونُ المَرأةُ حَزِيْنَةً وَهِيَ تَلِدُ، لِأنَّ وَقتَ ألَمِها قَدْ حانَ. لَكِنْ حِينَ يُولَدُ الطِّفلُ، فَإنَّها تَنسَى الألَمَ بِسَبَبِ فَرَحِها، لِأنَّ طِفلاً وُلِدَ فِي هَذا العالَمِ.

22 Y ou are sad now. I will see you again and then your hearts will be full of joy. No one can take your joy from you. Asking and Receiving

وَهَذا هُوَ حالُكُمُ الآنَ. فَأنتُمْ حَزانَى، لَكِنِّي سَأراكُمْ ثانِيَةً، وَسَتَفرَحُ قُلُوبُكُمْ. وَلَنْ يَقدِرَ أحَدٌ أنْ يَسلِبُ مِنكُمْ فَرَحَكُمْ.

23 “ When the time comes that you see Me again, you will ask Me no question. For sure, I tell you, My Father will give you whatever you ask in My name.

فِي ذَلِكَ اليَومِ، لَنْ تَسألُونِي أيَّةَ أسئِلَةٍ أُخْرَى. أقُولُ الحَقَّ لَكُمْ: مَهما طَلَبتُمْ مِنَ الآبِ باسْمِي، فَإنَّهُ سَيُعطِيْكُمْ.

24 U ntil now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive. Then your joy will be full.

إلَى الآنِ لَمْ تَطلُبُوا شَيْئاً باسمِي. اطلُبُوا وَسَتَنالُونَ، لِكَي يَكُونَ فَرَحُكُمْ كامِلاً. الانتِصارُ عَلَى العالَم

25 “ I have told you these things in picture-stories. The time is coming when I will not use picture-stories. I will talk about My Father in plain words.

«كَلَّمْتُكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ مُستَخدِماً أمثِلَةً رَمزِيَّةً. وَلَكِنْ يَأْتِي وَقتٌ لا أعُودُ فِيهِ أستَخدِمُ أمثِلَةً فِي كَلامِي مَعَكُمْ، بَلْ سَأتَحَدَّثُ إلَيْكُمْ عَنِ الآبِ بِكَلامٍ وَاضِحٍ.

26 I n that day you will ask in My name. I will not ask the Father for you

فِي ذَلِكَ اليَومِ سَتَطلُبُونَ مِنَ الآبِ باسْمِي، وَلا أقُولُ إنِّي سَأطلُبُ مِنَ الآبِ لَكُمْ.

27 b ecause the Father loves you. He loves you because you love Me and believe that I came from the Father. Jesus Tells of His Going

فَالآبُ نَفسُهُ يُحِبُّكُمْ، لِأنَّكُمْ قَدْ أحبَبْتُمُونِي وَآمَنتُمْ بِأنِّي جِئتُ مِنَ اللهِ.

28 “ I came from the Father and have come into the world. I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

جِئتُ مِنَ الآبِ، وَأتَيتُ إلَى هَذا العالَمِ. وَالآنَ أُغادِرُ العالَمَ ذاهِباً إلَى الآبِ.»

29 H is followers said to Him, “Now You are talking in plain words. You are not using picture-stories.

فَقالَ تَلامِيْذُهُ: «ها أنتَ تَتَكَلَّمُ بِوُضُوحٍ وَلا تَستَخدِمُ أمثِلَةً.

30 N ow we are sure You know everything. You do not need anyone to tell You anything. Because of this we believe that You came from God.”

وَنَحنُ نَعرِفُ الآنَ أنَّكَ تَعلَمُ كُلَّ شَيءٍ، وَأنَّكَ تُجِيبُ عَنْ سُؤالِ أيِّ إنسانٍ حَتَّى قَبلَ أنْ يَسألَ، لِهَذا نُؤمِنُ أنَّكَ جِئْتَ مِنَ اللهِ.»

31 J esus said to them, “Do you believe now?

فَأجابَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «هَلْ آمَنتُمْ أخِيراً؟

32 T he time is coming, yes, it is already here when you will be going your own way. Everyone will go to his own house and leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with Me.

اسْمَعُوا إذاً، يَأْتِي وَقتٌ، وَها قَدْ أتَى بِالفِعلِ، حِيْنَ تَتَفَرَّقُونَ وَيَعُودُ كُلُّ واحِدٍ مِنكُمْ إلَى بَيتِهِ وَتَترُكُونَنِي وَحدِي. لَكِنِّي لا أكُونُ أبَداً وَحدِي، لِأنَّ الآبَ مَعِي.

33 I have told you these things so you may have peace in Me. In the world you will have much trouble. But take hope! I have power over the world!”

«أخبَرتُكُمْ بِهَذا لِكَي يَكُونَ لَكُمْ سَلامٌ مِنْ خِلالِي. سَتُواجِهُونَ ضِيْقاً فِي العالَمِ، لَكِنْ تَشَجَّعُوا فَأنا قَدِ انتَصَرتُ عَلَى العالَمِ.»
